Well, I did get someone who blew up at me on Gaia when I mentioned how a video someone posted in my thread seemed offensive to me. It didn't seem like a big deal to me, but he went into a long tirade about why I have no right to be offended and such. I still don't get why he just went and exploded. *shrugs*

That was something a struggled to get used to when I swtiched from gaia to mene, I had been on gaia for so long I was used to the way things work then and moving over here was way more difficult than I thought it would be. Though their similar on a base level - as in they are both avatar communities, that is pretty much the only thing in common. I think that was why I had a hiatus from mene and went back to gaia. I found the slow gold earning annoying and the slower pace frustrating. But I did however love the avatars and the people and that was what brought me back. :'D And now, I think i'll never leave. <3 Specially not now i've found Zephi: and Liquid Diamond: I love these guys so much it's not even funny. <3 ... not to mention diamond wants to have my babies and Zephi a great climbing frame. :'D

I pretty much stopped going to Gaia completely two days after I found Mene. I liked the feeling of actually being able to get something decent without working my ass off, not to mention people were actually polite, for once. On Gaia there were some nice people, including the aforementioned guy before he blew up at me, but it was hard to keep track of things in the forums when you get hundreds of new posts every second. And people were so hard-bent on getting gold and items instead of just socializing.

...Speaking of which, didn't I meet you on Gaia I think? O_o It's been so long I don't really remember anymore. xD;;

Yeah, people here are 100% nicer! :'D And I agree, when I made friends on gaia I usually lost touch with them and you never saw them around anymore - there were just too many users.

Yep, not to mention the hoards of hackers and scammers.
I remember reading somewhere that of the millions of users Gaia has, they only have around 200 moderators, so everything's immensely backlogged.

I've sent in an appeal for my banned account twice and they just sent me an automated mail the first time, then told me that the case's 'put into a cue' the second time, and after that, nothing. It's been over two years.

Cherri: As in on gaia there are loads of ways of making gold, which mean you can get the gold pretty fast, where as mene it can take like half an hour to an hour to get 100 if you are chatting in medium sized posts. Also there are about 10 times as mene users on gaia meaning theres a lot more people around chatting so the pace is faster.

The only time I went back was around a year ago to give my second main account (after the first one got banned) to a friend. XD

I used to spend all my time in the Chatterbox and Charity forums. XD
The Charity forums where my friends were, and the Chatterbox for the occasional giveaway some people held. I sometimes managed to snag some nice items. (which is where most of my wealth came from, as I was more interested in posting than making gold, so I never had much to spend)

Fading, what was the best prize you won? Just out of curiousity. I used to spend most of my time mucking around in the chatterbox. ^_^

Yeah, I gave up on wallflowers once I found zephi and Diamond, i'm not a wallflower and people mostly ignored me in there and it's usually dead. Cookie's great though. : ) But we rp together so I'm still in touch.

Yeah. The only thing that still captivated me towards them was the ability to change into a creature or monster of some sort. I always liked being something non-human. XD;

Although towards the time when I left, pretty much everything had a pose that changed you into something not-human, so that kinda lost it its novelty as well.

Cookie's awesome, but I haven't been able to chat with her much lately. We never seem to be online at the same time, and the times we were, I couldn't stay for long before I had to sign off, which sucks. :(
