I've been knowing about them for a long time. I found out about them when they were first starting , I think, but never really listened at all. More recently, I found them again but I actually hated it. Haha. But then I tried them out again a few months ago and now I love them ! I've been addicted to "Dear God, I Hate Myself", which is their latest album . It's so amazing.
I can't really explain their sound to people who haven't listened to them before, so here are two of my favorite songs at the moment.
I own the rights, at least for non-commercial reasons, to all of xiu xiu's music. I had to ask jamie stewart for permission to use his music in a documentary and so, they are mine on the written page.
Anyway I'm terribly obsessed and sorry to bring an old thread back but damn your internet etiquette, this band is amazing. I am considering getting a xiu-xiu themed tattoo but I don't know what. I have a scar on my finger from when jamie's guitar string snapped onstage, and I hope it never heals.
