Kana didn't wake up once she fell asleep, though she may have wanted to. She was dreaming about hunters coming in armored cars and surrounding the tree. Up in the sky would be some of her fellow angels that she knew, but there eyes would have changed and they would be doing the bidding of the hunters. Her and Dezik would have no way to escape. She shifted quite a bit in her sleep due to this dream.

Dezik noticed her shifting alot and wondered if she was having a nightmare. As long as she doesn't fall out of the tree.. he thought, looking away for a moment.

Kana suddenly jolted awake, causing her to fall over one side of the branch. She caught herself though with her wings, closing her eyes from her wings getting cut on the bark of the branches. "Hazard of sleeping in trees." She landed on the ground, not fully awake or aware of anything.

Aaaand she falls out of the tree.Dezik thought with an inward sigh, coming out of the tree as well. "It's fine. I wasn't sleeping that well anyway.. You alright? Your wings look a bit cut up." he asked with concern, but still keeping his distance so as not to violate the wingspan rule.

Kana sat down on the ground, keeping her eyes closed. "I'll be fine in a bit." In truth her wings were killing her, some of the cuts were bad enough to draw a bit of blood but not keep bleeding. "Our wings are just....sensitive." She said, figuring that she looked in more pain than she should for just some cuts.

"Alright.. but if it starts to bother you please let me know.." Dezik said, looking her in the eye as though he was trying to read the pain she was hiding.

Kana laughed and opened her eyes to see his. Really her eyes gave off that she was probably in about as much pain as a human would feel with a broken bone. "Of course I'd let you know." She then looked away and got up, her wings not folding closer to her back yet.

Dezik raised one eyebrow and sighed. The sun was still out, so he couldn't do much.. "Go and see if you can find any wild game to take down. I'll extract some wood from this tree and we can cook a meal.."

Kana gave him a strange look. "Okay...I'm sure you'd prefer it uncooked...because If I'm wrong about vampires drinking blood from fresh kills than I'd really be surprised." It seemed that she only now noticed that her wings weren't folding to her back like she would normally like them to be. She sighed some before looking around, trying think of the best way to go for the wild game.

"I prefer it that way, yes, but I don't need to have it that way. Even blood that's old will still do." he mentioned, looking her in the eye. "If you have any proficiency with a sword, you can use mine if you want." Dezik unsheathed his blade for her to see. It was fairly lightweight and easy to handle, provided you knew how to use one.

Kana shook her head a bit. "I have my own ways, thank you." She looked at his sword for a bit before walking off into the direction she thought most approperiate to find food.

"Very well." he said, sheathing the blade and beginning to strip the tree of any wood that he could. he occasionally used his sword to cut off small branches. After a few minutes he had gathered a sizeable pile of wood to burn, and he pulled out a stick of flint from his pocket.

Kana felt like she had walked for miles by the time she found a herd of deer. They must have been scared out of the forest from the fire. Carefully she folded her wings closer to her back, though she was happy to find that they had healed for the most part. Slowly she rubbed one of the feathers towards the end of her wing. It instantly became extremely sharp and fell off. She did this a couple more times before she threw them blindly at the herd as quick and hard as she could. The feathers must have traveled a good 250 feet to the herd. She watched the herd scatter before walking over and shaking her head "Two of five hit. I've done better than that." She picked the two kills up by the antlers and started walking back to where Dezik would be.
