Are you from
Australia?
If so,
Come hang out with other people in your timezone.
Meet other people who might live near you.
Talk to people who know what "vegemite" and "drop bears" are.

Yes I can agree there Zeapear - and none of the adverts seem to be saying "This is what we're going to do for you." Instead it's "This is why you shouldn't vote for the other person". It's like we're trying to decide who's not the worst to vote for, instead of who's best. I say - vote in the greens. :P

At you post about the election; I'm too young to vote so I haven't been paying much attention but I agree with you there, everyone's just picking on everyone else

I wish voting wasn't compulsory. I mean this election is completely ridiculous - after Labor getting rid of Rudd like that... LOL

I don't know much about politics, at least I don't know enough to be a good judge of these things, but I thought Kevin Rudd was nice :D

Hrm...the upcoming election eh? Well...I get the feeling that the major political parties are trying to tell us why NOT to vote for the other party rather than why we should vote for them. Of course there's more to it than that but that's all I'll say on the topic.
I'm amused that drop bears are mentioned on the first post...because I didn't know what drop bears were until later in my life. And considering I've lived here my whole life I'd imagine a lot of Australians, especially those who immigrated here would actually not be aware of them either.

I can't really think of any Australian celebrities I'm very fond of, because usually, I don't really care who they are but what they do. In saying that, I'd mention Jessica Mauboy, because I like most of her original songs and she seems like a more likable person in general.
