You can still have joy, just pretend the character went away on a long mission...It's in Naruto, that happens.

I've had favourite characters die in shows all the time, I got over it.

Death on TV doesn't bother me anymore. :V
Even my own original characters die, if I feel it's necessary.

I'm not adverse to characters dying. I'm adverse to them dying pointlessly. Like they get close to discovering some, get killed for it and then nobody knows what they knew because they failed to pass the information on before they were killed....and worse if they don't get to take any of the enemies with them. Nope, happy bubble it is.

I guess you don't get as attached to your fantasy characters as Berry and I do. I commend you for your grip on reality. Kindly don't judge or belittle me for being sentimental.

He died in 1986. D: And then he came back to life later in the series, then he died again in the Japanese extension of the series. D:

Ah, the revolving door of character death...the X-men had one of those going for a long time. *nods* I'm not against that, it keeps one guessing and allows hope to flourish.

Zero in the Mega Man series always dies, and comes back, and dies again, and then comes back.

But he finally died for good at the end of Zero 4. :V
Unless you include a "spiritual" esque for in the next series.

Zero dying tends to be the butt of jokes in the Mega Man fan community. :V
