Ever heard a song with lyrics you just couldn't understand? Like if the lines make no sense at all or the lyrics are so muffled/distorted that you can't make out what they're saying? What do you think are the weirdest lyrics you've ever heard? Or even titles that have nothing to do with the song?
((Personally, I think of the words 'Hot tottie' which makes no sense at all to me. I mean, it makes me think of the word 'tot' which is a shorter form of 'toddler'... o.o so it creeped me out a bit. I've also heard one of my friends' favorite songs ends with 'the cake is a lie'...))

To be honest, the lyrics in "Fireflies - Owl City" sounds like it's written by someone when they're high. Don't get me wrong, I love Owl City. Just when you take the lyrics of the whole song, it really doesn't make any sense. Or is just extremely A.D.H.D. I like some of the lyrics alone though ^^

@bunnyonfire10 - Ah, I know how that is~ ^^ Cool! It must be the kind of lyrics that you can feel more than you can understand.

There was this song by, I want to say her name is Cindy something that's supposed to be about drinking and going to a party but half the song is just her saying "La di da da, pass the rum". Aside from that and "Dancing on the tables", you can't really understand what she is saying.
There are a few songs that translate bad into English that I listen to but the other lyrics in the other languages are really nice. That's more or less just because some words just do not translate.

I've listened to songs where they'll have a title, but that title isn't mentioned in the song at all. In order to actually understand why that title is there to begin with, the video must be watched. Otherwise it just sounds a bit like gibberish or something till then. That seems pretty close to lyrics not making any sense. However with this there's a way around it to understand.

@ Mystic - Hm, are you maybe talking about Ke$ha? She has a couple songs like that. But they have good tunes, and I can't help but listen. They make me smile~ Yeah, I know about translations not making sense. I often search the internet to find ones that do.
@ Sakiko123 - Ah, I see. I've seen a couple of those songs, I think. It makes the story of the song that much deeper~ I especially love when the video is well-made~ Yeah, with this, you're able to figure out the meaning of the title. ^^ And it gives a sense of accomplishment when you figure it out, I guess. ^^ Or maybe that's just my view on it.

a 'Hot Tottie' is actually a drink for when you're feeling sick to help you sleep. Made of Lemon Tea, Honey, and Bourbon. So yeah once you know that, the song makes no sense...
Also the 'cake is a lie' is from the game 'Portal'. The song is called 'Still Alive' very cute song.
hmm songs that lyrics make no sense... All of Ke$ha's... most of Lady Gaga's.... actually just most modern music makes no sense to me!

@Syra - Ooohh! So that's what it means! :) Thanks for telling me. >.> But yeah... The song still makes no sense whatsoever...
Ah, okay. She never told me the title of the song, so thanks! :D
Yeah... Most modern music makes no sense, but most of it is fun to listen to :XD even if it's just for a laugh.

Well, there have been phrases in songs that I just didn't get until someone explained them to me later. For example, one of my friends had to explain what "Superman that . . ." meant to me. I was quite disgusted, but it helped understand what the heck the guy was saying. Granted, I now refuse to listen to that song voluntarily.

Scatman John, Scat Man great song, and I like it for the beat and the good sense of sound, BUT half the song is pure gibberish. Playlist.com | Epic Scat Man SHOULD play first, just listen to it. Scat Man also remade Invisible Man =D

My favorite artist, Adam Lambert, has one song called Down the Rabbit Hole where he says it
Quote:

. This lyrics has honest to god completely boggled me. I mean the song itself is relatively confusing, kinda sounds like an acid trip but i can at least make my best guess at the rest of the lyrics.

Rap falls into the category of lyrics that make no sense (or I just can't understand what they're saying). Just my 2c worth.

Oh, I've heard A LOT. I just can't name them, though. I'm not so keen on titles. xD
Ooo~ maybe the Gummy Bear song. But its lyrics are probably intended to actually not mean anything.

well unless you read the storybook, this would make no sense to you
Quote:
And there are those who
Hadn't found the speaking so wrong
Is it wrong
Of Pavlov lore
They ran rampant through the floors
Is this wrong
Feels so wrong
Happened on a respirator
In the basements
Are they gone are they gone
Stung the slang of a gallows bird
Rationed a dead letter pure
Trackmarked amoeba lands craft
Cartwheel of scratches
Dress the tapeworm as pet
Tentacles smirk please
Flinched the cocooned meat
Infra-recon forgets

There is one song that I absolutely love, but has no sense at all unless you really listen to the lyrics. It's called I Cant Decide by ScissorSister. It's a hilarious song and I listen to it everyday. At first I was like "...Wut?" but after awhile I got it.
I mean, the main theme is about wondering if someone should live or die, but there added extra things into the lyrics that puzzled me at first. I'm sure it's just me, but my friend had the same problem.
It's a catchy song, I suggest people to listen to it. c:
