She nodded at John. "Alright, lets head here first." She pointed at the clothing shop. She walked out the door and turned down an alleyway and kept off of big streets making sure John was behind her the whole time. She came up to a door that was inset into a grimy brick wall. She opened that door into a darkly lit room that had a few trinkets and clothes here and there. She looked back at John and then walked over to the counter, knocking on it. After a few minutes an old lady walked out from a back room and asked what they wanted. Maggie set the paper down on the counter. "We need some clothes...for me and my... "Husband". The woman nodded and waved them to the back.

John looked at her and chuckled a little bit. He wasnt' anything close to a husband for her but he would have to play along. He then followed the women to the back and looked at all the clothing. He picked out a few things here and there that would serve him good. "this will do." he said as he looked at them.

Maggie picked a few items and went behind a curtain and changed. She put on a ladies dress with the corset and everything. She had the old lady do her hair up and then came out into the room. She never felt comfortable in dresses and corsets. They were harder to move around in. "Go ahead and change, I'll pay for these and and some extras with baggage. We are travellers after all." She paid for the items.

JOhn headed into the back and changed into good pants and a nice shirt. He then looked in the mirror and asked for some sissors. He then cut his hair a little bit so that no one would really recognize him and then came out. He smiled at Maggie, "lets go." he said with a smile and looked better now that he was in good clothing and had a hair cut.

Maggie admired John when he stepped out from behind the curtain. He looked good clean cut. She couldn't help but stare at the way the shirt layed across his chest. The haircut defined his face so well that she could see the outline of his jaw and the muscles in his neck tense and relax. She had to look away so that she could get a hold of herself. She followed him out quietly so she could regain her composure.

John walked out besides her and smiled at her. He wondered why she wasnt' saying anything but then as he walked with her he coudlnt' take his eyes off of her. She looked absolutly amazing in the dress. It showed off her curves and just looked perfect on her to the point where he had ot look away before he started to really lose himself.

Maggie looked around and cleared her throat. Mentally shaking off the nervous feeling. Now wasn't the time for this. They had to get out of the city, she could think later. "So, let's get the rest of our supplies and head down to the docks."
The rest of the supply gathering went smoothly and before she knew it they were down by the docks. "Alright, you should do the talking, since i'm supposed to be a dainty lady." She had to keep from grinning or laughing at the thought.

John chuckled at the thought of her being a dainty lady. She was anything but and he liked that about her. He then went down the dock to a bunch of men and started to talk with them. After a while John got one of them to sell him a boat. But as he talked he asked about the hanging that was suppose to be going on. "oh, I heard that the dissappeared into thin air" one said, "no, the pirates came back and busted him out." another said, "no, I heard that he tricked the guards into letting him out and is now wondering the navy base." these went on and on but John had to force himself not to laugh. He soon went to maggie and smiled at her, "got a boat." he said happly

Maggie smiled. "What are you smiling at? You look like you're going to burst out laughing." She followed after him, keeping her eyes down.

"I was just talking to the guy who sold me the boat. They say that I dissappeared into thin air, or that the pirates came back and many other ways of how they think I got out of prison." he said as he looked at her and chuckled slightly as he thought of some of the other ones.

Maggie covered her face and chuckled. She followed behind john closely. She knew that sea fairing men would love to have a good time with a woman and she didn't need to call attention to herself by gutting one of them for trying anything. "Well, parts are true. I mean, I did come back."

John smiled at her and nodded, "yes and I am glad that you did." he said as he looked at her. In truth he loved her for that since she helped him open up more. As he walked towards there new boat he saw the looks the other sailors where giving her. He couldn't help but glare and fround himself wrapping a arm around her to show that if they tryed anything he would hurt them.

Maggie started a little when she felt his arm around her. But the warmth was welcome and it spread through her quickly. She found herself tucking herself closer to him as they walked. If she did it now it would look like she was playing the part so she could get away with it without embaressment. She gave herself the luxury of feeling the muscles under his shirt move as he walked.

John smiled when he felt her tuck herself closer. She seemed to belong right there by his side and he liked it. But he had to remind himself this was all for the act. They weren't really together, they where just acting like it. That sent a twing of sadness in him since he wished it wasn't a act. He then stopped when they where infront of a boat and smiled, "well here is our boat." he said as he smiled at Maggie.

Maggie pulled away and smiled halfheartedly feeling instantly lonely away from him. "Well, now we need a small crew. What do you think? She looked around them at the men and items on the dock.

John frowned a little when she finally pulled away. He felt like he was out on a island all alone and he hated it. he wanted to put his arms around her again and keep her close. He then smiled, "that shouldn't be a problem." he said and could already pick out a few guys he could trust with in a crew.

Maggie started up the plank to the boat, turning around regally. Her blood was burning in her veins, just like it did everytime she boarded a ship after time on land. "I'll let you deal with that then. Since you ARE the man and all" She smirked playfully down at him.

John smiled at her, "okay, just get onto the boat and I will be up with our new crew in a second." he said as he smiled at her and liked the smirk on her face. Part of him wanted to kiss her but he quickly turned around and walked towards the men before he had the chance to.

Maggie watched him walk away. She could honestly say she didn't mind watching him walk away. She cocked her head to the side, admiring his butt. Not. At. All. She realized she had a funny grin on her face and she coughed, turning to get onto the boat. It was small, sturdy. It would serve them well. She felt a pang of sorrow at losing her boat. It haden't been the one she grew up on, but it was her own. Hers, not her father's but her own. Well, maybe it was time to get one that was not just her own. She got the feeling that she would have to share her position as captain. Maybe, with John, that wouldn't be so bad.

John talked to some of the men and they where all happy to come along. They all wanted to get out of here and have some fun in another town. He smiled and nodded, "good, now grab your things and get to my ship. My wife and I want to get out of here as soon as possible." The men nodded and went to work getting there stuff and heading to there boats. He went on and smiled at Maggie, "got everyone we need" he said.

Maggie snapped out of her thinking and looked at John. She smiled as he walked on talking to her. "Wonderful! I hope we can get out soon. I don't think I will be visiting here any time soon." She laughed.

John laughed a little, " I dought I will ever come back here." He said as he looked at her and smiled" I have nothing left here and my mother lives in the next town over so I dought I will cme back to this place." he said as he looked at her.

Maggie smiled. "Well, at least we're of the same mind. She nodded at the men that started boarding the ship. She bit her lip to keep from ordering them what to do.

John looked at her face when she bit her lip and coudlnt' help but think she was cute. But he knew her and chuckled a little. he then whispered into her ear, "dont worry, when we shove off you can yell at them all you like." he said to her since he knew that she wanted to yell at them.

Maggies eyes sparkled when he said that. She was just itching to get back into her proper place. She smiled at him wickedly."I'm pretty obvious aren't I? Well, be prepared!"
