Niome started to fight against him. "I can't!" She started to say to him. Everytime she fought it seemed to get stronger. Pulling her under. But still she would not go down without a fight. "I have children to teach. Please, you can not do this!"

"You will know my suffering" The figure said. He turned his attention back to Katrina.

"The hell..." Addessea whispered, not sure of what she was seeing.

Jake woke up from the slam and looked around, he saw Niome being dragged underground "oh no you do" he growled as he ran up behind the figure and punched the back of his head "let the women go and fight me you coward!"

The figure turned around. He smacked Jake away with the back of his hand.

This was her chance. Katrina began to free Niome from the roots. She finally made it through. "Come on lets get out of her while he is distracted" she whispered to her teacher. As she helped her off the ground.

Niome stood up. Unwrapping the now broken roots from her wrists and ankles. "Lets go." Niome said to Katrina as she was helped from the ground. Standing up Niome was soaked in the swamp's water. Quickly she took Katrina by the and and started to run. Though they could not just leave Jake.

Jake got back up and stagered a bit "it will take more then that mummy man" he said as he saw the other two running "i have to distract him for a bit longer" he thought and he picked up a stone and chucked it at Jacob (aka the figure)

"Lets go find him some help" she suggested to Niome as they ran out of the swamp. Katrina still had tears streaming down her face. She didn't want to die. "Why is this monster thing attacking peopl?" She asked confused. Katrina was not from around here. She only lived her for 3 years now.

The rock hit the figure, but just bounced off. He grabbed Jake by the head with both hands and lifted him up into the air.

Jake felt some pressure "i have told you to many times, im not dying!" he yelled and kicked him in the face repetedly

The figure finaly let go. He did punch Jake in the face, breaking his nose.

Jake felt his nose break and he held it and then glared at Jacob "come on, a bit longer, you can do it Jake" he thought "so Jacob... you want to play it the un-even way, sure you may be stronger, but how fast are you?"

"Don't toy with me!" The figure took out his chain, and started to whip Jake with it.

Jake could feel his energy being beaten out of him "i need... to get out... of here" he started to run as fast as he could towards the way the other ran

Katrina could no longer take it anymore. She turned around and ran the other direction. She couldn't leave him there alone like that. Katrina grabbed her knife and ran towards the swamp. She found the monster and saw him beating the guy that had just helped them. She was still in tears but she didn't care how scared she was. She took her knife and threw it at the monster. She knew it wouldn't kill him but enough to distract him. The knife hit him in the head and she grabbed the guys hand and pulled him up and they began to run away.

The figure removed the knife from his head. He gave chase. He would not loose those who needed to be punished.

Katrina knew he would follow. So she took a short cut through the woods. She thought that this would surely slow him down so they could escape

Jake was coughing up bits of blood every now and again "dam he is strong..." he looked at the girl who had helped "...thank you"

The figure would spot them and throw his chain at them. The spike struck tree's, causing them to splinter.

Jake looked at the guy "its no use, hes not going to stop following... unless we get out of the swamp" he looked towards the way they where running "we just have to keep going"

The figure would not stop following them. He would pursue them for all eternity if need be.

Jake thought "hmmmmmmmmmm... mabey" he looked in his pockets and pulled out a pistol "i always carried this just to be on the safe side" he turned and shot the guy 5 times then turned and continued to run

Katrina was glad she was not alone anymore. She wasn't crying as much now. She was just trying to focus on getting out of here. "We need to get out of here." she said. "we should evacuate the city. They need to get out of here otherwise he is just going to kill us off one by one." She said looking back to see that this monster was still chasing them. 'what is it he wants from us? I am not even a full citizen here. I only moved here a few years ago." She said trying to figure out what it was it wanted.

Jake looked at her "he said his name was Jacob something and he wanted to kill us for something our ansetors did, but that seems a bit unfair" he looked back at Jacob "why not kill them... why us?"
