Name of Character: Isaac Sullivan
Age: Nineteen

Personality: Isaac is a very jokey kind of guy, and never would want to hurt anybody. Knowing the secrets and what happens on the island frightens him, and saddens him too, but he has a reason to shut his mouth. They have his sister, Maggie, who suffers from schizophrenia, and they are dying to get their hands on her. See, the thing is, he managed to make a deal. He works for them but they don't pay him, he only gets the food there, a place to stay, and some free time, and they won't touch her. But he so much as makes and attempt to escape, they'll bring her to the Lighthouse, or more like, the Lifehouse.
Biography: Isaac and Maggie were born fine, the thing is, their parents ran the asylum, before they decided to sell it to someone else, a madman in Isaac's eyes, and they were 'mysteriously' killed. Now Isaac is prisoner there, not to mention Maggie too, who is actually behind bars. She was born with schizophrenia, and now has to face the consequences. Isaac had no chance to study in College, as soon as he left school, he had to work for them, and he now leads a miserable life, certain there's no hope left. He can't face escaping and getting caught, he can be a pessimist, and will imagine the worst things.

Name of Character: Jeffrey Kay
Age: 25
Sexuality: Secretly, gay, but he flirts with other women.
Job: Owner
Personality: Jeff is spoilt and stuck up, but he is generally a nice person. Whilst he can be rude, or impolite, he does strike a nice conversation, besides his blunt comments. He often says what he thinks, seeing as he doesn't have much to lose. You will constantly see Jeff watching other men, whilst Kay on the other hand, adores putting his hand under woman's skirts, especially the nurses'. Kay ultimately thinks his parents were horrible to him, and makes up his past in his mind, thinking he was abbused both physically and sexually, and though its not true, he seems to think it is. So he does the same to his friends and patients, only really trusting his co-owner.
Biography: Jeffrey was a spoilt filthy rich brat when he was younger, and once he bought the asylum, he wanted to make sure everyone was cured there. He was a nice guy when he got it, but living there takes a toll on you, especially when you're surrounded by mad people. Eventually he started having dreams, and got slightly paranoid, and has acquired another identity. Jeffrey doesn't know of his multiple identities disorder, and some mornings he'll wake up as himself, and others he'll wake up as another character, which likes to be called Kay instead of Jeff. Kay knows deep down that he is only a figment of Jeff's imagination, and is smart enough not to leave things in places Jeff can find easily, and will avoid questions from people so Jeff can answer what he thinks is the truth.
Appearance: Jeff/Kay - has blond hair and brown eyes.

Name of Character: Xiomara Crystal
Age: Twenty one
Sexuality: Bi-sexual
Job: US Marchall's partner.
Personality: Xia is quiet and intelligent. She's a great partner, and she works well with Alicia, usually not having to say anything to have Allicia understand her, or vice versa. She's fun, she's optimistic, and she's a puzzle lover. She absolutely adores mysteries, and decided to accompany Allicia on this journey. On the downside, she can be a little sensitive, and will throw a fit if she's hurt. She is also a little too suspicious about everything, but I guess that's good here, opposite of gullible. She has imagination too.
Biography: Xia and Alicia have been childhood friends, and she actually knew Malena... before she passed away. She quite liked the sister, and was also broken hearted when the girl died. Accompanying Alicia on this is something she wanted to do for personal reasons as well, and she loves Alicia to bits, as a best friend. Her parents are still alive, old, but alive, and are at a retirement home.

Anything else: Hates smoking or drinking really.

Name of Character: Alicia Alexandra Becket
Age: 24
Sexuality: Hetero
Job: US Marshall
Personality: Alicia is kind of standoffish when you first meet her, but she's not a bad person. Cautious and mistrusting, she believes in the law and will do whatever it takes to see that it is fulfilled. She's extremely loyal to her partners, and can come off as a "big sister" type when you get close enough to her.
Biography: Alicia was born and raised in the Bronx, a tough, street smart girl. She had a younger sister named Malena growing up; due to an abusive childhood that both girls suffered, Malena eventually went insane and was sent to Shutter Island. Alicia swore that she would never let her past break her, and has become a rather successful US Marshall.
She's been given news that her sister has died recently, but she doesn't buy it for a second. She's worked her ass off to get the assignment to Shutter Island, and she's not going to give up until she finds out what happened to Malena.
Appearance: Eat your heart out
Anything else: She's hardcore against smoking.

Personality: A true (*cough* Please excuse the language) bad ass when it comes to being friendly. Dark comes off as rude, and his brash personality just lends itself to being a troublemaker. Always one to accept challenges, Matt jumps into aggression faster than most, and into life and death situations more often than not. Loyal to no one in particular except whoever pays his fare, he does his best at helping where it is needed . . . as long as he’s getting the credit.
Biography: Despite his rather rough personality, Dark has managed to come along quite well with blood and wounds – though instead of creating them, he fixes those who need it. After studying through high school and finding his way into higher ranks, he joined the military for some on-action experience. For two years he worked around others, seeing trauma and its effects on others . . . and he learned how to inflict wounds that wouldn’t heal easily.
After returning home from his military action, Matt was recruited for some other assignment of sorts – it was something about an island. Seeing as he hated his family and wanted to move away from them as soon as possible, Dark accepted readily, especially hearing that they would pay his fare.
He didn’t know what he was getting into.
Appearance: Matt has brown eyes and a blue-tinted black hair color.
Anything else: Heh, just to get some characters riled: he smokes (:XD) and he listens to heavy rock and metal music.

Name of Character: Marla Keys
Age: 23

Job: Guard Personnel
Personality: Usually a loud and fun-going woman, Marla was in trouble one too many times with the authorities. Sometimes comes off as quiet and disrespectful, but is really just trying to seem “normal.” Submissive to pretty much anyone, she is easily spooked, and tends to lean toward being a frightful person.
Biography: It was her brother that finally decided to put in a note about her mental fits when she hit 20 – she was going through visions and everything, though the drugs might have been helping with that. After going through a breakdown, she was hauled off by a company to get “help.” For three years she’s been going through treatment, making her way to the “better” list.
Though she’s been mostly “cured,” Marla refuses to speak of the night terrors she experiences, and occasionally goes through visions and other strange side effects of her “medication.” She has recently been hired on as a guard for Shutter Island until she is “ready to go home.”
Appearance: Marla has blue eyes and black hair.
Anything else: She absolutely adores animals, and wants to have a kitten of her own when she gets back home. Talks about going home as though she’s leaving that week or something, despite the fact that she most likely won’t be for . . . a long while, if ever.

Personality: Cornelius has always been a brilliant kid with a few set backs. He has a hard time grasping things that cannot be explain literally. He can be socially awkward, but tends to clings to people he trusts, and seeks their approval. He views things a logical sense. He doesn't like lying. He can be often times naive, though very rarely to people he doesn't trust. Because he can be very critical, people who don't know him well, tend to miss that he is actually very sweet.
Biography: Growing up was very difficult for him, his parent's were always forcing him into social situation, generally among the wrong crowd. Perhaps they did love him, but they were also very embarrassed of him, especially when they found out that he was tainted. Cornelius suffered from a mental disorder known as Asperger's syndrome. It wasn't the worse things, but his parents became obsessed with fixing him. Finally it got to a point where he was to much of an oddity for them, and they realized that they were the wrong type of parent to be raising him, so they gave him to his father's sister, and her husband. They couldn't have children, so they were more than happy.

From age nine on, his life became somewhat better, he was loved for who he was, and got whatever he needed. He ended up graduating high school when he was fourteen. During his college days he majored in Applied mathematics and minored in Sociology. His skills placed him in many local investigations that he helped solve, and not long after his eighteenth birthday, he was recruited into the FBI. Whether his stay is permanent or temporary is still up for debate.
Appearance: Unusual
Anything else: Records years in a notebook, the significance is unclear.

Name of Character: Thomas "Tomo" Stewart

Sexuality: Unknown. Think of Tomo as Hamtaro- the really naive kid who doesn't understand the difference between like and like like.
Job: Co-owner.
Personality: Despite being in his twenties, Tomo is much like a naive child when it concerns human emotions. Generally he is smiling and he has a twisted view of right and wrong. Also, he's easily manipulated and believes anything anyone tells him, more or less.
Biography: Deep in the woods was a small house commonly forgotten by the public where a small family of three lived privately. Tomo, the only child of the Stewart's, commonly ventured out and explored the surrounding woods out of curiosity and because his parents rarely wanted him home. It wasn't until he was seventeen that he finally found out why.

He was exploring around with a couple friends he managed to make over the years when he stumbled upon large lumps in the ground he had never seen before. To cut the story short, he found out his parents had been killing people for years and buried them a ways behind the house where they thought their son didn't venture too. If founding the dirt mounds wasn't traumatizing enough for him, finding his mother dead beneath the first mound was. He managed to kick enough dirt off of it when he tripped over it that her face was revealed; his father was never the best digger.

Well, push came to shove and he ended up here and hasn't spoken to any of his friends since.
Appearance:The guy. Usually there's some sort of green streaks of some sort, but he hasn't dyed it for some time now. His eyes are purple, believe it or not.
Anything else: The only way anyone would know about what happened with his parents is through newspapers and articles, since he's never actually brought it up. He probably has plenty of mental disorders, but he has never been tested. And, due to losing his mother, he has gained many "mommy" issues and instantly gets attached to anyone who remotely shows kindness to him. He's very submissive and tries his best to please others, especially Jeffrey, whom he views as a close friend of his.

Personality: If you need to get a job done then Nami is the one you call for. She doesn't care if it involves lying or sneaking, she'll do it if it benefits her. Sometimes she comes off as cold-hearted and, truthfully, she usually is. What she cares for in life is limited to her job, her cat, and her gun.
Biography: Nothing truly terrible occurred in Nami's childhood that is worth mentioning, to be quite frank. Her parents divorced when she was twelve, but they continued to live together as friends so she had no issues concerning whom she was to live with. It wasn't until she turned eighteen that her eyes were opened up to a new perspective of life. Sure, she knew there were bad people, but it wasn't until then that she realized that the villain could truly be anyone.

She was with dear Thomas Stewart when he stumbled upon his mother's dead body and the dirt mounds the hid the other corpses beneath them. Alongside another one of their friends, she watched in horror as Tomo sat on his knees and stared down at her dead body in disbelief. To this day she believes he never accepted she died and that he had managed to convince himself she was still alive; the carcass before him was someone else. Nami never thought that all those years she had been so close to a serial killer and so close to a graveyard when she played in the woods with her companions.

When she was just a child she longed to be in law enforcement and the whole ordeal only enhanced her desire. Nami wasn't shocked when Tomo left the city, but was a bit surprised that he never contacted either of his friends.
Appearance:The girl. Generally Nami is seen in her dark blue jeans and dark shirt to move around in easier with her hair tied up on a bun upon her head to prevent the bad guys from grabbing at it.
Anything else: She spits a lot, has a bad habit of smoking, cusses like a sailor, and has a wonderful talent of knowing exactly what to say to get on someone's nerves.
