You get a phone call and rush over to R-K's place. Once you and your band mates get there you see a mess of officers and a ton of yellow tape. Walking over, more like running, you wander up to the man in charge.

He looks down at the ground and then offers you a note. It's covered in blue, but written in a purple pen - R-K's signature mark. With trembling hands, you read the note aloud to the other band mates that are standing nearby.

Before you can even begin, your heart sink. You know this can't be good....

Hey losers, it's your lead singer here.
Yeah, I know I've dropped off the face of the earth, but whatev!
I'm done. QUIT~

I can't take it anymore.
After I saw Blane die, I just couldn't take it.
I mean, he died, right there and I did nothing.
I'm a fucking stupid whore.

The police officer hands you that suicide note they found taped to your now ex-lead singer. According to the report, she had a single gunshot wound to the head. It doesn't look like a homicide, but they're going to investigate anyway.

So, now that you are your band mates are vocalist-less, what will you do? R-K was everything to e-MERGEncy and without her, you're going to lose some serious fans. If it couldn't get any worse, Blane, R-K's boyfriend and the band's drummer overdosed on cocaine. Down two members and a huge, huge, HUGE show fast approaching, what will the band do?

Well, right now, they are hosting auditions for the roles of lead singer and a drummer. But, after seeing such the tragic events play out, people are a bit skittish to join the band. I mean, would you join after a series of deaths like that? I think not!

Not only does she design clothes, but Candi is also a famous model in NYC. It's a shame that she's always at a loss for words when people interview her because this quiet model could have made millions. Nonetheless, underneath her hard exterior is a little girl that just wants to be loved.
History: She was an orphan for the longest time, that was until Mr. Fawn took her in. Mr. Fawn is currently the major of the city, and likes to keep his uniforms on her at all time. Nothing can hurt his little cookie.

On her 21st birthday she and Blane opened a florist shop, calling it R-K (Real Kool) Blane Flowers. She absolutely loves to laugh and enjoy life. R-K was never a fan of the depressing and made sure all her friends were also smiling when she entered the studio. A natural born optimist and a fun loving sweetheart, R-K could make anything happen. R-K is also a hard worker, pouring her heart and soul into everything.
History: At a young age, R-K donated her bone marrow to her dying sister. Unable to help save her, R-K dedicated her life to music - the one thing that made her sister happy. After meeting some cool people, she formed the band e-MERGEncy, referring the the last room she ever saw her sister in. When in that room as she watched her sister die, she saw something emerge from Lillian (her sister). It was her soul, smiling down at her telling her to "Never give up faith for there is light on the other side."

In her free time (what's that?) she hands with her bandmates, but she tends to spend all her time either drawing away or working. Sabrina currently holds two jobs - one at a strip club and the other at a cosplay cafe where she dresses like this. Due to this, Sabrina is an amazing multitasker is very organized. Ask her about anything, and she can spell it out to you to the most finite detail.
History: She and Lillian (R-K's deceased sister) were BFFs in their childhood. Upon Lillian's death, Sabrina changed. To make matters worse, her mother was raped one evening and then ended up contracting HIV. Unable to afford treatment, Sabrina's mother died just before her 18th birthday.

Aside from his amazing body, Aoi is also brilliant when it comes to the English language. It probably helps that his mother is a librarian and his father is a famous journalist. Nonetheless, this individual is pretty down to earth and laid back. He's not one to really care about looks, fashion, or the in norms. He strums to the beat of his own guitar. He and his girlfriend often sing duets together at local bars to make a few extra bucks (Skillet). All in all, Aoi is a true gentleman that loves his anime, manga, and SoulSilver.
History: Even though Aoi's family is stinking rich, they like to live life on the normal side. Aoi has to earn all his own money and do his best to get scholarships for college. However, once you actually get to understand the male and his behavior, you can't help but feel sorry for him. Hell, you might even fall for him too. He's clever and honest and a hard worker. He also had a son when he was 18 and he has been giving the mother to his child a cut of his paycheck.
History: Blane absolutely loves his son and would do anything for him. However, a few years back, he and his mother died in a terrible car accident. Blane was heartbroken. This was when he started cocaine. Prior to then, he only smoked cigarettes due to his abusive childhood. He was raped every night by his father and he was verbally abused by his mother each morning. When he finally met R-K, he was on his last leg. She nursed Blane back to health and began to fall for the depressed male. Accord to Blane, "R-K was the best damn thing that ever happened to me. Had we not met that one night on the streets... I'd be dead."

History: Prior to being a detective, Todd served in the Air Force. He was honorably discharged when he injured his knee in a mock war zone. However, after several surgeries, Todd is now able to run again, but he's still a bit cautious before taking off in a dead sprint after a criminal.

History: He adopted Candi from an orphan. Mr. Fawn is currently the major of the city, and likes to keep his uniforms on Candi at all time claiming 'nothing can hurt his little cookie.' He grew up with a wealthy father who sued his wife for everything she had, thus doubling their money. Mr. Fawn has lived an easy life, and if anything were to get ugly, he'd silence them with a bullet. Prior to being major, Mr. Fawn was a famous actor, which is how he's able to mask his true dark self.

Her father was always afraid that someone would try to hurt her so when she was young he had her take martial arts classes. From then on he supports everything she does.

She is very protective of people, and will not stand for bullies or ignorance.
History: Graduated from high school, Kat never felt the urge to go to college. Instead, she got a job as a waitress during the day, and a referee for underground fighting matches at night. She never got along with her father, because he was constantly drinking, and he got violent when he was drunk. Her mother died due to complications when Kat was born. The music of e-MERGENcy helped Kat out whenever she was angry or in a bind, it would calm her down so she could think straight. She was devastated when she saw on the news about the death of the two band members. However, when she heard about the try-outs, she was so excited! She was a bit shy and didn’t really want to go, but her friend at her witnessing job convinced her otherwise, and she’s now determined to get that spot.

RP posts are to be written in the past-tense.

When possible, please avoid posts that are one or two sentences long. If you honestly can't think of anything to post, then it is acceptable, but this will not be acceptable on a regular basis. Creativity is key! Please describe what your character is thinking or feeling. If you can’t do this, just mention that the character looks up and admires the smoky white clouds or something along those lines.

To avoid confusion, we use a standard set of symbols to indicate certain actions. These are to be used in this RP; there are no exceptions:

• Quotation marks ("...") are to be used to indicate speech; ex. "Hello," he said
• Italicized words are to be used to indicate self-thought or an inner conversation; ex. Wow, Fritz is really tall… I hope he doesn’t step on me!
• OOC (out of character) posts need to be placed in double parentheses (()); ex. ((OMFG I have to run! I have class in 5!))

No flaming. Ever. If you have a problem with someone on the list, settle it privately. If you cannot settle it privately, bring it to me and I will do my best to settle it for you, but only if you have tried every possible way to settle it yourself and still failed. I’m not your mother, so don’t come crying to me when things get tough or ugly. Should an issue arise that cannot be settled, I may have to remove both participants. So please, try not to fuss with one another.

Aoi walked away from the disaster scene. It was still all just a blur to him. Could R-K really be dead? I mean, just like that, could she be dead?

The male walked over to his car. Opening the door, he looked over at his passenger - Jenn. "God fucking dammit! She's dead. She's really dead." He slumped down in his chair and saw the rest of the group wander over. Aoi, was the leader whenever R-K wasn't around, and with her dead now, Aoi was going to have to step up and play a larger role.

"Okay, listen, we need to start hosting tryouts. We don't have time to mourn her death. Besides, R-K wouldn't want us too. Besides, we need to get some real facts. I mean, we all know that isn't R-K's style. She must have been murdered. But by who? Guys, it is our job to solve this case. Are you with me?"

His crimson eyes blinked up at his friends. "Come on guys, we need to do this. This isn't just for our own peace of mind, but don't you really want to know what happened? I mean... this is R-K!" His eyes looked over at the radio. Turning the key, the radio blasted on. Naturally, it was R-K singing. Aoi smiled. "I'll try and get Cassie to help Jenn and I get the auditions started. Once we have a nice line-up, we'll have them perform before an audience and the winner shall be our new lead."

He flashed them a smile. "They can't replace R-K, but... they could rise up and help make us whole again. We need to stay on top of this stuff and we need to kick ass in the up and coming show. If we can pull this off, we'll go worldwide. Hell, we can finally leave the states and show off to our Asian and European market. Wouldn't that be sick?"

Aoi's eyes shifted over to the scene again. "Tch, what is she doing here?"

"I'm terribly sorry for your loss," Angel bowed before Aoi. "If there is anything I can do, please let me know Aoi."

"Ummm, thanks?" Aoi looked from the group to Angel. "Yeah, not sure I can trust you. You do work for that thug Jak, and yeah... we know he's on good terms with Princess. So yeah... as far as I'm concerned, you're an enemy."

"Oh please, me? An enemy? Who was it that saved your ass a few weeks back? Sheez, so much for showing a little heart to heart." Angel walked away somewhat pissed. I can't believe it! I cannot believe he spoke with me! Oh! All my dreams are coming true! And, and he knows my name! Squeeeeeee!

"Tch, I can't trust anyone anymore. Guys, we're all we've got. We have to... HAVE to stick together. Let's crack this case and let's prove to the world that e-MERGEncy is still the best rock band around."

Jenn looked at Aoi, giving him a weak smile; she started to cry when he confirmed what she thought to only be lies. R-K never struk her as they type of person who would take her life, she was just so well not the suicidal type.

“Of course I am with you Aoi. Your right this isn‘t her style.” She said as she looked at him with her violet eyes, she wiped her tears away, trying to be happy just for Aoi. She reached a hand out and held his, squeezing it lightly in reassurance.

“You guys, Aoi, is right…..” her voice trailed of when she saw Angel come over to them, she turned her head away, you could say that Jenn secretly disliked the girl, after a few minutes to her self to calm down she turned back towards the girl and just smiled.

She was trying hard to be happy and positive with Aoi, but being emotional it was very hard for her, a few tears escaped from her and rolled down her face. She let go of Aoi’s hand and started to wipe them away again.

“Come on…..we have a lot to do. Since we have to get you guys a new drummer and a lead singer. We will have to edit the older flyers or just through them out and make new ones.” she said as she was thinking of other things so she wouldn’t become an emotional wreak on everyone.

She didn’t see any point of sticking around either since there wasn’t much they could do at the moment with cops crawling all over the place. Secretly she just wanted to go home and mourn the lost of a friend but Aoi was more important to her at the moment.

She wasn’t really part of the band just Aoi’s girlfriend but she was almost always with him so in a way she was part of the band. She absently ran a hand through his hair as she was lost in thought, she was thinking of something that they could do to find out more about R-K’s death, she often ran her hand through Aoi’s hair when she was really thinking hard about something.

It was late at night. The purple haired girl didnt know why it happened but she woke up suddenly and hit her head on the ceiling. She was in a loft bed after all. She looked at the clock next to her and saw that it was late, groaning.

Instead of going back to sleep, Coran got out of bed by climbing down the ladder leading up to it. She went to the kitchen and turned on the small tv that was there while she got a glass of water. The T.V. automatically turned to the news since it was on that channel anyways.

Coran turned around and spit out the water she had in her mouth when the lead reporter said that R-K from her favorite band had elegidly killed herself with a bullet to the head and a suicide note. She couldnt believe her eyes when she saw Aoi walk out of the area with his girlfriend on his arm. It was just so hard to believe. First the drummer and now R-K herself... Who knew this was going to happen? She needed to think for a few minutes.

Air had gone to be early that day like he usually did. His step sister was snickering in her room and planning to go out as usual. He didnt know why until the next morning. It was all over the news when he awoke at his usual early hour. His sister was completely hung over though she seemed to be happy. She was watching the news with the biggest smile on her face. He shook his head and went into the kitchen. He didnt feel like knowing how she had found out about the death of the lead singer of the group. It disheartened him as he flipped his bangs out of his eyes again and grabbed some food. It was still hard on him knowing that R-K was dead. He had been asked to join the band but had said no, that family came first. The people in that band were his friends and now they were dying one at a time. It broke his heart. Almost enough to make him not want to eat.

the Day After the Murder
About 7:14 AM

Aoi rolled over in his bed and saw his beautiful girlfriend beside him. He wanted a hug from her right now as he'd been up all night thinking about R-K and her 'suicide.' Shifting his weight, the male rolled off his bed and silently went into his kitchen. He pulled out a chair and, before sitting, he took a cup and filled it with an orange liquid.

He sighed and placed the cold drink aside his head. Looking over, he saw a line of liquor that decorated the sink. It was a complete mess, just as he was. Wasted, wasted beyond belief. Aoi tried to sip from the cup in his hand, but wasn't successful. Annoyed, he stood and fumbled over to the last bottle. He took it up, popped it open, and mixed it with his OJ.

Falling back into his chair, he wallowed in pity. How R-K? How could you die? Who? Who would want to kill you? A name circled in his mind - Princess, Jak, and his group of thugs. Angel. Angel might have killed his friend. But it didn't seem like her style.

Ruffling his own hair, he flipped on the TV before him. Again, the news highlighted the suicide that happened late last night. Moaning, he looked up at the ceiling. "Why R-K? Why the hell did you have to go?"

Jenn rolled over and slid closer to the side of the bed that Aoi had been on, her hand reached out to wrap around him only to find that his side of the bed was empty. She opened her eyes and looked around the room for him, only to find that he wasn’t there.

She got out of the bed, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she moved towards the kitchen to see if he was there. She smiled when she saw him sitting in his normal chair at the kitchen table, she walked over to him and hugged him from behind. “Morning, Aoi…..you want me to cook you some breakfast?” She asked him as she looked down into his eyes, she bent down enough to plant a kiss on his cheek.

She glanced up when she saw the news, all the signs of happiness left her face, as she watched what was being reported. She moved over to get her something to drink, a frown on her face, she listened silently as poured her self some OJ.

“So do you want me to make new flyers?” She asked him softly as she began to clean away the empty bottles, it was more to keep her self busy then anything else. She placed the bottles that still had liquor in them back on the shelf that they belonged on. When she was finished, she turned back around and leaned against the counter, sipping at her drink gently as she watched him.

It was three in the morning, and Kat was just getting over her shift at the fighting rallies. She was in the back changing area with the other girls - the sign girls and the extra refs and the announcer girls. There was a small TV on one of the tables, and it was tuned in to the news. R-K, the lead singer of e-MERGEncy, was dead. Kat's gray-blue eyes widened in shock. "No..."

"OMG! Isn't that your favorite band, Kat?" Asked one of the sign girls, looking from the TV to the red-head. Kat nodded, silent as she stared at the small television screen. When the news went to other things, Kat seemed to finally be able to blink, and started moving again, gathering up some stuff and putting them in her small heart with bat wings back pack. "I have to go home now." She said numbly, quickly walking out of the building, ignoring anyone's attempts to stop her. She got outside, holding her motorcycle helmet, and stratled her red ninja. Kicking it into gear, she put her helmet on and sped down the dark streets back to her crappy apartment.

Kat parked her motorcycle, took the key, put it in her back pack, and headed up the stairs to her apartment number 6, slipping her helmet off and shaking her long hair out. She got into her apartment, locking the door behind her, and setting her things down on the kitchen table. She sighed and took a shower and crawled into bed, curling up into a ball. A single tear escaped from her eye as she fell asleep.

The next day, Kat woke up, groaning and curling up into an even tighter ball. It was far too warm in her bed, and she didn't want to get up. She looked up at her alarm clock, which said 8:13. She less then two hours before her shift started at 10:00 at La Grenque's, the restaurant she worked at as a waitress.

Aoi frowned. His alcoholic OJ was gone. Standing, the male wobbled over to Jenn. "Hey babe, sorry if I woke you. I... I just couldn't sleep." He placed a gentle kiss on her nose. "And yeah, you're the artsy one. So yeah, you can make the fliers. I'll see if I can get Sabrina to go on TV with me. You know, so we can broadcast it on there. Yeah... it's gonna be a bitch to find replacements... but for now, babe, will you... sing in R-K's spot. We have a gig tonight, and... yeah... we all know your voice is amazing, so I think everyone will understand that we threw you in last min, 'kay?"

The male waltzed over to the window. "Oh, and I finally made a down payment on our dream house. You know, the one with the white picket fence you've always wanted. Yeah, we should be able to move outta this shit hole anytime now." He ruffled her hair, but stopped when he saw a familiar face looking up at him. "That effin' bitch!"

He opened the window. "What the hell do you want!" He yelled down to Angel.

The woman looked away blushing. Embarrassed and nervous, she took off running. A trail of tears streamed behind her. Aoi, why, why are you with Jenn and not me!

"Goddamn woman! She won't leave me alone. I swear, she's a stalker. Hell, I'd guess she was the one that killed R-K." He moaned and as he reached into his vibrating pocket. "Hmmmmm," he read the text from Air, "well, I guess Air is curious who killed R-K. He also claims to know this chick named Kat. He wants me to head down to La Grenque's and met her. I guess she's got one hell of a voice. So yeah, I'll be back. You want anything? If so, text it."

With that, Aoi walked out the door.

Aoi walked into the restaurant. Standing behind an elderly couple, he waited to be seated. He glanced down at his phone and saw the picture of Kat that Air had sent him. Damn. She's hot.

He folded up his phone and slid it into his pocket. Bored, he shoved his hands into his pockets and waited patiently to see whether or not Kat was there.

"Turn that damn thing off." Megan Lee-Ann Jenkins, known to a close circle as 'Electrica,' was not in a mood to be trifled with. All night and day, the only thing on TV was the news of e-MERGEncy's lead singer's suicide.

Her best friend was dead, and the leeches couldn't stop talking about it for two minutes. There would be reporters on her lawn any minute, she feared.

The TV shut off with no help from her. "E... I'm sorry." The blonde on the couch said. "I didn't know you were awake."

Megan shook her head. "Don't worry about it Shaylie. I can't stay around moping in bed forever. You want eggs?" The girl nodded and followed her into the kitchen. After a few minutes silence, Shaylie looked over at the cooking blonde.

"You don't really think that R-K killed herself, do you? I mean, because of Blane?"

Megan's hands tightened on the spatula and frying pan handle. "I most certainly do not. Eat your breakfast, Imma call Aoi and see if he still needs a drummer."

As she left the kitchen, she heard Shaylie call, "Have I told you that you're the best cousin ever?

Megan smiled. "You could stand to mention it more often!" She yelled back as she grabbed her cell phone and hit the speed dial for e-MERGEncy's guitarist.
