"No!" Roxas exclaimed, pulling the blanket up and over his head.

"Come on. You got class in about 20 minutes." Riku said, taking a step back away from Sora.

Axel yanked the blanket away. " Get out of bed." He said. Geez it never took this long to get Sora up.

" Oh class, mhmm k" He said with a yawn, but he still wanted to sleep.

"I don't want too." Roxas said, turning over so he could glance at Axel, still hugging the pillow.

"Come on. Get ready." Riku said, raising an eyebrow lightly. He was surprised Roxas had actually gotten up willingly. That never happened.

" Well tough, you can't stay in bed, come on get up." Axel said.

" Oh uh yeah right" Sora said. He got out of bed and looked around, so how exactly was he suppose to get ready.

Roxas narrowed his eyes at Axel. "You gonna make me get up?" he asked, raising an eyebrow lightly.

Riku gave him a curious look. "You okay? You look lost." he said.

'That cause I am' Sora thought. " Uh, I'm fine" He said lying. How was he suppose to get ready he had no idea.

" Yes I am" He said. Axel said. He yanked away the pillow" Get up" He said.

"Ok. If you say so." Riku said. "When you're ready, meet me in the courtyard."

Roxas glared at Axel before rolling over again so his back was facing the redhead. "I'm still not getting up."

" Ok" Sora said. After Riku left he started looking through Roxas' note hoping it would explain a bit more.

Axel suddenlly moved closer to Roxas, knowing this normally upset Sora. " Are you sure you want to tempt me?" He asked.

The notes just said Sora was to bath quickly and get dressed in comfortable, easy-to-move in clothes for sparring.

Roxas kept his back to Axel, refusing to look at him. "I'm not getting out of bed yet."

Sora did as the notes suggested before, leaving and heading where he needed too.

Axel rolled his eyes before picking Roxas up out of bed, and holding him in a bridal like way, before depositing on the floor, gently and placing his self in between the bed and Roxas. " Really, your normally not like this at all jeez." He said.

Riku was waiting patiently for Sora to come out. He glanced over at him when he sensed someone approaching. "Alright. Ready to begin?" he asked.

Roxas's eyes widened when he felt himself be picked up. He took in the posistion he was in and couldn't stop a light blush from forming on his face. When he was placed on the ground, he kept his face away from Axel, forcing it to fade. "I'm sorry. I'm just tired."

" Um yeah" He said. He so wasn't ready at all this.

" Alright, you must be sick, blushing and refusing to get up after the first few attempts. " Axel said.

Riku nodded. "Alright. Get in a defensive posistion." he said, taking an offensive stance. He'd wait until Sora was ready before he struck him.

Roxas shook his head. "I'm not blushing." he said, keeping his voice level. He was glad when he felt the blush leave his face.

" Then you must have a fever of sorts" Axel said. He got close in Roxas face and place a hand on his forehead. " Your acting so odd, I'm worried" He mumbled.

Sora tried his best, but fell flat on his butt. " Ow" He said.

Roxas froze when Axel approached.But he jumped back quickly when he was touched. "I'm fine." he said, looking away from Axel. He didn't like it when people invaded his personal space like that. "You shouldn't worry."

A confused look crossed his face. "You okay?" he asked, going over to Sora. "You've done this hundreds of times. What's different about today?"

Sora shrugged," I don't know" He said. He should have known he couldn't pretend so well to be someone he wasn't already he had mess up, from the looks of it.

Axel shook his head," I'm going to worry, whether you want me to or not." He said. Axel sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

Riku patted Sora on the head. "Don't let it bother you. Everyone has an off day." he said. He held his hand out to help him up. "Just try again."

"Why?" Roxas asked, turning his gaze towards Axel. "Because you're supposed to be protecting me?"

Sora nodded, and let Riku help him up. " I'll do my best" He said. As they tried again, Sora messed up once again.


Axel shook his head," No cause your the closest thing I have to a friend, even though you hate me" Axel said.

Riku sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "You need to position your feet differently." he said. He went over to Sora and grabbed hold of his pants leg, pulling til it moved to the right position. "It'll help with your balance."

Roxas was silent for a few seconds before standing up. "I'm sorry for making you worry..." he muttered, turning his back on Axel. He didn't understand how Sora could be so mean towards Axel, who seems to care for him. It didn't make sense. He made a mental note to go sneak into the castle and ask him about it later.

Sore's face turned a deep shade of red. " Alright" He mumbled.

" It's alright, just get dress, your parents want you to join them for breakfast, before the head out of town for their monthly visit to the marketplace, out of town." Axel said. He then left Roxas alone for a bit.

Riku raised an eyebrow as he glanced at Sora's face. "You okay?" he asked. "You're face is really red."

"Right..." Roxas muttered, watching Axel leave. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before digging through Sora's drawers to find something he'd want to wear. Once he found it, he dressed quickly and left the room to go eat.

" Yeah, I'm fine" Sora said. He turned his face away.



Axel was sitting with Sora's parents at the table. His parents smiled and said good morning. His mother went over to hug Roxas.

"You sure? Cause you're face is really red." Riku said, his voice turned to a teasing tone.

"Morning." Roxas said, smiling at them, doing his best to act happy. When Sora's mother hugged him, he was a little reluctant to hug her back. But he did. He wasn't used to this kind of attention from a motherly figure and he didnt' know how he should act.

" I said, I'm fine" Sora said snapping. Sora wanted to smack his self from what he had noticed, Roxas didn't seem to be all that loose with his emotions, while Sora was.

Axel noticed Roxas reluctance to hug his mother. Soon the food was serve to them, and Axel figured he'd ask him later about it.

Riku took a step back, obviously shocked. "Wow Roxas. I never thought I'd hear you snap like that." he said, amazed. "I was just joking. It's just that I never seen you blush before in all the time that I've known you."

Roxas kept a happy smile on his face as he ate breakfast with Sora's parents and Axel. And as much as he'd hate to admit it, he was actually wishing his parents were like this with him. But they were normally too busy to be bothered with this type of thing.
