Oh hello again Char! I'm hugely into Asian music! Mainly pop in the form of girl groups from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. But I like a few female japanese rock groups (SCANDAL & Stereopony). And I listen to one or two guy groups, plus some solo artists from different places.

I'm a fan of a lot of different genres, I think my top three though are classical ( or really anything using a classical instrument ) Techno and rock. I also have a fondness for foreign music but I don't really consider that a genre.

I would love to say that my favourite genre is Classical music but I don't consider that so (I don't seek ti out, I just enjoy it when I hear it).

There are so many music genres in this world. And i can't list them out.
I know the basic ones. Pop, Jazz, Classical, Country, Rock, & etc!

I love almost every genres except for songs related to heavy metal. :\ But I know some of you love them. And no hard feelings to you guys. :)

Anyways! From here, maybe you and I can learn new types of genres i never knew about! :D

There's actually a wide variety of metal (most people don't know that, they just assume it's all "loud nonsense"), it's not just heavy. ^^
I really enjoy Gothic Metal and Power Metal, myself. :D

I also really like Alternate Rock and Pop Punk.

I listen to mostly symphonic metal, like Nightwish and similar bands. My music probably isn't what you're thinking of as metal, though.

I listen to other genres as well, though.

I mostly listen to pop, and I absolutely adore Korean Pop. Surely, you've heard the rage going on about it?

&& Don't hate me for it, but I really only listen to mainstream music, because the songs are so friggin' catchy.

I mostly listen to Classic Rock, the beatles, carpenters, journey; but i really like pop music too, like katy perry and lady gaga, beyonce... brittney spears XD i really don't like metal all that much, it all really is just noise to me, and i love classical. I listen to anything that catches my fancy :)

Music I like is mostly rock or songs from the 80's or early 90's, but that definitely doesn't mean that I don't listen to other genres. Metal is fine with me, even though I don't listen to it that often, so is some catchy pop from time to time.

I feel like there are good bands and bad bands to ALL types of music so it's hard to pin down a "type" I also enjoy bands that have a large variety of influences so there in essence more then one genera. Like Mindless Self Indulgence there're pretty hard to put in a group, but it's a catchy funny rap metal techno beats... thing XD Or Emilie Autumn I guess she's like classical/ death metal/industrial techno/amazingness XD I also listen to more melodic metal like Children of Bodem (Nightwish is pretty good as well you have good taste Half-Blood Princess!) then when I'm not in a death metal loud and angry type mood I'll switch to more of classic punk type like Suicidal Authority Zero (which is like a punk rock reggae hippy mix) or just straight hippy like Jack Johnson and the Beatles, maybe a little celtic music in there XD Bagpipes FTW!!! Dropkick Murphies is an awesome irish punk band
Oh and my last genre is what my boyfriend likes to call "Angry Bitch music" XD which is basically any kind of angry music with a really strong female vocalist : Sneaker Pimps/ Porcelain and the Tramps/Otep
anyways like I said lots of variety is good XD
