Daeman helped him stash the bodies in the trash and clean up the blood after the battle. She was feeling just as refreshed as he was. It was always more normal to her to fight more than one opponent at once rather than just one. No one would ever know that they had just killed many people in this alley and it was going to stay that way for a while unless someone dug through the trash. Atticus whispered in her ear which sent a shiver up her spine. He then came in front of her and put his arms around her shoulder and his head against hers. She smiled immediately and looked at his eyes. "You did good too.... and... Looks like your back" She said with a little bit of happiness in her voice though it wasnt normal for him to put his arms around her and his head on hers. She took his arms and stepped back slowly. "We arnt done yet but we might want to get back to the guild before anyone suspects anything, not that it matters." She said smiling.

"Mmm," Atticus hummed in agreement, looking out to the end of the alleyway. The half-elf slowly reached for his hood, flipping it back up so it fell over his eyes. Without saying anything, the assassin stepped out onto the street and headed back toward the guild.
It was only a few minutes later when they reached the building, and Atticus glanced over his shoulder to Daeman. "Your room or mine?" he asked quietly. It sounded strange, but he did want to talk with her - or at least be in her presense for a little while longer.

Daeman flipped the hood on her cloak over her head as well. She walked with the man towards the guild that wasnt that far away. It seemed more like a pleasant walk they were having. Like one of those midnight walks. He finally glanced over her shoulder and asked her which room to go to. The question caught her by suprise. "You choose. We might run into Cain on the way to either of them anyways. He may look for a status report"

The half-elf nodded, and motioned for Daeman to follow him as he walked toward her room. He could leave when they were finished that way - he didn't want to be the one shoving his friend out the door. He opened the room's door, stepping inside and glancing back to see if Dae still followed him.
Lowing his hood, Atticus closed the door behind them. He was glad they hadn't run in to Cain - though it was possible that the guild leader was busy.
"Thank you for joining me with this mission," the assassin said, his gray eyes lingered on the woman's face. "I am relieved to have your company once more." Like old times.

((Where did I leave Cain? Hmm . .. he had just talked to Faust. Perhaps I'll have him visit . . . perhaps. ;)))

Daeman knew exactly where he was going when he nodded his head and showed her the way. They made it to her room where she walked inside after him. He closed the door on her.
"Thank you for joining me with this mission. I am relieved to have your company once more." She knew what he was getting at. It was just like old times before they split with knew partners to help train the trainees. Or at least that was her job. Cain was too busy sending Atticus on dangerous missions that made it so that he beat him afterwards. She was glad they hadnt met up with him on the way here.
"Just like old times. Besides, Its better for you if you have someone on a mission like this. Especially for what we might have to do." She said talking about taking out Darius and the others for being against Cain. She knew that atticus would know what she meant by it.

"Indeed," the half-elf said quietly, moving to sit and lean against Daeman's bed. Letting out a hum of contentment, Atticus glanced up at his old friend. "Do you enjoy what you do?" he asked suddenly, lifting his cowl back. Letting the hood fall, the assassin raised an eyebrow. "Or do you do it because it's what you're good at?"
His ash-brown hair was still held within the folds of his cloak, but Atticus didn't seem to mind at that moment. His gray eyes were too intent on Daeman. "Is there something within this position that you enjoy?"

Daeman sat on the bed. She then laid on her back to relax.
Atticus asked his question which made her jolt up and looked at him. "Cain took me from my brother and his rebellious clan. I have to say i do it because im good at it i guess.... Why do you do it?"
She tried to figure it out before he said it because he was also taken from his family and put into this world of assassins.

Atticus smiled grimly at her answer. "Because I'm good at what I do," he responded, seeing the likeness in their answers to the same question. "And because I hate him." He'd kill him someday. He'd kill Cain. It was something he dreamed of doing night after night, day after sickening day.
The assassin stood, sitting beside his friend. "I'll kill him someday," he whispered, his gray eyes locked on Daeman's gaze. The half-elf looked down at the floor then, shaking his head. "He deserves the most painful death imaginable."
Atticus sighed, glancing back up at the woman. "Can I ask you something, Dae?" He sounded . . . tense. "Would you help me kill him when I chose to do so? Or would you turn your back on the event, treat it like it never happened?"

Daeman showed no emotion for what the man was saying. She couldnt say anything at this point. They were talking about killing Cain when they were killing people against him themselves, for him. She wanted to kill him so badly. She wanted to make him pay for what her brother was calling her thanks to him. It still suprised her that after Atticus had stood up for Cain in front of Darius. "I will help" She said finally after the silence she had. The cuffs on her arms made her remember her brother. "Ill help you when you need me to"

Atticus had his usual neutral expression, and nodded when he heard Daeman's words. "Thank you," he said quietly. Slowly reaching over to the woman, he brushed her hair behind her ear. "I would have had to kill you if you'd of said otherwise." For a moment, he looked completely serious - until he smiled slightly, his gray eyes filled with laughter.
With a chuckle, the half-elf leaned forward and kissed Daeman's forehead in a surge of appreciation. There were no words for the amount of thankfulness he felt at that moment.

Daeman smiled and leaned her head down when the man pushed her hair behind her ear. She was happy that he was happy with her decision. It made her laugh a little about the fact that he said he might have to kill her for saying no. "So what now? Do we keep with the plan or do we deviate." She hoped he understood what she meant. Did they keep doing what Cain wanted or did they start to deviate in order to get a good setup for killing Cain?

"He knows I struggle with turning against Darius," the half-elf said slowly. "If Darius will let me explain, we can join them. Perhaps he will understand, and help us set Cain up."
Atticus cleared his throat, a blush spreading across his cheeks. The half-elf then moved and placed a hand on Daeman's cheek. He couldn't help but feel for this woman - she was joining him in putting her life on the line. The most dangerous man in the city would kill them if he found out about their betrayal. And he would do so painfully. Cain would make sure they lived for many years to come - under his own rod.
The assassin stroked Daeman's cheek, a slight smile on his face. He didn't mind the current company. The more he thought of their time together, the more he realized that he enjoyed having Daeman with him. Now more than ever. Do I love her?

Daeman knew this was dangerous buisiness. She knew that if they were caught betraying Cain they would either be killed painfully or become something like his slaves. Always under a rod or lash that would follow anything they did. "Dont talk so loud... Someone could hear us. Especially him if he is anywhere near the door." She said. Then she quieted down a bit more. "Alright so its a good thing that Darius and the others are the only ones left. Lets get something figured out" She was glad that she had joined him as well but hoped to god that no one was here to rat them out.

Atticus hummed in agreement, letting his gaze drift to the door. "I will speak with him," the half-elf whispered. Pulling his hand back onto the bed beside him, the assassin chuckled. What a silly thing to be thinking about - love. Assassins didn't have the heart to give to another, did they?
Slowly pushing himself away from the bed, the tall male pulled his hood back over his head.
"I'll go alone," he said in a low voice, watching Daeman's face. "And I'll be back before nightfall."
He hesitated for a moment before stepping over to the door, but did so rather quickly. Do I say goodbye? If he acted strange, things would change between them. He usually slipped out without saying anything, so he did just the same. Stepping out into the hallway, Atticus closed the door behind him and headed for Darius' room.

((Alright, so here we must wait for Veata, Darius, and William. ^_^ What are we doing with them?))

((Oooh. Heheh, I ditched poor Marsyas again. I'll have Ivy summon everyone for dinner. And yeah . . . I guess Veata's group is stuck until reply is made. ;)))

"Areyse," Selene knocked softly on the door, clasping her hands in front of her. Her green eyes were bright as she shuffled her feet, and the smell of many rich foods filtered through the large hallway. "Dinner is ready."
The woman hadn't changed - she was still wearing the (what Ivy called) "flattering" shirt and leggings. Selene didn't care for them, but was slowly adjusting. As long as she wasn't forced to wear anything that even came close to what the head of the household was wearing, she would live.
With her long wavy hair pushed back behind her shoulders, the young noble looked like she was ready to break the door down if her friend didn't come out soon. After a few seconds of waiting (only a few seconds), Selene gently opened the door, peeking inside.
"Areyse?"

Areyse had laid down and fallen asleep before he knew it... it seems he was more fatigued than he had thought. Before he laid on the bed he removed his shirt to get more comfortable and to cool off a bit since it got warm in all that armor sometimes. He was stirred from his sleep when Selene knocked on his door and he slowly sat up wondering what she wanted. His tight eight pack showed as he stood up drowsily wondering what she needed, "What is it Selene?"

((Atticus is going to see if he can find Darius after talking with Cain, so we'll see how long it takes Mythos to reply. :P I don't think Atticus knows where they're meeting, so I might have to wait a while. :XD))

Selene stammered for a few seconds, a light blush dusting her features. After starting and restarting her sentence multiple times, she finally got it out - or at least a condenced version.
"Dinner."
The red-head had stepped just inside the door so she wasn't standing out in the hallway, and her green eyes flickered over Areyse before returning to his face.
"Sorry if I woke you," she whispered, hesitating a bit before moving to stand beside his bed. Taking the dark elf's hand in hers, she stared at the contrast between black and white as their fingers entwined. "Ivy is going to flay me if you aren't downstairs in a few minutes." It seemed she had gained her voice back. "And she thought it amusing to send me instead of the maid."
Sitting on the edge of the bed, the noble smiled slightly. A spark of laughter sprung to her face, and her emerald eyes gleamed.
"I cahn always tell her you shoved me out of the room if you want more rest."

Areyse was a little confused as to why she was having trouble speaking and it actually irritated him to a degree but he was exercising patience. When she finally got the sentence out he nodded and after listening to her story and suggestion he just shook his head, "No, it's alright just give me a moment to put my undershirt on." He walked over behind the bed to where his armor was and slid on his tight crimson undershirt. It still showed off his ripped form but it was better than walking around with no shirt on. Then he turned his attention back to Selene and said, "Shall we go," as he attempted to wake himself even further.

"Yes," Selene said with a nod, catching a bit of his irritation. Her green eyes flickered with confusion, but she said nothing. Reaching over, she linked her arm with his, leaning her head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry for waking you."
Stepping out into the hallway, the young noble lookd up at Areyse's dark face, a slight apologetic smile on her face. "Ivy promised a large meal. I saw just about any kind of food I could think of."
The red-head pulled the assassin with her until they reached the dining room, which was pleasantly lit and full of various smells. Taking a deep breath, Selene tugged the dark elf over to their designated spots and forced him to sit beside her. It was then that Ivy looked up from the plate she was ordering to have served for her.
"About time," she grumbled, glaring at the couple. "Where is that good for nothing-" The woman cut herself off when Nalfien stepped into the room, raising an eyebrow in the white-haired woman's direction. "Good evening," Ivy said just loud enough for him to hear. Clearing her throat, she motioned to the food. "Eat. All of you. Then we can figure out what our next step is."
Selene waved off the serving woman that seemed intent on getting her food for her. The young woman insisted that she could get her own food - she wasn't a child. There was a few seconds of heated bickering before Selene got her way after which she happily went about and grabbed the foods she wanted.
Seating herself once more, Selene beamed a smile at Areyse.
"So she does have backbone," Ivy muttered as she took a sip of her wine. Selene glared at her, but the older woman seemed unperturbed. She merely took another drink.
Nalfien had taken a seat near Ivy, and was quietly listening as he chewed silently. Ivy then turned her brown eyes to the elf. "Do you ever make any noise?" When the male raised an eyebrow, Ivy continued. "At least say something every once in a while. Even that hair-brained mouse over there is louder than you." Selene opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the noble's tirade. "Sometimes I wonder if you can speak!"
For the next many minutes Ivy pestered Nalfied while the elf ate in silence. When he did refute what she was saying, it was in a low voice . . . and ended with the woman stuttering as she tried to find a reply.
Selene ended up laughing, and shaking her head. What a meal. Looking to Areyse, she let her green eyes scan his face. She had grown fond of him so quickly - and to think, he'd been her "enemy" merely two nights ago.

Areyse brushed off the apology as he was dragged along by Selene to their respective spots at the table to dinner. He was pleasantly surprised at all the wonderful smells that filled the room, which helped jump start his engine again as he had struggled to wake up. Now at full attention he waited until everyone else had gotten their share of food then he fixed his own plate. He couldn't' help but be amused at the spectacle that had been Selene trying to do for herself finally, it was good to see her starting to stand up for herself, even if it was only a simple matter such as fixing her own plate. Her childish like smile had earned a gentle smile back from the drow in all his entertainment. Areyse said nothing at the table as they ate but again found himself entranced at how Ivy picked at Nalfein. This had to be even more amusing than the bickering between Selene and the maid since Ivy was gaining no ground. She nagged at him until he finally left her stuttering which made Areyse burst out in laughter with Selene. She shot another smile his way and he returned it again with a soft smile of his own. This had been a thoroughly entertaining dinner so far and he was shocked at how comfortable he was around these people. He hadn't felt an attachment to many people before but these folks were alright in his book...

Ivy glared at Nalfien, turning her attention to Areyse and Selene. "So about tomorrow," she said in a dark tone. Her brown eyes were dangerous. "What are we going to do? I have sent out letters that need to be replied to, and that might take a while. What do we do against Cain in the process?"
Selene looked about to say something, but thought better of it. Unfortunately, Ivy caught her action, and forced her words out of her. "Speak up, mouse. Tell me you have something you'd like to say, yes?"
The fiery-haired woman rolled her eyes, smiling pleasantly and setting her fork down. "I was thinking of something off topic," Selene stated boldly. "But it related to someone I met in the guild." She turned her emerald eyes to Areyse. "Is there anyone else that might be willing to turn against Cain?"
