Xavier simply turned his head to the side as he pretended to whistle when she caught him peeking at her, it wasn't as if he was trying to stare it was just... hard not to look, to state it plainly. Now done eating the man finished up his last cup of brandy and rose from the table. Looking around the room he saw a normal sized round metal bucket in the corner with a cloth hanging off the side and walked to the corner to grab it. Then once he had it in had he walked outside and picked a thick patch of snow and began loading it into the bucket to melt for some water to clean up with. After spending a few minutes outside and dubbing it officially cold he shivered on his way in as he closed the door behind him.
Taking the bucket to the fireplace he let it sit next to it so that the snow could melt as he took off his, almost skin tight, black light armor. Undoing some of the hitches and hooks he first removed his sleeves, then the torso followed by the lower half and boots. He had the option to not wear the sleeves but it was too cold up here to leave them in his pack or at a campsite. Normally a person would probably feel like a great weight had been lifted from them after removing their armor, even typical light armor, but that wasn't the case with Xavier. His armor was of a special design, he had crafted himself, so that his body was fully covered and protected while allowing the maximum flexibility for him to preform his duties, he liked to call it his phantom armor because although he could clearly see it, it was like it wasn't ever really there.
It really took alot longer to take the armor off than it did to put on today for some reason, maybe it was because the latches were stiff from the cold, but either way it was time to scrub them. Getting up slowly, since his body was finally officially slowing down after the dinner, with the wash cloth in hand he walked over to the bucket and silently brought it back to his corner and immediately dipped the cloth and began scrubbing the armor. As he scrubbed Chryll's words ran through his head and he murmured, "Family huh?"
There was no family left for him and it wasn't a subject he was keen on speaking about. His past was one full of bloodshed and his future would apparently be no different, with the exception of a different cause...
