Lethal sighed as he watched the girls talk. He noticed that he hadn't once talked with Becca and didn't care...he knew it was best that they didn't talk. I think it's best that the girls talk and leave me out of it...I wouldn't understand their problems or anything about them because I'm no girl. he thought to himself. Lethal sat down and watched Cecilia stare off into space at the floor witch made him smirk. He wondered what she was thinking so deeply about and then looked over at Becca.

Becca ate slowly, enjoying the warm food. She handed some to her dog who eagerly licked it up, begging for more.

Cecilia snapped out of her little day dream. She had to quit doing that, it was a horrible habit. She looked over at Lethal. He looked almost upset about something, "Lethal, what are we going to do next?"

Lethal was surprised to hear Cecilia even talk to him. "Oh...well....we should let Becca eat and then after that...we should really find some weapons and a place to sleep. Oh! And I'm pretty thirsty...so we need to find something to drink..." he said to her and looked over at Becca and her dog, then back at Cecilia.

Becca nodded.
"Lethal is right. Enough dillydallying. We've got to find something to protect you all with. I'm pretty set," Becca said, patting her guns and her sword, "but some ammo would be nice. I can take ya'll to my house in the morning. I've still got running water up there. But I don't think it would be a good idea to travel at night. We need to find other survivors as well. The more we have in a group, the better we can forage for food."

Crack!! Crunch.

Finishing looting the remains of the now dead again cop Seth rejoiced in silence. He found a pistol, with a full clip, and an extra clip. Seth thought twice about taking the tazer, but shrugged and pocketed it anyways with a shaky hand. His blood was still pumping from the earlier confrontation involving a baseball bat and a certain cop's skull.

Seth opened the man's wallet and looked at his drivers license, "Well thanks for the goodies Tom, sorry that whole brain eating thing you had going on there made it so we could not be friends."

Seth looked around to see if any of Tom's 'friends' would show up before taking off his button up that was now ruined, he used a clean part of it to wipe off the bat and his face before throwing it to the ground. He looked to tom and chuckled, 'I'm still surprised to find that killing is legal now, first time out of that research facility in close to three years and I am greeted by people like Tom.'

"You know you don't need that belt anymore." Seth told Tom as he removed him of the belt which conveniently had a holster for both the gun and the tazer.

After replacing his own belt with the cop's one Seth took off his backpack and threw on another button up he had placed in it. Most of the contents of the backpack were clothing for him, but he also had a few candy bars he had found at the register, a half empty water bottle, and couple packs of gum. Zipping the backpack up he put his arms through the straps and straightened out his shoulders.

Bat in hand he continued to wander the mall, hoping to find more supplies.

"I'd like a better weapon.." Cecilia looked at the old pipe covered in blood that she'd finally set down on the floor, "Maybe..A..Bat..Or something..I've never really used a gun before or anything..." She looked up, "We should try to get as many supplies as we can here before heading out."

Lethal listened to what the girls were saying and nodded silently. "I don't care what my weapon is, as long as I have one." he said and yawned. "I'm tired, we should get what we can and find others and a place to sleep for a while." he said. He was getting a little sleepy now but he knew he had to stay awake for a little while longer, just until they were safe.

What he really wanted was a hiking backpack, not something that was displayed for a back to school sale. Seth adjusted the backpack again, while muttering to himself that even the most expensive backpack in the store was uncomfortable.

His train of thoughts was disrupted as he picked up sounds of voices coming from downstairs somewhere. Seth walked to the edge of glass meant to keep you from falling down to the first story and leaned over as far as he could, listening.

Confirming that it was not moaning he actually heard Seth started to look for the closest escalator. He had not seen 'real' people in a few years. This being the zombie apocalypse and all that he used to hear his students joking about Seth figured that it might be another month or more till he could find more people.

The hint of iron in the air put a frown on his face, normally he enjoyed the smell but this time it was different. Speaking of students there was one now, laying face down in a bloody pink hoodie with bright green shorts that were far to short. Of course she looked a couple of years older than the last time he had seen her. Another body was strewn out a couple of feet away from hers. Seemed to be a boy about her age, though he was ravished by undead for long enough that his features were unrecognizable.

Studying the scene further, while keeping alert, Seth found that her blood had not yet coagulated. This kill must have been fresh. Judging by the markings there were quite a few zombies though it was impossible to say how many. Seth stood and looked around, gripping his bat tighter.

'Where did they go... and why suddenly stop when they already had food in front of them still.', Seth pondered. It was only moments after thinking that an idea surged into Seth's mind.

'There are more people here!', he realized, 'I can't let them die, wandering around by myself sucks. Besides all of them probably have more right to live than I do.'

Cecilia stood up and stretched, "Alrighty. I'm ready when you guys are." She coughed a few times. "God I hope I'm not catching a cold..."

Lethal just looked at the girls and shrugged. "I guess we can leave now..." he said and really did feel out of place now for some strange reason. I'm going to keep my distance, but stay close at the same time...don't want them to get hurt or anything. he thought to himself and looked at Cecilia and then at Becca.

Becca nodded.
"Sounds good. I suggest we head over to the sporting goods, maybe cecilia a bat or something. Then maybe find a store that we can sleep in for a little bit. One of us will have to take the first watch. I think I'll take it."

"Sounds good to me!" Cecilia said, "Now...I think the sporting goods store is that way...But..I don't really...Remember..." She tried to remember her way around the mall, "Do you know where it is Becca?"

Becca though for a moment.
"hmmm. I'm pretty sure it's on this floor. i think you're right cecilia. I believe it is that way," Becca turned to address Lethal,"What do you think? "

Lethal looked around and began to think for a while. "Hmmm....I think it's this way..." he said and began to walk off in that direction. Lethal then stopped and looked back at the girls. "I'm not sure though..." he said quietly.

There they were, it seemed that it took the group some time to stumble down the escalators together. Seth counted ten or so, one of the stragglers had been taking its time and continued to stumble down the stationary escalator. He assumed this was the same group of zombies that attacked his former student and intended to find the others that were here.

One thing he could do is just open fire, that would kill all the zombies for sure he had enough bullets. But two problems with this plan. One, it would waste bullets. Two, it would draw attention and make lots of sound.

Seth decided against this, besides the voices sounded far off he had enough time to think of something more practical. An idea striking him he ran back the way he had came.

"Sounds good to me." Becca nodded, following Lethal. "Come on Cecilia. We will get nothing accomplished by just standing here."

"Yeah. If we stay in one place for too long we might run into those disgusting monsters..." Cecilia said, following them both, "I hate this. Wait..Do you hear that? It's like..A hissing sound. Maybe it's just me."

Lethal watched them and continued to walk but stopped at Cecilia's comment. "Shh...." he said and listened carefully but heard nothing. "I don't hear anything....but stay cautious either way." he said and continued to walk far ahead of the girls. He only looked back every now and then to check if they were still there.

Cecilia figured it was just her mind playing tricks on her. It had been a long day. Lethal and Becca both seemed very strong. She didn't feel as if she fit in with the two of them though. It made her feel childish being with them.

Becca strained her ears to listen to the sound cecilia though she heard, but nodded in agreement with Lethal as they kept moving. It felt good to have some company other than her dog for once.

They continued to walk for a long time before they found the sportings store. "Here we are..." he said and looked at them. Lethal slowly opened the door and entered. The lights were off so he searched along the walls until he flicked the switch and turned the lights on.

Seth had lied to himself, at least a little bit. This plan would involve some noise, but not nearly as much as gunshots. Based on the zombies path it looked like they were going towards where the sporting goods store was. Even if the survivors were there he could not allow that, that is where he was going.

So he set up a little surprise for them and laid in wait. The bedroom furniture was for display only, but Seth had a use for it. He had hauled a few pieces away from the store and set them right next to the edge. From the overlook he could clearly see the floor below him, and the slowly advancing small horde of zombies. If any survivors had passed when he was setting this up Seth would not have noticed.

The zombies were in position, and Seth started tipping the furniture. A tall heavy oak dresser was the first piece. it came crashing down on top of the zombies with a loud crunch of wood and bone. The remaining zombies moaned in a chorus like fashion, as a large table of similar color broke over two of their heads.


A few chairs later and Seth was out of things to throw. He had caused quite a ruckus with all of the breaking furniture, but when Seth looked around he did not see anymore undead shambling his way. With a few strangling zombies below, wandering around in confusion attempting to figure out the best way to the meal that had killed the others, Seth tightly gripped the sheet he had tied around a secure bench. He would save them the trouble of figuring out how to get up to him.

Cecilia looked around the rather large store. It looked untouched besides a few boxes on the floor. Her eyes searched the shelves as she walked down one of the walkways. She wanted something light, but that would still be able to do the damage she needed it to. Guns were too loud, she hated them. A baseball bat might break. She thought hard about what she wanted.

Lethal looked around but couldn't find anything that suited his tastes. "Hmmm, I can't find anything..." he said and looked at Cecilia. By the look on her face, he knew that she couldn't find a weapon either. "Maybe we should got to a garage store...buy some sledge hammers or something..." suggested Lethal.
