I got this game a couple of days before Christmas, and it didn't take me all that long to finish, so now I'm all ready to discuss it. Yay!

I played through, and until I was Queen, I had only been knocked out once, hey, that's great! Right? Well I'm not so sure. I remember that when I was playing Fable II, the game knocked me out far more often, and allowed me to sandbox more during the story.

This new one made the story so gripping that I couldn't bring myself to do unimportant side quests, just in case I endangered everyone. I guess that the gripping, (and slightly freaky) story was good, but I missed the old, very casual way of playing.

So, What do you think?

I searched Fable and nothing came up, so I hope this isn't a repeat thread.

Alright, it's about time I really say what I think about Fable III.

Firs things firs: I'm a huge Fable fan. I even bough the Collector's Edition of Fable III, I've finished Fable II three times and unlocked all three endings, and I played Fable until I had finished everything.

When I played Fable III, and after all the euphoria of having a new game passed, I realised some things:
  1. The story is just so short that you can finish it in two-three days maximum.
  2. Your whole cash goes into nothing after you become King/Queen to save the Kingdom.
  3. What happened to some of the cool jobs you had in Fable II?
  4. You can't do many things because you might mess up everything.
Personally, I had expected something more from Lionhead Studios. I did like some new stuff they implemented, just like the magic gauntlets and the weapons change thing, but I still think the real essence of Fable was left behind. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I still think something was missing in Fable III.
