Well, since I am also a newbie....from what I can tell the more you put text in a post the more gold you get. You cannot spam, you cannot post after your own post, and it takes awhile to to accumulate gold. you get gold by posting, blogging, playing games, and um....well...meh...
Yeeeah, they have a topic you can check out under the fresh meat header....tells you all of these wonderful things....I just want gold so I am not naked anymore (okay yeah I'm in underwear but that's hardly anything lol)

Hello Joyrock! Well you can earn gold by posting and the longer your post is the more gold you get. You can also earn gold by playing the games. Snake is an easy one to get the hang of and so is Attack of the Fangirls but it lags (or it does for me). If you have any other questions I am more than willing to help. x3
