Amara clutched her cloak closer around her body keeping it from flapping in the wind. She moved quickly and silently around buildings until she finally reached the outskirts of the human town. It was funny really, she was on her way to meet another of their small group just outside of a human town when a war against them and her people had been going on for years. Silently she mused at the thought of she, a elf, getting caught in a human town trying to set a plan for peace.

She had been hiding in the town for a few weeks now, sending messages between people of their small group, secretly devising a plan to stop the war. The only crazy part of the whole thing was she had only met two members so far and now she was about to meet her third. Though this one would be different then the others. This one that she had been sent to meet was the one she would be traveling with to the elfin capital.

She had never thought she would be dragged this far into this crazy idea. She had been pulled into the prospect of stopping the war, now she was being sent to the capital! To make sure a message was sent of all things.

She dragged her mind out of dark thoughts once she reached the place that had been agreed upon. She loosened the small pack that hung from her shoulder as she waited quietly.

Aurora scanned over the outpost of the town, straining her eyes in the dark. " I dunno Oblivious" She mumbled quietly to her over grown kitty, " This is dangerous territory" Her eyes settling on some rather large drunken men outside the nearby tavern, hollering and reaching out for the clearly annoyed bar maid. "I think I'll stay up here in the tree with you until I see her approaching." She finally concluded, she was safe in her tree top post and had a clear view of the decided meeting place.
After a few moments, she saw a clocked figure hurrying just in the shadows of the buildings. Aurora was about to jump down immediately, but then scolded herself for foolishly rushing into things. After all it could be an enemy that had learned of her plans. But after the figure settled in she warned the panther cub to stay safe in the trees and climbed down. She approached carefully with her hand on the hilt of her small dagger at her waist, her cloak clasped tightly to hide her ears. "Peace and goodwill to you my friend" She said nonchalantly waiting for a positive reply before she let down her guard

“good evening” Amara replied and she inclined her head slowly. This must be whom she was to meet, though she looked on edge which she supposed was smart considering there whereabouts. Nonchalantly Amara removed her hood fully exposing her delicately pointed ears. She knew if this was whom she thought it was that this would be a sign of safety if it wasn’t the one she was to meet then she would just have to silence her until she was able to escape.

Rain lifted her head to let her face show from under her cloaks hood. Her piercing lavender eyes softened in relief. She smiled as she grasped her new companions hand and pulled her close to her, making her way back to her tree. "Greetings, greetings" She chattered excitedly, "I am Aurora Rain, but everyone calls me Rain for short, and this:" She motions up to the black panther in the tree, sleeping soundly. "Is Oblivious" she said with a sigh, "I used to think she would be good protection, now it seems she just more of tag a long. So I believe I am to fallow you to the capital yes?"

She was surprised when the female elf took her hand and tugged her along but she decided not to say anything as she let herself be pulled along. Amara smiled at her greeting it wasn’t everyday she got to meet someone that was friendly and she found that she rather like it perhaps that was why they had chosen her. Once they had stopped Amara glanced up and warily eyed the panther that lay sleeping above them. She had never actually seen a panther up close before and she was pretty sure she wouldn’t be seeing anymore so she examined him closely.

Her eyes drew back down to look at Aurora she felt a little uneasy with such a large predator traveling with them but she supposed that it was batter to have him then to not. “Greetings” Amara said warmly though to be honest she wasn’t used to being so friendly with a stranger perhaps it was her aura? “Yep I’m to get us there safe and sound”

She said as she readjusted her bow and small pack. She was no fool she knew why she had been sent to the capital. It was to make sure Aurora and their message got their safely though it would have been nice if they had told her she would have been responsible for an 160 pound cat. “My names Amara” she said as she shifted her gaze back to Aurora. “we can be off now if your ready? We should probably get a mile or so in before we set up a camp” Amara said thinking to herself as she looked up at the night sky.

It was already past sunset but they had to get at least a mile away from the town to really be safe. Which meant little sleep for tonight but it would be worth it in the long run.

"Oh yes I'm all set and ready" She replied eagerly, "I will be happy to be away from these drunken fools" Aurora called out a trill and the large cat slowly lifted her head and yawned before making it way down the tree. Aurora did a quick check in her bag to make sure that she had all her belongs and began to fallow close behind Amara. She was barely tired and could easily do the mile and offered to take first watch when they reached a safe resting point. The cat fallowed along in a playful manner trotting along and taking little swipes and pounces at her guides cloaks and bugs along the path. It becomes more and more obvious that the panther while seems full grown still behaves very much like a kitty and is for more domesticated then expected.

Amara waited for Aurora to check her supplies before she started moving eastward with the two in tow. “Alright then well have to avoid most of the human towns” Amara tipped her head up in thought.

“there is at least four that we will have to skirt around so we’ll probably be traveling for a good two weeks” she said turning her head to look at Aurora. Though her eyes traveled to the large panther and she couldn’t help the smile that spread across her lips. He looked like a giant kitten. She shook her head slightly in disbelief before turning her head back to the forefront.

“if were lucky we wont run into anyone” she finally continued. “though it would probably be best if we hide our ears when we are around the human settlements. By any chance are you an illusionist?”

Aurora checked to make sure her hood was still tightly drawn to her faces, they hadn't been traveling for long and there easily could be hunters out in the woods still.
"No" She answered in a sullen tone. "I wish I could perform magic like that. In my home town there's a women who does shows for the children. Her bright fireworks and colorful tricks always brought such joy to our town. That was of course before all the fighting started...." Her voice trailed off as her mind drifted to her mission. The fighting must end, and she was the one they had chosen to carry the treaty. This was such an important document she wished she had a safer place to keep it, other then the secret pocket on her robe. She traced her fingers over the insignia on the wax seal, reassuring herself it hadn't slipped out in there haste. "What about you? Where is it like where your from?" She asked more to draw her mind away from such gloomy thoughts.

Drat that meant that things were only going to be rougher. Ah well nothing could be done about it. Silently she cursed her own inability to create illusions. Turning her head slightly to the site to show she was listening yet keeping her eyes forward as she listened to Aurora talk.

“Me?” she asked slightly surprised. “oh, well” Amara turned her head slightly up in thought and she kept her ears open to their surrounding area. “I was born in a very small village. I don’t really remember to much of my parents or of where I was born. When I was about five I was brought to a human village that was still undecided about the war there I was raised by an elderly woman. It wasn’t very easy living as an elf in a human village but I made it” she made her voice sound optimistic. In her heart turmoil raged. She left out quite a bit about her past and she knew Aurora would know it, she only hopped she wouldn’t inquire about it, at least not yet.

Aurora could her the pain in her voice and felt sympathy for her. She understood better then Amara would have expected, she knew neither would really want to talk about it. Instead she turned her attention to Oblivious who was now very alert and moving cautiously ahead. She noticed the cats ears were perked listing, and her steps were deliberate and silent. Then she notice the shiny black fur was up in hackles, this in turn made her hair stand on end. Aurora motioned quickly for them to stop and placed a finger over her mouth. She strained her ears and eyes for what was alerting her playful kitty so, but saw nothing.

She could feel it a presence was nearby but it hadn’t approached yet. Her eyes caught the motion Aurora made from the corner of her eye and swung her head around to watch the other girls actions. She nodded to her indicating she understood the gesture then looked down to watch the panther.

So she hadn’t been the only one to notice the presence. She strained her ears and scanned the surrounding area. Silence there was only silence… then she heard it. it was faint but it was the sound of a twig snapping. Her body moved fluidly as she turned her body to meet the sound. Silently and with care she readied her bow and took aim waiting for the the owner of those near silent footfalls.

"It would appear you are not as stealthy as you might have hoped. Show yourself from the shadows and be met with friendship rather then violence." Aurora called out, her voice had a clear ring of authority. It was the practice tone of an official politician. She pulled her dagger loosed and balanced it on her fingers, ready for a swift attack. She knew however, from the cat taught haunches, that she would have no need to throw her knife. Oblivious was coiled like a spring under a great weight. That weight was Aurora's discipline. One word was all the cat needed to rocket forward.

Amara slid her eyes over to look at Aurora then quickly drew her gaze back to the forest. she would have prefered to hunt down whomever was spying on them but it would seem her partner like do do things a bit differently. sighing she shifted her foot slightly and let loose her arrow. she was sure it wouldnt hit her target but perhaps it would give them an incentive to move faster after all they hadnt moved yet.

"you heard her, show yourself" she said as she nocked another arrow. she could hear the snaping of twigs and the rustling of bushes as the stranger moved out from their hiding spot.

((i wasnt sure if you had someone in mind for this part if not leave it open ended and i'll fill in someone. >.> sorry it took me so long i get married in a few weeks so i'm kinda working on getting everything ready.))
