[ I love you like a sibling!... Wait... ]

Twins. Born together, raised together- yes? Taught to love and cherish each other? What happens when that loving and cherishing goes too far, though?

Name: Sherry 'Cherry' Vandermark
Age: 16 (( Three minutes younger than her brother ))
Personality: Cherry is very smart, but keeps it to herself. At school, her grade report cards show nothing of her intelligence. She is quiet around most everyone and trusts very few people. She is rather clumsy at times and doesn't handle pressure well at all. She relies on her brother for mostly everything.
Background: Born only three minutes apart from her brother, sometimes Cherry thinks that she wasn't supposed to be born at all. From a young age, she has always thought that he was the one who deserved this life. She supports herself sometimes, but chooses to rely on her brother. She loves and trusts him more than anyone else- and she has ever since she could remember. When the two entered high school, she hate it. Her grades dropped dramatically even though her IQ was hitting a break through. She grew near-silent for the longest of times, only talking to her brother- but realized she was being selfish and now tries her hardest to 'fit in'

Luke is the one that most people go to for help for homework. Although he is generally happy, he can have quite a temper.
Backround: Luke had always tried to be there for his sister. He knows that she relies on him, and he knows that he needs to be help her. His goal is to try to help her open up, and to help her be more out there.

"Are you talkin' to me?" Cherry asked, along-side the television. "Are you. Talkin' to me?" She paused. "There's nobody around. So's you's must be talkin' to me." As the action scene went on, she decided to flip the channel. She'd seen that movie too many times to count, so there was no use watching it again if she knew every line.

"Sherry, did you pack your lunch!?"
Her mother called to her from the kitchen. She must have just gotten home. Her mom worked a lot. She was home while her twins went to school and was gone almost the entire time they were home. Cherry looked behind her from where she sat on the couch. "Yeah, mom." She then added, "I'm stopping a the store after school. We're running out of bread and cheese." She could see the forty-something year old woman nod her head in exhaustion and Cherry frowned. She really did work herself too hard at times like these. "Alright. I'll pay you back when I can, honey." Cherry stood up and walked into the kitchen where her mom was. "Don't worry about it. Me and Luke can take care of ourselves. Just worry about yourself." She said quietly, petting the back of her mother's hair. "Alright, Sherry. Wake your brother up, you two should get going soon if you don't want to be late. I'm going to bed." She said, putting her bag on the table and walking into her room. "Have a good day at school." Sherry only nodded silently. Sleep well, momma.

When the door shut to her mother's room, Cherry began walking down the hall on the opposite side of the house. She got to her brother's door and smiled, opening it quietly. She snuck up to his bed slowly and silently. When she got to his bed, she pulled up the covers and got in with him. He was warm from sleep and she wondered how long it would be until he noticed she was in his bed and woke up.

Cherry loved her brother more than anything, and he loved her more than anything too. It was a mutual relationship of trust, but sometimes Cherry wondered what they would be if they weren't twins. She faced his sleeping face and smiled, pulling her hand up to touch his nose. It was warm, too. "Lu~uke." She whispered in a sing-song voice. "Wake up, sleepy head." She laughed quietly.

Luke began to slowly wake up as he heard a soft voice bounce around his room. He blinked a few times, his eyes adjusting to the sunlight. Once he finally caught vision of his sister, he chuckled along side of her.

"You always know how to wake a person up, sis." He smiled, before gently rubbing her head. He sat up and stretched a bit, before standing up and looking at Sherry.

"Where's mom?" He asked her. Luke figured she was asleep, she often was, but who could blame her? She was always working, and she had two children she had to deal with. He just wondered how she had lasted so long. "Never mind," He said with a sigh, "Let's just get ready for school." He suggested, before holding his hand out to his sister, to help her out of his bed.

He honestly didn't know what he would do without his sister. It seemed like his mother would give out at any given moment, and his sister would be the only one there if that were ever to happen. He knew she relied upon him, and his biggest fear was letting her down. All that trust that took sixteen years to gain would be lost in an instant. He sighed lightly at the thought, before mustering up a big smile for Sherry, not wanting her to wonder if anything was wrong.

As Luke woke up, Cherry grinned. When he pet the top of her head slightly, she blushed and covered her head to shoo his hand away, playfully. He then stretched and stood up, asking where mom was. She opened her mouth to answer, but figured he knew when he said 'never mind'. She laid in his bed awhile more, wanting to go back to sleep for awhile and snuggle with Luke, but when he suggested getting ready for school, she nodded. "Yeah... I guess..." She smiled a bit as she took his hand and got up.

She had always been the first one to wake up- ever since they were kids, so she was used to waking Luke up and him taking it from there. She never forgot how useful he was to have around if you had a tight schedule.

As she stretched, she was the first one out of his room. "I'm taking a quick shower." She yawned.

Luke nodded as she told him she was going to take a shower. "Kay, hurry though. We don't have much time." He informed her. He had always taken his shower that night before, he probably should've tried to pass that quality on to his sister.

Luke shut his door, before getting dressed, and doing his normal morning routine.

(Sort of short, sorry)

(( Nah, its okay (: ))

As she stepped into the shower to discover the water was nice and warm, she smiled and massaged the shampoo into her scalp. It was nice to wake up and take a shower, though she knew her brother always took his the night before. It worked out for the both of them, so there were no troubles over who had the bathroom the most.

When she stepped out felling fresh and clean, she toweled off and walked to her room, right across the hall from Luke's room. Both of them had rooms on the opposite side of the house as their mom since neither of them wanted to disturb her while she slept. She walked in, closing the door behind her and taking the towel off to pick out what she would wear. After picking out a nice black miniskirt and a dark purple long-sleeved top, she put them on and went to fix her hair and put make up on.

When she was done, she tied her boots and grabbed her bag, then left her room and knocked on Luke's door. "Ready, Luke?" She called.

Luke finished fixing his hair, before opening his door. "Yeah, I'm ready." He said, grabbing his backpack, and slipping on a pair of tennis shoes. He stepped out of his room for the first time that morning, and looked at Sherry, "If we want to catch the bus we better start walking." He said, not wanting to miss the bus....again.

(Sorry it's been kind of an off and on day for RPing for me. I've been out with the family alot today, so I've had a hard time replying to RPs. I'm super duper sorry.)

(( Tis' more than alright, lightning. ^3^ ))

As Luke suggested getting a move on, she nodded with a smile and led him down the hall and out the door. She knew that they had missed the bus too many times to count and she knew that every time they did miss it, Luke was mad.

She continued walking down the street with her lovely smile stamped right on her face. As she saw the first sign of people at the bus stop, she frowned and slowed down, no longer leading in front of Luke, but now following closely behind him. Cherry didn't like the bus stop. Or the bus. Or school. And especially the people at the bus and school. She could tell that Luke knew her insecurities around people all too well, so she used him as a 'social crutch' so to say. And she felt more and more guilty about it every day.

Luke silently followed after Sherry. He watched as they neared the bus stop, and as his sister was suddenly behind him, rather than infront. "There is nothing to be worried about. They are just people." He reassured her, and smile on his face.

Luke was always a bit concerned the way his sister acted around people. She was a bit..well...antisocial, and he didn't want this to affect her high-school life. She would never make any friends if she didn't talk, and Luke wanted to help her.

Cherry nodded silently at Luke's words and let out a quiet sigh. Today. Today, I will talk in class. She nodded, determined to make Luke proud of her. As the bus rolled up and everyone got into a long line, Luke and Cherry were the last to get on.

As she sat down first, though, she stared out the window and closed her eyes. She looked over to Luke and wondered if he did his English homework. She hadn't seen much of him yesterday after school since she was so busy with house stuff. She knew Luke had friends in school that he liked to talk to, and sometimes she wanted to let him go so that he could enjoy his social life with his high school friends, rather than sticking with her and holding her hand everywhere she went. She was going to change. She was going to 'fit in', no matter what the consequences were.

Luke sat down next to her, letting out a sigh of relief. He was glad that they hadn't missed the bus that time, it'd been the first time that they'd been on the bus for a while.

"Are you trying out for something today?" He asked Sherry. He knew today they were holding try outs for things, and he thought maybe his sister would want to do something. Luke wasn't much of an athletic person, and he wasn't in to football or anthing like that, but he thought he would try to try out for base ball, anyways. He'd remember alot of the rules from when he'd played it when he was younger, so he had a little chance at making it.

Cherry blinked a few times when he asked her if she would try out for anything today. She remembered that there were sports and clubs that were opening to new members today. She looked at her brother's soft expression and smiled, nodding her head. "Maybe..." She shrugged. "What about you?" She asked as they neared school, slightly expecting the answer to be baseball.

She knew the baseball team would welcome him with open arms once they saw how well of a player he was. She wished him the best of luck in whatever he wanted to do.

(( No prob. I could work something from it. ^^ ))

Cherry smirked when he said baseball. It had been exactly what she'd expected. She opened her mouth to talk more, but they had just pulled into the school. She frowned and closed her mouth. The bus doors both opened and everyone stood up to get off. She and Luke both got out safely, without getting ran over by the other students, and she stopped right outside the bus. "Wait, Luke." She said, grabbing his arm so he would wait awhile. "I... I think that I'm going to eat lunch off campus today. So, don't wait for me during lunch. I'll catch you after school in the usual spot." She sighed.

Cherry smiled a bit tiredly. "Shopping." She said- which mostly wasn't a lie. She did tell her mother that she would do some shopping. She had planned it for after school, but since she did nothing but eat with Luke during lunch, she decided that she might as well make some use of the time, and let Luke be off to go hang out with her friends. She loved him enough to let him go. She loved him enough to do anything for him. "T-That's all..." She concluded. "I guess I'll see you after school than." She reached up and gave him a nice hug, then kissed him on his cheek. "Love you." She smiled, then walked away towards the building she had her first period in.

Luke shrugged as she told her her plan, "Well, okay then. Love you too." He said back as she walked to her first period. He sighed before entering the building to his first period. Ah, boring math... He thought to himself. He absolutely hated math. It wasn't only his first subject of the day, but it was also his worst subject of the day. He sighed, before walking into the classroom. He was the last one in, like normal.

"Luke, why must you always come to class so late?" The mono-tone math teacher asked, an eyebrow raised. Luke just shrugged nervously, before continuing to his desk. He rolled his eyes as he heard his friends' laugh quietly.

Cherry made it through first period. She hadn't talked yet, which was bad since she promised herself she would, but she still had six more periods of the day to sharpen up. At the bell, she walked out of Science and started making her way to English. She liked English mostly because they read a lot in that class and Cherry very much loved the stories that their teacher picked out. It was arguably her favorite class of the year.

As she turned to enter the room, she ran smack into another boy. The both of them quickly scurried to their feet as they both lost their balance and fell nearly on top of each other. "I'm so sorry..." Cherry said quickly, then gasped. She spoke! At school! Her eyes were wide and proud.

The boy looked a little more than confused. "Sherry?" He asked. She looked startled. She blinked a few times and looked at him questioningly. "You kn-know my name?" She asked. The boy grinned. Cherry recognized him from her Spanish class. Trenton, was it? "Of course I know the best art student in the school's name." He chuckled. Cherry blinked again. Was she the best art student in the school? She took Art I, weren't there more advanced classes? This boy was confusing her.

The boy shook his head. "You probably don't remember me. Trenton." He smiled and took her hand shaking it up and down. "Trenton Miles." Sherry frowned. Why was he talking to her so much? "Hey, do you think maybe you could come with me to the art room during lunch? I could really use some critic on my last piece." he smiled.

Cherry only thought for a second before nodding quickly. This was her chance. Her chance to 'fit in'. Her chance to let go of her brother and let him live his own life instead of always supporting hers. "Alright than, Sherry. I'll see you in the art room during lunch." He grinned, then reached over and pulled her into a hug which she did not return. The only person she really hugged was Luke, and that's the way she wanted it to be.

(( Ohhhh, maybe Luke should find them and get jealous? xDDD ))

((My thoughts exactly  Can't wait till lunch...hehehe))

Luke sighed as he shoved his things into his locker. His next class was Science. He was good at this, but it was a pretty boring class.

He quickly entered his class, not last this time. He kept a close eye on the clock, counting down till the class ended.

Second period flew by faster than a jet. Before long it was third period and then, it would be lunch. Third period wasn't Cherry's favorite class, but she tolerated it-- loosely.

She began eye-ing the clock as if she could make time go faster and before long, the bell rang signaling lunch time. She smirked at herself and stood up, gathering her books and walking towards the cafeteria to go see Luke. Then she remembered that she had told him she was going shoppin off of campus. She shook her head, smiling, then started walking towards the doors to leave, then she stopped again and sighed-- Remembering that she had told Trenton she would meet him in the art room.

She was getting too confused lately. Maybe she needed more vitamin C in her diet. She made a small note to get some orange juice at the store as she walked towards the art room.

When she made it in, she dropped her bag by the door and started looking for Trenton. As he seemed to find her first, he called her name. "Sherry!" She turned around to see him at a table, looking through a folder. She walked over slowly and sat down- still without a word. "Great, your here! Thanks for coming!" The tall blond-haired boy grinned. Cherry smiled back at him, but couldn't help feeling uncomfortable. He was just so... energetic.

She made another small note to grab some energy boosters at the store.

He pulled her chair closer to his and pointed at a painting he'd done on a small sheet of paper. "Check out this one. Isn't it cool? I kinda took the concept from one of your paintings." He chuckled. Cherry looked at it and felt his arm snake over her shoulder. She blushed a bit, feeling that she was probably a little too close, but the figured that if he was a 'popular' guy, he knew how people behaved. And if people were normally this close, Cherry was okay with it.

She was still very determined to 'fit in'.

Luke couldn't help but to smile when lunch finally came. He was about to wait for Sherry, but sighed when he remembered that she went shopping. He then remembered that he had to go to the art room to pick up supplies for his project. He slowly walked into the art room, flinching at what he saw.

"S-Sherry?!"

Sherry looked up when she heard her name being called and saw Luke. Her face went bright red and she looked at Trenton who had quickly taken his arm off of her and scooted away. Why was Luke even in the art room? Didn't he usually go to see friends when she was busy with other things? Then again, it did look like Sherry was lying about where she was going-- which was bad. She didn't want her brother to think she was a liar. She gathered her thoughts quickly as the blush from her face disappeared. "Yes, Luke?" She asked in an emotionless voice.

Cherry frowned. "I had a change of plans." She grimaced. When she was asked who the boy was, she turned to Trenton who simply held up his hands. "Bro, I- I didn't know she was someone's girlfriend. I'll lay off. I'm sorry." Trenton stood up quickly and grabbed his things leaving Cherry with a surprised face and Luke all alone in the room.

After a descent amount of silence, the only think on her mind was how Trenton had just thought she was Luke's girlfriend. She was left with a blush on her face, and she didn't know why. She loved her brother... But did she love him like that? She blushed even more at the thought. How could she even think something like that!? She knew it was wrong to have feelings for a sibling that weren't of only-family-related love.

Yet... She couldn't help but think again what she would be to Luke if she wasn't his sister-- if she wasn't his twin.

Cherry coughed uncomfortably and shook her head. "I'll... I'll go talk to him later. He doesn't know that we're twins." She sighed, standing up and walking to her bag. "I'm sorry..." She muttered as she opened the door to leave.
