I think this is the perfect place to ask about it, and to talk about it. I didn't see anyone else talk about it, yet. <.< >.>
I play Shaiya occasionally, I played Hero online a while a go, and I sometimes play Wizard 101. I'd like to play world of warcraft, but I don't fancy myself paying for it. :P
The Mage and the priest are my favorites in these games. The elves are my favorite race. On WOW I picked a blood elf, cause they looked more elvish than the night elves. My brother had WOW for a while, and I played it. Made me wish for it more.
I am bad at pvp, so I try to avoid pvp areas.
Talk about the online games you play, say what you like about them, or what you don't like about them. Have they changed for the worse, or the better?
Do you play the free to play games, pay to play?
Do you go solo, parties, or both?
Favorite class, race, and funny moments?

Actually, Blkmage, I think this thread would be a better fit for the Computers and Video Games Forum, as that's where all our individual MMORPG threads are located. I'll go ahead and move this along. ;D

I got addicted with MMORPG's before.. The game that really got me hooked up and emptied my piggy bank was MapleStory. It's a 2d MMORPG and the characters are really cute. It looks like super mario super cute places and everything about the game makes me feel like I'm a kid again.
I rarely go solo.. I usually go with my guild and parties..
As for the class, I usually go for the fast attack class which is Assassin/Thief and for the healing class which is Priest/Cleric.
Funny Moments: Joining guild events + Taking screenshots with my guild

I have been playing Eve Online (space based game) lately. I enjoy playing with Corporations (kind of like a guild) in wars against other corps. Quite entertaining really. =3

@howdy, thank you I guess I wasn't sure after all. XD
I tend to like going solo, sometimes I need to especially if there's no people about. The bad thing about shaiya is that you have to put in your own stats when leveling. It doesn't level up for you like in Wow. I have to be careful, or she will die. D:
A funny moment I can remember when I was on a normal mode priest...
Was when I was in cornwell dungeon, we had a tank or fighter gathering the enemies. He was jumping around, running away from them, while still keeping them in range. Every time he jumped he put in one word, like Hurry...kill...these...guys!!!
I thought it was funny, I had my hands full keeping people alive. :P
I think I'll join a guild when I have the perfect stats on any class. I guess I'm compulsive like that. I've been thinking about making a battle priest. I've seen one own people in the pvp area with one. Could have been ultimate mode though.

I am playing Fiesta right now. I really enjoy it. It is a little quiet for my tastes community wise. I also tend to jump on to a game that I've been playing for about seven years now called OZ online. It has old school kinda graphics and the main thing you do is fish...but you can't really beat the community. People tend to get close while playing this game. It really holds a special place in my heart. Not to mention it is always the one thing you can do when you feel like you have run out of things you need to do online. ^_^

I got hooked playing Ragnarok Online in its early days, but I stopped because it became boring. BUT, up to now I think its the best mmorpg I've played so far, though I've not been trying out any games recently 8D
If I ever decide on trying out new games, I'd go for characters that attack fast, and dodge well, AND can go solo. I've never been fond of parties/guilds.
Funny moments - watching players fall in line and get raeped by them awesome boss-monster things... and getting raeped next. D:

My experience's pretty much the same as Yan's; was hooked on Ragnarok a few years ago and spent thousands of RL money on it. Stupid days as they're all free now, unless you want good equipment and buy them with cash. :stare:
After Ragnarok I pretty much stopped playing online games because they're so costly and I'm really not a people person. I prefer walking around on my own and killing monsters, leveling up, without having to go around people all the time. Sadly, most of the MMORPGs I've encountered all require teamwork of some degree, which I hate. So I went with browser-based MMORPGs instead. I think Adventure-whatsis was my first browser MMORPG, it was fun for a while, until I noticed how all the good stuff requires cash and if you don't buy them you'll just get your ass kicked.
That led to me joining HoboWars instead, stuck with them for about a year, before I got bored with the people there who seem to be cracking sick jokes all the time and how the good stuff always cost cash, and went back to my peaceful, solo-PC gaming. Which is mainly Age of Empires III and Oblivion, at the moment.
I always go with the agility/melee type of occupation, so in all the MMORPGs that have them choices, I'm always a thief/assassin  But I still get hit anyways and go 'OW.'
Funny moments...watching an MVP in the midst of a HUGE crowd so large that you can barely even see said MVP, getting its **** kicked by said crowd, HP numbers flying everywhere, and the ground strewn with dead bodies of dead gamers. While lying in their midst as a dead piece of meat as well. And back during the days before monster-summoning was banned in cities in Ragnarok, you could be sitting in the middle of the city peacefully one moment, and the next, a huge explosion of magic everywhere, dead bodies on the ground, and the city being stampeded by random monsters of every caliber, and people going 'WTF', 'Who the hell used those damned twigs :illgetu:' Fun days. :XD

RO is free now? 8D And yeah, sucks, the concept of buy-this-so-you-dont-suck-in-game *disgust* xD
I wouldn't mind forming parties with friends IRL or online, but then all we would ever do is chat XD
Fading~ I've also always been amused watching those filthy-rich-merchant peoples get raeped by summoned monsters in towns xD

Yeah, it's been free for a few years I think...but that's only here in Taiwan, I'm not sure about how it is in other parts of the world.
True, if I knew anyone IRL when playing MMORPGs, I'd probably spend most of my time chatting with them instead of forming a party and going monster-hunting :XD But I hate forming groups with strangers...I end up dead most of the time and we get nothing done but lose experience points.
Haha, it's quite a sight to see, all those dead people strewn across the street...and the surviving ones running around in circles with hoards of monsters chasing after them, while even more people are running after the monsters trying to attack them while they're distracted by running merchants...:XD

Hey everyone. I'm new to the site but I'm a looong time gamer lol. I used to play WoW, but now I play Allods Online (despite the cash shop fiasco). I'm big on the F2P games because, in my opinion, those are the ones that have the new ideas in them. I found alot of inte4resting concepts in some F2P. A couple others I play are Atlantica, Ether Saga, and I do play a little Guild Wars. And if anyone wants to play some Allods let me know...I wanna start a guild XD

Wow, like most of you it seems, I got started and hooked on RO, I played the pay to play version for a while. But once my subscription to play it ran out, I went and found a free to play server and have been on it ever since. In the last year though, I have been playing an MMO called Rappelz. Its similar to WoW in some ways (I'm not sure how many as i have never played WoW) but in my opinion..it has much better graphics..and its pet system is the best ive ever seen in any game. Even Pokemon..lolll My brother and his friends played in the original Beta testing for RO yearssss...and yeaarss ago...they had main gouche's that had like 15 slots..and all these pimped gears...that the GM's never took the codeing out..but they got rid of them.
