I'm not just talking about normal things that people do that would get on your nerves...like talking too much, being obnoxious, etc. I'm talking about the weird things that drive you totally batty.
For example, I can't STAND normal toothbrushes. If it's not mechanical, I wont use it. The sound and the feel of those plastic bristles against my poor, sensitive little teeth....UGH! And then the brush slips and you feel the plastic part on your teeth through all of the bristles...it gives me chills.
My stepdad is annoyed by the sound of squeaky styrofoam, and he can't stand the feel of plain ol' cotton. Cotton swabs drive him crazy. xD

I can't be the only person with weird things that drive me crazy. What are some of yours?

I cannot stand the sound of metal scraping against metal. It makes my ears hurt and my teeth ache, because it reminds me of visiting the dentist when they scrape your teeth with the metal tools to clean them.

Any high pitches annoying noise. Like when computers make that high pitched squeaking noise. O.o Whenever I say something about it people are like "what the heck are you talking about?". It hurts my ears though. That and any kind of beeping drives me nuts.

I don't like it when anyone does anything to anyone JUST TO PISS THEM OFF. Like, knowing they HATE it, and then do it just to make 'em angry.
That said, I do that to my boyfriend about tickling...BUT IT'S BECAUSE HE'S JUST SO CUTE. :drool: And he knows I do it just because I want his attention. Mostly. the rest is because I want him to make that pouty face at me...:drool: :heart:

Balloons.

I hate balloons.

Not the non-elastic type of balloons, those are fine, but I loathe the rubbery types that make those squeaky sounds when rubbed on, and the way they go BANG and explode when you least expect it. *shudders*

I cant STAND figer nails on a choak bored @_@ or anything that sounds simolar >_<... I also cant stand zombies o.o.. like anything with zombies in it .. ^^" nope not for me!!! -unless its like those cute little chibi zombies X3 other then that NO WAY! XD

Ugh, I hate that! I honestly thought that I was the only person who could hear those crazy computer noises and high pitched sounds. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who everybody thinks is crazy because of it. :3
Haha....boyfriends can make cute faces sometimes. And hey--sometimes they need to focus on their girls more often. Way to make him pay attention. Kudos to you. xD

I can stand when people don't take care of their nails. Like if you have a chipped nail it will seriously disgust me like no other. My one friend has terrible nail, that are pale and break easily and she leaves then chipped and misshapen and it disgusts me so much especially when she tries to file her nails and makes it worse, she even files on the base of the nail! I keep telling her filing the base of her nail doesn't help but she doesn't believe me. I have to look away from disgusting nails or I'll really freak out and saying "oh my god" in shock over and over again, weird huh? XD

I also HATE anything that smells like Pepto Bismol, so really any bubble-gum smelling medication really sickens me. I seriously have a sickening feeling in my tummy when I smell that stuff. *blerg* >.>

I cringe when people scrape silverware on their teeth. If I do it on accident I actually gag. I hate when people make that little clicky noise after they finish a sentence. I'd have to demonstrate to show you what exactly I mean but UGH!

So much... SO MUCH... HERE'S A LIST.

One of my biggest peeves is something that resurfaced while playing .hack//G.U. Vol. 1 Rebirth. I really HATE excessively long cut scenes in games. What is worse is that there are three kinds of scenes in the game: Cinematic, In Game watching, and In Game Press-X-To-Continue.

The OPENING of the game is, I kid you not, 20 minutes long. I do not care how epic it is, You do NOT make a player sit through 20 minutes worth of two kinds of cut scenes then move onto the third! Then after being handed 2 minutes of gameplay, there was another 10 minutes of cut scenes with the X-Continue kind. Bane was not amused.

People who think they are right but are wrong. Worse if they realize they are wrong or know they are the whole time and DON'T ADMIT IT. Or they do and don't apologize.

When you try to open something to eat, but in the process you manage to tear/squish/destroy the food.
Why must they make food so hard to get to? WHY?

When my parents drive in a point into the ground. I GET IT ALREADY, YOU DON'T NEED TO KEEP RUBBING IT IN.

When I fall asleep watching a movie or reading because I didn't get enough sleep. I fell asleep reading Brave Story by Miyuki Miyabe today, and got in 40 pages before nodding off.... I lsot my place and forgot what I read so I had to start ALL over.

CUSTOMERS. Especially the ones who whisper their order and seem to either not understand WHY I can't hear them or get angry about it.

... Things the media ALWAYS gets wrong... For example:

IT'S NAME IS NOT FRANKENSTEIN YOU IDIOTS AGH! Frankenstein is the MAD SCIENTIST. The monster's not is not Frankenstein! And it's not SteIn, it's STEEN. That's not you pronounce it!

Also, HAKATE IS NOT EVIL. Yes, she lives in the underworld, but that does not make her evil! She is a patron saint of magic! Yes, Charmed and Evermore, I am looking at YOU.

Sleeping with the wall on the wrong side. The wall absolutely has to be at my head, and to my left while I'm lying on my back. Otherwise I can't sleep.

I knew a girl who'd literally shriek and cover her ears at the sound of bare feet being rubbed against carpet, which as we were living together for a week and I like to be barefoot... it was unpleasant. She'd keep accusing me of rubbing my feet on purpose to bother her and I'd be like I AM WALKING.

Anyway. I despise mechanical toothbrushes, the little whrrrrz sound they make is just terrible. I also hate games where you cannot skip over cutscenes. I will keep tapping x/start/a/whatever as if it somehow makes the scene go faster....

Oh, also, the fact that parents also seem to think their teenage children are on drugs, or any protective-paranoia for that matter. You're tired? Pot. You're excited? Speed. You're scared? Extacy. This is sometimes an amusing part of childhood or sometimes the worst thing ever.

I can't stand the way velvet feels. It makes me skin crawl.

Also, I can't stand it when I go to someone's house that I'm not familiar with, i need something to drink/eat or something of that sort, and they go," Oh. The fridge is down the hall to the right." I don't expect them to show me everything, but if it's my first time there, I don't want to wander around the house looking for something. Also, i'm very uncomfortable around parents, so i'm always terrified that they'll walk in on my scouring their fridge. It's different if i'm familiar with a house, though. I've go over to one of my friend's house like once a week or more so I know where everything is, and I think her parent's are used to me just sitting on the couch watching TV while my friend takes a shower. XD

Gum chewing

it's a disgusting habit for a lot of people, especially when they chew with their mouths open like they are white trash.
My mom quit smoking and depended on gum for the longest time and she chewed like a cow, now I can't stand it.

Also when people get so easily grossed out- like if they find a hair on a counter, in food it's understandable, but in general vicinity of them? Do they realize that peoples hair falls out all the friggen time?

Bubbles, like the ones in coffee. And the foam you get when detergent is added to water. Absolutely outrageous.
When I was a kid they scared the crap out of me and I would scream and run around. I wouldn't drink my milk unless my mother burst every little bubble.
Now I'm over it but it's still a bit creepy. But I've always liked water bubbles. They're fun lol

I'm unfortunately grossed out by strands of hair in places I don't want them to be. I know hair falls out wherever, whenever and I don't care if they are on the floor/carpet/table/counter as long as they are:

a) dry
b) lone strands of hair, not clumped, clustered or tangled [I hate dust bunnies :(]

If they are wet, on the side of the bathroom sink (not in it), on the bathroom floor, and worse, in the kitchen sink/on dishes while I'm washing them then I am gonna freak. I couldn't care less if there's any hair on the ground outdoors. The piles of hair on the floors of barbershops and hair salons are ok, wet or dry :)

It's very vexing when people ask what I'm doing when I'm in the bathroom doing a #2. It's embarrassing to no end :cry: But I don't mind if they bother me while I'm peeing or taking a bath. I know it's weird X_X

I'm bothered by songs that are over-played on the radio or when none of the stations are playing anything I like and I have to wait a while. [I'm sorry, I'm a little impatient with music :sweat:]

And it's not as bad as the first three but I find it somewhat annoying when people get upset about 'manga' being called 'comics'. They are technically comics :XP

The smell of fish. Especially salmon. It's smells SO bad I can't bring myself to eat it. In my entire 145-going on 16 years of life I have NEVER had a bite of salmon. And when people crack their knuckles. It sounds like bones cracking! I hate washing dishes too, when the segments of leftover foods change the colour of the water and how the water pours down the sink. It's sooo gross.

I hate it when my hands are dry. When i touch anything dry when my hands are dry i shiver and freak out and immediately have to go find some lotion. It makes me crinnnnnge. I also hate it when i get cut and it only cuts the outer layer of skin and it doesn't bleed but instead kind flaps there all lose. I ALSO don't like it when you put paper on carpet and then step on it or write on it. I also hate how dry chalk is. GAAAH!

There is one girl who goes to my school whose voice I absolutely cannot stand. She has to be the most obnoxious person I've met in my life (which is saying a lot, as I find a lot of people obnoxious), and she talks very loudly and is pretty much always angry about some little, insignificant thing. She's also the type of person who apparently feels the need to curse every three words; I honestly think she talks the way she does because she's under the impression that everyone finds it intimidating. Quite a few times I've actually pulled out my iPod and turned up the volume when she speaks just to drown out the sound of her voice; it annoys me that much.

This didn't bother me as much when I was younger, but nowadays I also hate it whenever people make annoying noises with their mouths or anything like that, mainly when the person happens to be a high school student. It also bothers me when people sit there and tap pens and pencils against their desks repeatedly. Apparently I've been having a more stressful year than I realized, because whenever anyone in any of my classes begins to do these things, I have the urge to throw books at them. xD

It also bothers me a lot when people speak incorrectly, if they do so very often. I particularly dislike when they use the phrase "I seen," for some reason. There are a lot more, but that one comes to mind at the moment. I don't know why this is exactly, but whether or not I like someone actually has a lot to do with their manner of speaking for me. I think my father's horrid grammar is actually what led me to begin talking like I do now (especially considering that he's basically the opposite of a role model to me in many ways).

Other than that, I don't have any particularly strange ones, although the sound of silverware on plates does bother me as well.

When I worked food services, one of the most annoying things to me was when people wpould order things that WERE NOT ON THE MENU!!! It was a Baja style mexican restaurant, so everyone assumed we had everything Taco Bell has (despite Taco Bell being Tex Mex, i.e., not genuine mexican food). They would order things that are a Trademark of Taco Bell!! You cannot get an Enchurrito ANYWHERE but Taco Bell b/c they own the rights to the name cause THEY MADE IT UP.

Forks or Knives scrapping across dishes. I immediately think on something scrapping against your teeth and it makes my mouth hurt just hearing it!
That or if you fork hits your teeth. UGH.

I'm a bit of a clean freak... like every time I go to the bathroom (even if its just to wiz) I MUST wash my hands...
and none of the other guys seem to wash their hands and it creeps me out and than I have to use a paper towel on the door handle cause I'm too grossed-out to touch it myself. D:

Well, okay, here's my list.

I hate it when people call other people's characters, or official characters of games, movies, books, etc. (But mostly games) Mary-Sues. >.> There's this one character that I truly love who a lot of people hate just because she's near the two most popular male characters. Honestly.

I hate it when people automatically group me in with the teenagers that I DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE! Honestly! I mean, I don't text like the wind, I don't say 'like' every second word (at least I think I don't... :sweat:), I don't want to be in sports or wear skimpy outfits! Me, I just want to be who I am.

Church... >.> I can't help it. I never went when I was younger, never grew up in it. I see people repenting for things on TV and I figure that I'd have to practically apologize for being myself. I'd have to be a glutton for punishment if I wanted to go to Church. And honestly, I don't think that I'll ever wind up going. Every time I go in one, I wind up freaking out. >.> But that's just me.

Boys who are being little pains in the.... butt. I wish I could smack them without getting in trouble.

Shows that make it look like every teenage girl has had sex and is a teen mother and pregnant. >.> I honestly am waiting for the day where someone asks me if I'm pregnant because I'm not a skinny girl. It seems that you're either skinny or pregnant. I seriously want to smack the makers of those shows, since not every teenager goes through this.

Being touched by bugs. I can't help it. I can stand blood, I think I can even stand guts to an extent. But bugs? Not unless admired from a distance of at least a few inches. Or a foot. If they come near me I backpedal almost instantaniously. I'm not even totally sure why... But I just hate bugs. Especially when they're climbing on me. Especially with bees. I just freak out and stand perfectly still if they've landed on me or are buzzing around me... :sweat:
