-frowns as i look at her- "you dont trust me" - that simple statement was coupled with a sigh of exaustion as i look at the shadowed entrance-

"well i do soppose you have a right not to especially what with my advious lie over my name." -sighs again before turning back towards you - "but in my opinion you can only expect what one is willing to put forth so i wil tell you my true name in hope that you will tell me mine. my name is actually Myean Arnis Myelonna, but most know me as Myean the lightning mage. And i already know you can use the shadows from your display of power last night. so if i must then i will ask around town for your identity" - i really wouldnt if she wanted to keep it hidden it was fine but i was now curious about her.- "As to my proposal im sorry you couldnt join me on my quest thank you for the stay and good luck"

-turns to leave and takes a single step before a giant blast of wind sweeps in to knock my back and onto my but.- "oof!!"

I look at the door then to her. "How strange that has never happen before." I walk over to her and help her too her feet. "Ask all you want but you will find now help. No villager will help you with that request you will see. They are forbidden to speak of me my true name lost to their memory's. To them I am just a old story tale that the mothers tell to their children to keep them tame. Though the elders of the village knew better." I turn and looked at the door I pick up a pair from my bag and through it out my door. It came back at me with force from the strange wind that seemed to be present at my door. Though not really a wind it was more like a force. It was preventing anything to leave. "This is quite strange never has this happen before it is not the stones I do not believe. They have never did something likes this before. Why all of a sudden would something want to prevent you from leaving?" I turn and look at Myean as the words from the elders run through my mind again. I froze as I hear those words again only this time the stones began to glow with intensity. I notice that auras appear around both me and Myean as well as strange a strange symbol. "You are special Alee you are the shadow traveler just as the shadows you must guard those who dislike and fear you. Though you may never be seen. You must hide from the day and do your deeds at night. You must travel far and wide and learn the land and the ways of the people. Your day will come and you shall be free from the shadows. Remember Alee even in darkness there is light. When you find the light you will find your freedom from your shadows." I looked at Myean as her symbol reminded me of the ones the elders had drawn so many times in their explanation of light. Was she the light I was looking for in the darkness to be free from it?

"w-what?" -unable to see the symbol between us i was getting nervous under the females stare as i shift from foot to foot subconciously blushing- "is something wrong?"

"Y-You are the light are you not? You are the one they spoke of to me." I reached out and touched my symbol as the stones glow grew blinding. I closed my eyes as I felt something happen to me. I open my eyes as the symbol appeared on my hand it was beautiful. I smiled as I felt at peace for some odd reason. I had never felt so happy or free in my life. I looked as stones went cold and lifeless to my dismay. I looked at them as a small tear ran down my face. I still didn't understand why this had happen but I knew she was the light I must follow. I hung my head as I touched the stones gently their glow gone as well as their beauty now just like the pain and emptiness I had felt for so long. "My name is Chell Alee Alkzay."

"the one who walks in shadow. your the shadow walker i was shearching for." -this relization came seconds before i relized she didnt know what had happened to the power within the stones. in that blinding flash of light i had momentarily stopped seeing with my normal vision and instead i sliped into my second vision where i saw the stones power connect them selves to her-

"chell why are you sad? the stones power did not dissapear. it was never really theres to begin with but yours. it is a powerful protection magic. the ability to make whereever your home is come almost alive to better protect you and serve your self intrests. come i have a feeling we must get you packed and be on our way soon" -leads her to her room and helps her begin to pack- "anything that you cannot take over the ground arond us will cover and protect for you... i have the felling that your secondary magic is far more versitile then you think."

I look at her as I try to understand what she is telling me. So the stones had never really been alive I had made them. I quickly finishing packing my things and look at my once beautiful and safe home. It just looked sad and depressing. I turned to Myean and gave her a smile. "I think I may need your help with my new power it would seem. I guess you have a new way to travel now!" I laughed as I shook my head this was going to be fun now I could help her travel faster and quicker.

"that may be... what are your limitations? if you dont mind me asking. since mine is mostly minute electrical control and sensory control i can affect alot of things. though i have to becareful for sometimes a strong mind block can deter me. i also cannot effect the second scence at all. on the flip side i can detect anything that uses electricity to function. and to a point control it. "

- my voice was full of thought as i talked my face creased in a frown as we worked till we were finished-

I look at her as I try and think about my own power. "I don't know besides the shadows I....I-I...can manipulate minds and cause others to see what I want. I became to good at it that is why I am here. This isn't my real home and it will never be. I had lived in the village not far from here but...I became to good at mind manipulation so they banned me. It scared them the things I could do. I can make illusions real or dreams. I know that if a person is of a pure heart my power will have no effect on them, and they will see what every I show them as a illusion. But there are few people now days with pure hearts so that makes me deadly or that is what the villagers thought. I can shift into a few things as well. My favorite are my bird forms." I look to the door as I remember I want be able to see them anymore though knowing them they will find a way to keep up with me. Those feathered friends of mine always did. I picked up my bag and put it on my shoulders I was ready to start the adventure with Myean. I think she will be able to help me learn more about myself as well as my powers. She knows a lot already that I have no idea about. I think this could be just what I need to regain my life again and become the girl that I see from the reflections.

"you said that your elders know about you?" -my voice quizical as i stood and walked out into the late morning light.- then our next stop is to talk to them. besides we need supplies and i know just the place in the city. besides have you ever thought that maybe its not so much that they were afraid of you as they were jealous of you and your power? i mean look at it this way. your some person with minimal or no magic and here comes this person with powerful magic thats capable of contolling minds. id be jealous i know that but see i know how much a burden magic is. anyways we must hurry i want to be halfway to the text town before nightfall and the days already a quarter over." -setting off at a quick clip we head to a spot a little outside the wall to the town.-

I keep up with her and wait till she is ready to hear what I have to say before I speak to her again. "There is a slight problem with this plan of yours. There are no elders anymore. They have all died all that is left is the mayor of this town and he isn't my biggest fan either." I hang my head as I remember what I had done to him only a while ago. "Besides I did play with him this morning already." I confess as I look at Myean. Though I knew no one in the village knew about it though they just thought it was his grief over his loss.

"hmn ah well theres another way i suppose...." -sighs before i stop roughly 200 yards from the city walls- this is it -reaching down i lightly brush my fingers over the ground in front of me causing a whole to open in the ground.- after you - i motion for her to enter first. following after i turn and reseal the entrance.- hmn its a bit dark in here i guess ill have to use my gift after all -snaps my fingers causing a spark to appear between my fingers lighting up the tunnel we were now in.- forward ho! - my voice rang out as i smile and move off down the tunnel once more headed towards the town.-

-after traveling for about ten mins we enter a basement and i turn out the light.- were here -reaching up i know in a a two three two pattern on the floor and wait till the patterns repeated back. we move up the stairs and step into the middle of a large building near the end of the wall. " myean!" a clear and laughing voice rang out as i was knocked off my feet and onto my but by a laughing girl.- i saved her from eaters about two years ago -i explained to her- shes been like this ever since - peeling the girl away i speak softly to her in a foreign language and watch as she scampers off.- shes going to get the great mother of this town theyll get us supplies

the great mother was a stooped old woman almost a centurie old and withered with age. her scraggly hair had long since lost its red color and is now white/steely gray. the great mother walk up to us slowly and spoke in a hushed voice.- "there is another companion to the north who controls fire. he has become a must for this journey. go to him and recruit him by what ever means neccesary." turning around she left us standing there for a few minutes more till we recieved our supplies.-

-upon doing so we turned and walked back into the tunnel and back down it to head north and begin our next leg of our jorney.-

I keep quite as we go growing quite board with Myean's way of traveling it was quit boring and slow. And the light was getting on my nerves. I couldn't help but giggle as I made shadow puppets and played with them. I know I should be focusing on the task at hand but really the puppets are to much fun! I let my puppets fade as I stop and turn quickly grabbing Myean's hand. I giver her a wicked smile. "Sorry this is to boring time to living things up a bit beside this is faster." I laugh as the shadows engulf both of us. I quickly move us from shadows till we reach another village wall. I move us from the shadows as I smile quit happy now.


I look at the small child that I have been treating. The child had been at deaths door only a few days ago. But now it is quite a sight to see full of life. I give it a hug as it runs back to it's parents. They both thank me and give me some food as their means of repaying me. It is a good thing I don't do my job for money if I did I would have none. The people here are so broke there is little money for anything. I move in my small house to the kitchen area there isn't much there just a table and a brick fireplace where I can make things. I place the food on the table as I pick up the tea I had made before they had come to visit me. I close my eyes as I use my power to heat it back up. I take a drink and smile it was always better hot. I dreaded having guard duty only a few hours from now just what I needed. A afternoon trying to act normal while trying not to get ate by some creator. I look from my tea. Some thing fells different I don't know what but I feel some thing. This is quite strange I thought I wander what is the cause of this. Though I have no doubt I will find out later on.

-this time the same meathod is not neaded as my pass gets us in no questions asked and this village has not heard of the female by my side.- " are you sure were in the right place?" i ask looking around at the decreptid town. we stop at an inn to await night fall at her affirmative me paying for hot baths, good food, and sepperate rooms-

I put my stuff in my room then went out in the town. I went to the edge of the town where not many people could be seen just the shadows and I. I stud there and waited for my friends to come. I smiled as I heard my feather friends not far from where I was. I held out my arm as one of them landed on it. I wore a clock so no one could see my arms. That is all Myean and I needed was for someone to see my arms and go blabbing their mouth. I looked at my friend and gently pet him as we both looked at the sky. We turned when we heard someone behind us. The strange looking man was dressed in mainly red attire. He looked to be a knight of some shot or maybe a guard. Though he had a strange aura around him. It was red and danced like fire as he moved. He kept staring at me with made me quit uncomfortable to say the least.

I stud in the pale moon light as I looked at the girl and owl on her arm. She was quit different. There was something about her that made me want to get to know her. I noted after a while that she had a strange aura around her. She seemed to stare right into my soul. That girl had been one of the ones that had haunted my dreams for years. I had seen those eyes before and that face. She was more captivating in real life than she had been in the dreams. I walked over to her and gave her a warm smile. That is all I can do. I have seen her for years in my dreams I never thought she would be real. Though in my dreams she was like the fire I controlled wild and free. Yet looking at her now she looked clam and serene. I wander if she had dreams of me as well or the other one that haunted my dreams with her.

-letting her do her thing i walk through the town touching every ones mind as and making more observent about some things and less about others on my way to the witches hut to pretice my magic- "it is a beautiful night to night i wonder what tommorow will hold. - as i walk i pass by a tavern and some drunken people.- "ah losh here boys we'se got us some fun tonight!" -a weasly voice sounds behind me- " hey hey good looking howz about me and ze boys zhow you around town eh? we'se show yous a good time" -reaching out the speaker grabs me and trys to force me to move.- "sir you are drunk id suggest you let go of my arm before you find out how quickly i can sober you up." -my voice which was warm minutes ago is now frigid and cold sending shivers up a passerby's back- "heres whats we gonna do" -reaching out he pulls me against him and movesto grab my but. growling i seem to liquidfy dropping out of his arms into a crouch before i spin and plant a foot strait to the junction between his legs. straitening up i smile as he drops to his knees holding his crotch before falling face first and passed out. "heys yous cant do that to zhe boss! this one swings as he speaks and blinks in surprise when im no longer standing where his fist just landed. lightly i tap him on the shoulder before i touch him and shock him into submission. looking around for the other guy i am not surprised that he has ran away and i huff to my self- " well i guess i got in my pratice after all so then ill just wait for her to return. hopefully we dont have to search far for the guy were seeking." -turns in and begins to meditate, a position that they find me when they come in in the morning.-

I stared at the male as he moves closer to me. I am not impressed with him in the lest he has ruined my time with my friend and the shadows. I turn and gently bet my friend and watch as he heads home without me. I roll my eyes as I hear the male behind me speak. His voice sounded like thunder low though but deep. It is quite beautiful to hear if I was in the mood to lesion. I turn to catch his eye again. He looks like he knows me but I am sure I have never meet him and if I had I would remember. I stand there lost in his eyes reading everything they have to say. There is no need to read his mind his eyes tell me everything. I almost jump as his pules turn from their color to have the symbol of fire in them. The aura around him grows as the symbol shows it's self to me. He must be the one the lady spoke of. I must have looked scared because he reached out and grabbed my arm. I slipped quickly out of his grip as I turn and ran to where Myean was. Though he followed me. He scared me when he touched me I felt something it wasn't just his power. The feeling scared me not to mention I didn't want him to see my arms not till he had agreed to help Myean in her journey. Though I am not sure what her journey is. All I know is some how I am stuck in it.

"What is your Owl's name?" I ask her as I watch her. She doesn't respond to me she just turns and pets the owl then lets it go. When she does turn back to me she looks into my eyes again with those eyes that seem to know everything about me. Though her expression changes to that of a scared child as she stares at me. I reach out and try and grab her arm but my hand moves right through her. I am stun though in my dreams she did the same thing. There she is some how part shadow beautiful really yet scary. She moves from shadow to shadow with easy haunting my dreams as she leads me into the wood to find another girl that blinds me with her light. After my flashback of my dreams I run after her to find her leading me to the other girl just like in my dreams on we aren't in the forest. The white haired girl that I had been chasing runs to the other girl telling her he is the one then turns back to me and stares at me with those eyes then run off. I watch her till she runs into the inn. I hadn't meant to scar her I just wanted to get to know her and know why she had been in my dreams.

"who are you?" -my voice is curious and almost welcoming though my eyes are wary only what chell told me keeping me from completely hostile as he answers i continue to stare at him letting him fidget for a moment. "come inside it is too cold to chat out here for any length of time" turning i lead the way to my room and dim the lights allowing chell to watch unobtrusively if she wanted to. "you control fire" -said this as a statement and watches as the puzzlement of how i could know this plays across his mind- "i have a question for you. would you like to go on a quest to save the world?" -thinks- "god that still sounds corny" -instead i say- "we were looking for you, me and my friend, and would like to have you with us"

I stand in the safety of the shadow as I watch them. I keep my eyes on him as I try and figure him out. I had played with his mind before I ran. The things I saw where quit interesting though he blocked me from seeing the information he knew of myself and Meyan. He blocked me from his dream as well. He must hold those dear to him. I gasp as his eye's stare right back into mine. How did he know I was staring at him? I am really starting to dislike him. Not only can he block me from his mind but not he knows where I am even in my shadows. I am about ready to show him my fox form and my claws. He needs to be quite how dose he know such things and why am I the only one he is blabbing about me?

I stand there and lesion to the girl and smile. "I know, I have seen you and your friend both in my dreams. She had lead me to you countless times in them. You are the light I assume your power had to do with light. Your friend she is the tricky one I know she has some thing to do with shadows but I think she has than just more than that...I am Rayth and you speak the true of me. I am sorry for scaring your friend." I stop talking and let my words fade as I turn and face the corner. Those eyes I feel them watching me I know she is there. Though she says no word or makes no sound. Those eyes are watching me they send chills down my spin as I look into the shadow that is there. "Please come out and face I am sorry for trying to grab your arm earlier." You have to understand I thought I would never meet either of you in person." I turn and look at the other girl when I say that. I turn back to the corner and wait after a while I turned back to the other girl. I can tell the other is refusing to show herself to me though in my dreams we where great friends. "In my dreams we me and your friend end up saving you in the end though you save us more than we can ever repay. I hope we can be great friends as we are in my dreams. Did you know your friend can shift into animals? She is quite a sight in her fox form. Have you seen it?"

no i did not know that and as to the future... things witnessed are better left unsaid and forgotten lest they change the path on which it is written. turns to look at chell still able to see her through the shadows in my own way. smiles. very well chell please come out i wish to tell you of my journey as i know it thus far." and so i launch into my story of my past including the wisewomans vision and what she told me. after i finished i turned to look at the sky and frowned. "hmn chell can you find anyone you want to if you know what their aura looks like?"

I appear beside her my eyes closed as my arms are crossed cross my chest hidden my my clock. " Yes for the most part I haven't been wrong yet though there is a first time for every thing." I open my eyes and stare at Rayth I can't believe she blabbed out my name to him. I stared him down and rolled my eye's at him. I know that is not lady like or friendly but he isn't playing as he should either. Every one else I can read their mind but not him and why can he see me in my shadows. "Why want you let me read your mind fully? And how do you know where I am?" I shout at him growing madder the more I stare at him. "I had no chose Myean would have pulled me from my shadows sooner or later.


I smiled and stepped back a little shocked by her sudden appearance beside the other girl. "Chell...." I whispered her name as I looked at her. "So you are Chell that is a pretty name. I am glad you came out of the shadows and joined us. I am sorry for making you uncomfortable please forgive me. Ah so the name is Myean very pretty as well. You can't hid those eyes of yours Chell they see and know so much. I didn't know you where reading my mind. Thank you for telling me though I know to think careful from now own." I begin to laugh at seeing Chell acting the way she is. I have up set her a great dell and I haven't even spoke a word to her. I only stared at her. I look to Myean for help with her. Myean seems to be the only one who can clam Chell down. Though I wander if it has anything to do with them being opposing forces. I can tell Chell is going to be quit the card.

-merely lays a hand on chells arm before speaking as if sounding tired- "peace chell often the calm brook traps more then the raging river. as to you..." -turns towards rayth- she is not complaining that she can read your mind but that she cant. it makes her... nervous also i am curious. how where you able to see her in the shadows when even i cant see her excetp for her electrical system?

I close my eyes and try and clam down. I know that Myean is right you will go father if you are nicer than if you are mad. I open my eyes as I feel him stare at me again. I freeze as our eyes meet again this time I can't move from him. There is to much in his eyes to read. I feel so strange as I stare into his eyes learning things I didn't know. The information he knew is quite instresting. I had never used a weapon before but I think after this I could. I close my eyes as I return to my own mind again. My eyes flash open as I see his smile. That is what he wanted me to do. He got me again I fell right in his plam. He did know alot of things that could help Myean on her trip besides Meyean and I don't have weapons and he is quit handdy witih his sward I saw enough examples to make that concution for myself. I felt a slight smile appear on my face as I looked up at him then turned to Myean. I turned and walked back into the shadow as I emergded in my own room. I sat on the bed as I tried to figure out what had happen there. I closed my eyes as I fell asleep the room seeming to glow as my stones had making me feel at home again.

I stand there and look at Chell as I lesion to Myean. "Simple those eye's of hers give her away. I can feel them when they stare at me. I am sorry you can't see her but I can. I still don't understand may things. All I know is I have been waiting for the both of you. I know that Chell is more than she lets on just as you are Myean." I moved closer to Chell as my eyes meet hers. I feel breathless as we look into each others eyes. I feel her enter my mind this time though I hadn't felt it before. I smile as I close my eyes and let her explore my mind. I can't talk to her without angering her but maybe I could show her that I only want to be their friends and I had no wish to hut them. I open my eyes and smile at her as I see a slight smile on her face though it was short lived as she dissapeared into her shadows again.

looking not at where she dissapeared but through the wall into her room instead i frown- "its not that i cant see her in my own fashion..." -shakes my head trying to clear it of what i had seen happen between chell and rayth.- " anyways io am done for this night perhaps tommorow it will be a better day... do you have a room? if not then i will set one up for you to sleep in. tommorow we leave after visiting the sisters again."

"No I don't I have to be on duty soon though. I will meet you both here in the morning then. Good night Myean." I turn and left the inn. I reported to my post as my mind was full of the two girls I had meet. They where real and they had found me. I stud in the cold night air for hours keeping my watch I was happy that morning would be coming soon and I could find some heat. I walked around the town before my time was up.

sitting down on my bed my mask crumples as i concentrate on the problems up ahead. getting up i walk out off my room to knock on chells door."chell? you wanna talk?" waits by the door on her answer planning to take a walk if she doesnt answer
