I'm staying at a friends house for a couple of weeks, and I never realized until today, that the house is so quiet, how many clocks he has. Not digital clocks, but the other kind, analog? Whatever. They tick so loud. I hate the sound of ticking clocks. Makes me feel like time is running out or something. Like my life is being counted with every tick. I'm a little paranoid, I know lol. It's kind of stressing me out a little though o_o Anyone else hate ticking clocks?

I have several of them actually, my biggest pet peeve is when one of my shoe laces come untied. I feel like screaming every vulgarity out there known to mankind. Another that really bugs me is when I'm in traffic driving and I get stuck behind some slow poke that goes below the speed limit or rides their brakes. It kills me!!

I hate ticking clocks, they give me headaches.
My biggest pet peeve, is when I'm in the middle of something important and someone starts talking to me, and I loose all my focus! Uhg!

Oh yeah I realllly hate that. I tend to lose focus quite easily too when anyone interrupts me.

LOL, you would hate my boyfriends parents house, his father makes artistic clocks for a living, so there are usually atleast 4 clocks per room clicking at the same time. Once before a gallery sale of the clocks there were sixteen of them in the living room. I don't mind the ticking of clocks. Though there was this game I was playing called "Scratches" and it was a dark creepy house game and there was an old grandfather clock that could be heard tocking from any part of the house, it was very creepy and foreboding.

Hate clock ticking? Never! I can't sleep without it! I've had the same clock in my room my whole life! That's sixteen years!
But my biggest pet peeve would be repeatative action. Anything done more than once in a row, usually that makes noise, annoys the hell out of me. If I do it seems to be okay, but someone tapping their foot or strumming their fingers will just drive me up the wall. Oddly enough, I can listen to the same song for days on end... Huh. Never realized that until now...

I abhor the sound of clocks ticking. There's just something about them that really grates on my very being.
Pet peeve, plastic bags that many TV suppliments and posted catalogues arive in. My mom will insist on keeping the item in the bag, that is extreamly hard to negotiate. Hate it with a passion.

Biggest pet peeve? Not getting the respect one deserves. Or when someone says they will do something, they completely ignore it and go on doing what they feel like doing whenever they feel, and coming back hours later remembering they were going to do something, to realize its already done "magically" not even thanking you for doing it for them.

I don't mind clocks too much...well, actually when I'm trying to sleep that kind of noise drives me bonkers. I used to have a battery powered lucky cat on my desk, I had to take the batteries out because the sound of its bobbing paw was getting really irritating.
The first pet peeve that comes to mind for me is when people put unnatural and unnecessary commas all about the place like this;
'My favourite flavour of ice cream, is coffee.'
That I find REALLY frustrating! Learn to punctuate!

I just can't stand when I don't know where a sound is coming from. This happened last night and I was thinking, "Okay... is my laptop making that noise? No.... okay, is it on my side of the room? No..." So then I realized whatever the noise was, it was coming from my room mate's side and yeah, never did figure out what it was.

My biggest pet peeve is being told I'm doing something wrong, or getting tips without my asking. I don't mind sometimes, but generally, it just succeeds in making me upset. Its a lot worse when everyone is telling me the same thing at the same time.

Pet peeve; someone going on about doing something; ie, going to a movie. Making a big work up over it, and then dropping it at the last minute.
Especially if I'm involved in said activity.
Ugh.

It's a strange situation for me...I love analog clocks; I think that they're positively beautiful, but I get that "time is wasting" feeling too when hearing them, sometimes. I have developed the ability to tune them out, but every now and then I go bonkers and have to control myself before I find myself with a sledge hammer about to destroy the blasted ticker. I'm a good person and I have the patience of a saint, but I have the temper of the devil when I'm peeved (which happens once in every three blue moons).
One of my strangest peeves (and one of my only peeves) is that I can't stand when cabinet doors or drawers are left open. I've been told I'm graceful, but I have a tendency to run into those things at midnight when some moron leaves one open. Just seeing an open cabinet drawer with nobody getting something out of it riles me until I'm forced to close it myself. *Oye*

I can't stand it when I have no elbow room. And for some reason, I really hate the sound of my sister's cough. Not just coughing in general, only her's. I really hate when my parents have the tv volume up so loud. It carries all the the way down the hallway, to my room where my door has a big gap between it and the floor, so I can hear everything. Makes it hard to read. They need to keep it loud because they're getting old and can't hear :P

I hate it when I ask someone a question or make a comment, but it is taken out of context and the person laughs at me. It makes me feel stupid, when THEY are the ones not understanding.

I hate when people ask for advice and then don't take it. I hate being ignored. Having to clean up after people. People who refuse to at least try. People who hate you for no reason whatsoever. Spiders. Having to get angry for someone to do something. I have a lot of pet peeves. LOL.

I hate analog clocks. I guess it stems from the story my mom told me about her mom's family having a grandfather clock that didn't work/chime unless someone in the family died. I just can't even look at clocks without getting freaked out anymore.

I actually can't think of something that's like an instant pet-peeve to me. Maybe when people are unnecessarily rude; that kind of gets me riled.
But I gotta' say that reading this made me hyper aware of the clock in my living room. XD
