There are those who will hate you for who you are, Dezik.the words of his father continued to fill his mind, not letting him get some rest. They will despise your natural flirtiness, won't want to be around you, and curse your very race. Thus is the vex of the bloodsuckers, of the vampire. Dezik sighed. He knew it was true, but one gets tired of lonely days be his or herself. The only time he ever got to do anything interesting was today by killing 5 hunters.

Why people curse you for how you eat, I'll never know.. I'm not even the blood-crazed kind of vampire.. His father had also told him there were two kinds of vampire, each based on the vampire's personality. There were the blood-crazed, which constantly wanted to feed on blood, addicted by the feeling of euphoria from feeding as though it were a drug, and those who only drank out of necessity to live. I only drank today because it was easier than trying to fight them in hand to hand combat..

Kana sighed once again. She had finally quieted her thoughts and was about asleep when she heard foot steps. At first she couldn't quite pick up on whether they were a human's or an animals, but after they got close it was obvious that it was human. Kana stayed very still, peeking out over one of her wings like she had done before. The human appeared to just be going for a nightly stroll, at least that was what their clothes and posture suggested. She watched as the human stopped for only a bit and then kept walking. He/She was headed in the direction that Dezik had gone awhile ago.

Dezik however, was asleep, completely unaware of the footsteps of the human. he had fallen to sleep in a huff, even though it was still night. He was still particularly upset that no one could understand him since he was a vampire, but he had eventually calmed down somewhat and forced himself to sleep.

Kana only noticed the gun once the moon had shone on it. This human wasn't stupid in coming out into a forest at night. He/she had at least brought protection from some sups that lived out here. She sighed and carefully climbed up the tree and started to hover over the human to make sure it didn't do any harm. The human kept walking, and soon was at the tree that Dezik was under. It turned out that the human was male. He only looked at Dezik for a bit before saying, "HEY!! Won't that tree fall on you if you keep sleeping here?" Kana watched as the human walked closer to Dezik.

"eh..?" Dezik muttered, opening one eye and looking at the human. "Nah. this tree'll never fall. What're you doin' here anyway?" he asked, raising one eyebrow. he made sure not to show his fangs to the human, sensing that he was hostile if provoked.

The human tilted his head a bit. "you can never be too safe you know. It isn't like you can predict the future." He laughed. "I just wanted to take a scroll around in the dark. Live a bit on edge, if you know what I mean." the human was smirking now. Kana didn't like the vibe she was getting from this new person. Carefully she landed on top of a tree that was behind the human, but surely Dezik would be able to see her.

Dezik did notice her, and took a bit more comfort from the fact that she was there. "On the edge, eh? Well you better be careful. There's plenty of dangerous creatures in these woods and they especially like to come out at night." he said, hoping he would just be able to scare off this bizarre human.

Kana watched as the human tilted his head the other way. She couldn't quite pick up on what he was up to just by his body language. The human stepped away from Dezik a bit, "Really now? Know where I could find any of these dangerous things? I could use a good adrenalin rush." The human took out the gun. "I'm prepared for it too." The smirk had never left his face.

"Over there." Dezik said, motioning to a werewolf that happened to be prowling about in the area. Dezik didn't really care for werewolves, so if the human decided to off him he wasn't going to complain.

The human looked where Dezik had motioned and smirked some. "thank you stranger!" The human than ran straight at the werewolf to get it's attention. Then once he had it, he began to run away shooting at the beast. Kana came down from the tree, watching the human running off into the distance. "Smart one...I hope that human ends up the one dead and not the Were."

"If he doesn't then I'll just kill him myself if I have to." dezik shrugged. "But I could tell those weren't silver bullets in his gun. he may be wise, but he's not that wise. he laughed. "Just a stupid young kid that went into the forest to get himself killed.

Kana shook her head. "it's those dang kids that you still have to be worried about. Never know when the foot steps heard isn't a kid." She turned to walk back to where she had been trying to sleep, but stopped mid-step. It was basically dawn by now, and really she didn't have much else to do. "Do you really want to hang around me that much?" She turned back to face him. Darn vampire anyway. He's probably sticking around in this area, I'll be running into him all the time if I stick around. Might as well try to get along with him.

"Hell I won't force myself on you anymore. You clearly don't want me around." he sat back down beneath his tree. "But if you insist..." he stood back up and walked over to her. "I wouldn't mind getting acquainted."

Kana promptly put her arms out in front of her. "I don't mind hanging around with you. I like this area anyway so there's no way for me not to run into here and there. But here is your limit. You can't come any closer than my arm's length, and I'd prefer if you weren't any closer than the length of one of my wings." She put her arm off to the side. The wing by that arm extended. It turned out that her wings were maybe three feet longer than her arms. "Got it?"

Dezik shrugged. "I guess you take 'don't trust a vampire' very seriously. But very well. I'll allow you your space." he said, making sure he was out of the range of her wings.

Kana shrugged some. "Anyone who doesn't take that seriously is a fool, and probably a dead one at that." She then went and sat down on the nearest rock, folding her wings back in to rest against her back. It might have been dangerous, but Kana was allowing herself to relax more as it got lighter out. "So how many vamps do you think are actually awake at this time?"

'I can't say an exact number, but quite a few. I know that much." he shrugged. 'They'll probably leave you alone if i stick around you though. but I honestly can't guarantee that. " he shrugged, stretching himself a bit.

"Ergh.. stiff rest tonight.."

Kana crossed her legs. "I guess if they do decide to come around...than I'll just have to burn them if they decide to cause any funny business." It was clear that she was hiding some kind of emotion with that of a bad girl attitude. She then started to scan the area with her eyes, "You don't think more hunters will be out here will ya? I mean you've been in this area longer than I have...surely you know about how frequent hunters come to the area."

"There used to be quite a few that came out here when I first arrived here.. as of late their numbers have been decreasing.. maybe they finally got smart and decided to leave us all alone, but I doubt that." Dezik sighed. "Hunters will always be idiots. it's one of the absolutely truths. My guess is that they're preparing for some kind of large-scale attack."

Kana looked up to the sky and sighed. "Large scale attack, eh?" She shook her head. "I may very well want to keep moving out of the area then. I doubt there's enough supernatural beings in the area to deal with a large scale attack of hunters."

"Which is why I'm glad the 5th one didn't get away, because it was likely that their group were only scouts.. If that's the case then we don't have much time before they realize their scouts are dead and come to attack us for revenge.." he sighed. "It's a shame though, I didn't really feel like walking back into open sunlight again, but we might not be able to stay here."

Kana shook her head "I'm not waiting around to find out if those five were scouts." She then crossed her arms, "you seriously need to steal a cloak of something from some human if you ever see them wearing one. At least then you'd have something to protect you more from the sun." She then got up from the rock and looked around, "So which way is the village that they're probably coming from?"

"They seem to come from the north alot, so I assume their village must be up that way." he said. "If that's the case, we should head south." He started to walk south, assuming that she would follow. " And I'll be sure to keep that in mind.."

Kana got off the rock and did follow him. She didn't believe that only going south would be a wise idea, and she surely wasn't going to keep her opinion to herself. "it would be better to go south-east or south-west. Humans love to go in straight lines, and that means if they have been coming from the north than they've been doing a straight line going south. So we could get off their normal path of travel. It might even be better to go east or west and not south at all."

'Very well. You may take the lead then. I agree with your suggestion." he said, motioning with his hands for her to take the lead.

She's annoying, but I'll live with it. Better than sitting under a tree all day.
