Cadence quickly walks into the slave shop, the third one this week. It's not his fault he's picky. He just wants something specific. Once inside, he looks around slowly for anything to catch his eye.

Viktor rather enjoyed living in the shop. Not only was he for sale, he was also a novelty--people would come and pay to take him for just a night, or even just do their business there.

As with the rest of the slaves, he was in a cell. He'd pilfered a book from his last customer and was sprawled out across his bed, shirtless, reading it.

Cadence glances around slowly and stops when he sees Viktor. He raises an eyebrow, interested. He strolls over to the cell Viktor's in, to get a better look.

Viktor notices the man outside his cell, and he grins a bit. But, he keeps his eyes on the book--a slightly dull fantasy book, but a book to read nonetheless.

He's not surprised that someone is gazing at him with interest. Because of his looks, his intelligence, and the fact that he attracted so many people to him, his price was...insane. He was one of the highest-priced slaves on this side of the country.

Cadence looks Viktor over and grins a bit. Finally someone interesting. He glances around for the shopkeeper quickly.

Viktor finally turns his eyes to him, to watch him look for the shopkeeper. He can't wait to see the look on his face when the shopkeeper tells him just how much he's worth. Buying a home in the Hamptons might even be cheaper.

The shopkeeper comes over and quietly tells him the price, also waiting for his reaction. Cadence just stares. "Yeah, and? I said I want him."

Interest washed over Viktor's features, and he sat up more, watching the exchange idly. He wouldn't mind being sold off. Usually, he would end up right back here. He was often too much to handle. Despite being highly masochistic, he was not a pushover and he had ended up fighting with all his past masters. He had ended up back here, sometimes without a refund for the buyer.

Cadence digs in his long cloak and pulls out the correct amount of money, yawning as he does so. He glances at how much he has as he does so. "Hm. I suppose I have to go back to my corner soon," he murmurs, sounding amused. He watches the shop keeper go to get the keys.

Viktor hadn't said a word, yet. Unlike the rest of the slaves, who were brought out in chains or on a leash, the timid shopkeeper simply allowed Viktor to gather up what he had in there--he'd always been forced to keep his belongings in suitcases just in case someone came to purchase him--and saunter out, chain, collar, and leash-less.

Cadence watches Viktor come out, looking him over. He stretches, waiting for Viktor to be ready.

Viktor has a suitcase in each hand, and looks smug. He meets Cadence's eyes, finally. He seems to be ready to go, for the shopkeeper closes up his cell.

As the shopkeeper does so, he turns timidly to Cadence. "I...I will give you one warning, though..." he mumbled, sounding serious. "This one...I've tried selling him before. He's ended up back here every single time. He's rebellious. I only ask that you be careful, if you plan on ordering him around somehow..."

"I can take care of myself, don't worry," Cadence tries to hold back a grin and fails. With that, he heads out to his car, glancing behind him to make sure Viktor's following.

Viktor follows him, amused by the shopkeeper's concern. As he walks out onto the sidewalk, he immediately attracts giggles and stares from a large group of girls walking by--half because he's quite attractive and half because he's still shirtless.

This seems to amuse him--seeing as a big grin breaks out across his face--but he doesn't stop. He manages to keep up with Cadence, suitcases in hand.

Cadence chuckles under his breath at the girls and reaches his car. "Pick a spot," he mutters, heading to the driver's seat.

Viktor shoves his suitcases into the back seat and sits next to Cadence in the passenger seat, still looking amused.

Cadence quickly starts the car and heads for his house.
