True, although I don't think we've decided on Harry's age.
I suppose, as Harry, that's more your job? I just don't think I want him very underage, so anything else is acceptable and Sevvie's age will be based on that of course. :3

Ah, I think we decided 16, as he'd be in his sixth year. That means more Hogwarts time. (: I suppose we will make it so that a romance between them is against Hogwarts rules, yes?

(Hey you. I have a post. I just have to post it. XD)

Harry wanders through the halls of Hogwarts quietly, not ready to go to bed. He, at this point in time, is a sixth year there, and captain of the Quidditch team. He, though he'd never admit it, is in love with one of the teachers there. And this teacher despises Harry. Or so Harry thinks. He sighs, absently heading to the potions class room. He wanders past i and sees the light's still on. He frowns, stopping. 'Could someone be trying to cheat, or is Professor Snape still there?"

((Ah, I see!!))

Severus is not, in fact, in the Potions classroom. He is, as usual, walking--or, to be truthful, stalking--around the school, looking for miscreants. "Like Potter," he thinks, then hastily tries to stop that train of thought. Thinking about Potter these days is quite odd, and Severus does not understand the reason for that. He looks up and realizes that during his rumination, he has nearly reached his classroom. He doesn't look at it, yet, since he recalls using a simple warding spell that would block most students from entering. Instead, he quickly searches the area before continuing along. His mind flicks back to Ha--Potter, and he stops paying attention to his walk long enough to bump into someone--as in, literally bump into the person.

He looks up, annoyed, and what does he see but the bright green eyes of his...his...least favourite student, Ha--Potter! "His name is POTTER!" he yells in his mind, then briefly wonders if mentally yelling at oneself is an early sign of insanity. In any event, he remembers it's after curfew, and thus says, with a sneer, "What, pray tell, are you doing out of bed, Potter?"

Harry stumbles back as he's run into by none other than the teacher he thought was in the room. "I forgot my book in your room, so I was hoping you'd be around so I could get it." His face is a tad pink, due to Snape running into him, but he hopes he's believable. He watches Snape, still curious about the light being on if Snape's standing in front of him.

(Oh god. I just thought of the most amusing thing.)

((WHATWHATWHAT?? AMUSING THINGS AMUSE ME!))

"Potter, it is after curfew! It does not matter what pitiful excuse you use, you are still not supposed to be walking the halls at this hour!" Severus says in what he hopes is a terror-inspiring voice. To be honest, he can't be certain about that around Potter. He looks, finally, at his classroom. The light is still on. He looks at Potter, carrying nothing but his wand. "Potter," he says slowly, knowing that out of everyone at the school, Harry Potter had the best chance of thwarting his wards as if they were erected by a two-year-old "did you walk into my classroom, acquire your book, and merely forget to dim the light?"

If Potter didn't do all that, it meant someone else was in Severus's classroom, and while he often enjoyed catching misbehaved students, potions, whether by mistake or intentionally, could lead to serious damage. Severus truly did not care to be involved with anything that provoked such consequences, so he hoped he could just punish Potter for another misdemeanor.

(Picture Harry thinking Snape's a hologram and poking him. XD Then think of Snape's reaction. Snape: -stares- Don't poke me.)

Harry blinks at Snape. "No, I didn't. I thought you were in there. Which you're obviously not, unless you're a hologram." He looks slightly amused at that. He watches Snape's reaction to his comment, knowing he's going to pay for being 'insubordinate'. He doesn't seem to be afraid of that though.

(LULZ. Harry smiles at how cute Snape looks when he stares. *POKE* Snape: "Do NOT place your finger upon my person and press down!" Harry: "Aww you're so cute with your big words..." *POKE*)

"Obviously, Potter," Severus drawls, wondering how Potter knows of such things as holography. Ah, right, he was raised in the Muggle world as well. He wonders, briefly, if Potter watches many science fiction movies. He recalls a snatch of a memory from the dreadful, failed Occlumency lessons, of Harry hiding behind a sofa to watch the telly. "Well, most likely not, then," he thinks. He wonders, for a moment, why he is even letting his mind go down this train of thought, as he does not even particularly like science fiction OR Potter, but remembers the boy--young man, really--in question is standing in front of him.

"A point from Gryffindor, for insubordination," he smirks, then frowns again, wondering why in the world he took exactly ONE point for such misbehavior. "Correcting it," he thinks, forcing his face to appear perfectly neutral, "will show that I made an error." He looks at Potter, who before had a terribly nonchalant look on his face, as if he didn't care whether Severus took a hundred points. Well, Severus didn't show him. Damn boy.

Anyway, he decides, there are bigger problems to deal with, such as finding out the reason for the lights being on in his classroom...

(We both know Snape would rather Harry place a...different thing upon his person and press down. XD)

Harry looks confused as to why Severus only took away one point. "Only one point, Professor?" Harry then mentally kicks himself. 'Good one, Potter. Make him take more away. Ron'll kick you for that later,' he thinks dully. He then watches Snape stare at him, going slightly red. "S-something wrong, Professor?" He forces himself not to roll his eyes at his voice cracking.

((Oh yessss. Well, maybe not yet, but he's headed down that path. "Damn the boy" ;D... Unrelated, BLAH 'cause I'm going thru a proxy and it randomly reloaded so I had to redo my post. D: Hope it's as good as the first time. xDDD))

"Why in all Hell would the boy want more points taken?" Snape asks himself, but refrains from answering Potter's question. He can not explain to himself why he did that, much less to Potter, and to brush it off with a form of "because I said so" would diminish his authority by allowing Potter to think he'd gone soft. "Damn the boy," he thinks, realizing he has been staring at Potter and feeling his face heat slightly; such a feeling is quite foreign to the man with extremely well-controlled emotions. This skill is, of course, imperative as a spy, and Severus would usually take pride in his control. Not around Potter, apparently, though. "Damn the boy," he thinks again, frowning.

Hearing Potter's question ("S-something wrong, Professor?") snaps Severus back to reality. He forces himself not to smirk, hearing the boy's voice crack.

"Yes, Potter, there is something wrong," he sneers faintly. "There is someone in my classroom, and it cannot be you or I. That being said, it must be someone else, and if someone is tampering with supplies or making a potion without proper supervision and technique, it could spell imminent disaster!" he attempts to keep his voice level and stop it from reflecting the feeling of dread.

"Then shouldn't you go check it out, rather than standing here talking to me about it? We don't want the school to burn to the ground..." Harry tilts his head at his professor, seeming puzzled by the man. 'He's acting odd...,' he thinks to himself.

"Do not tell me what to do!" Severus whispers, extremely annoyed at the boy--young man--it doesn't matter. In any event, of course he is going to go assess the situation.

"Yes, Potter, I do intend to "check it out", but unlike you, I do not rush headfirst into danger," he explains, in a slightly mocking tone. He walks to the door, checking to see if the wards are intact. They aren't, which means that there is definitely someone in there, but the person is not intelligent enough to put up new wards.

"Well," he thinks, "this won't be too much of a threat, really, but just to be safe..."
"Potter!" he says, quietly but urgently. "Can you open this door? I will stand outside the line of view and stun the person in there." It isn't as if Severus thinks it will be dangerous, but since Potter is standing here, why not utilize his abilities?
