How did your Valentines day go?

My V-day was Saturday instead of Sunday. Had a lovely dinner at Red Lobster with my fiance. The rest of Saturday was spent doing taxes and trying to find a dress for my coronation next month.

Yesterday I vegged out watching Law & Order SVU and then I went to a staff meeting. After that I spent the evening at a friends house watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which I found out I don't really like.

That sounds really nice, even more so as I love seafood (well in honesty, I tend to love most food)! Also sorry to hear your friends live in a house you don't like :(

Edit: Your coronation?! Does this mean your wedding, or something else?

Sounds yummy! Did you find a lovely dress?

No, I like the house, just not the show :lol:

The coronation is for St. Patrick's Day. It's our biggest campus celebration--we get two days off of school for it even.

I was nominated to be on the Queen's court.

Also, I don't have anything wedding-related planned until Januaryish. We're finally starting to narrow down a date. If I get accepted in to the Americorps National Civilian Corps Center program, I'll be leaving the state in February and won't be back until the following December, so the wedding has to be before then.

...it has been SO long since I got on Menewsha. I'll have to catch up on the debate forum when I get up in the morning.

Queen's court doesn't really require a whole lot. My absolutely required events are my photography (already done), the formal dinner, coronation practice, and coronation. Then there's a bunch of optional socials and the parade that I can go to, and I'll have an interview. My participation earns me points, and whoever has the most points at the end is declared the St. Pat's Queen of Love and Beauty at coronation. A few runners up are on court.

I'm out of contention for Queen since I missed the first social. The weather was awful and I live far from where it was held. I can still make it onto court though, but I have to make every event from here on out.

I'm still in the early process for NCCC. I'll be scheduling my phone screening this afternoon. If I pass the screening, I'll have a follow-up interview, and then I'll get a letter saying whether or not I make it into the program. It'll take about a month and a half to two months.
