The last thing Lir could remember was the sound of the wind as he fell back onto the bed that would become his prison. Just the rush of wind as he fell back, his hand reaching out towards the fading light as blackness rushed up and overtook his mind. What had he done to deserve to sleep for all eternity in the crumbling tower that was now his only home. That wretched woman and her spinning wheel. Even though he had heard all the stories, he still hadn't been satisfied until he found out for himself if they were true.

He had climbed the tower to find an old woman sitting all alone by a spinning wheel, humming to herself. Although he had been warned not to fall for the illusion he had forgotten when she had looked up at him. Not an old woman after all but a beautiful lady. He had overlooked the wicked glint in her eye and before he knew what had happened he had fallen into her trap and now lay on the bed.

How many years must have passed since the horrible spell had been placed on him? The stairs were covered in dust and no one had ventured into the tower in decades now. A fine layer of dust covered his handsome face as he lay there in dreamless sleep, waiting for some brave soul to break the spell and kiss him awake. How many men had come to the tower seeking out the fabled sleeping beauty only to find a man in place of the girl they had been seeking out?

Leon had been one after so many years went by, to chose to go after the beauty in the tower known as Sleeping Beauty since it was only around 2 centuries ago that the princess had went to sleep and faded from the world. There weren't many obsticles that the knights whom would try to rescue the beauty had to endure. A long dark forest you must find your way through, animals and prowlers on the loose ready to attack their prey, and some vines that covered an entire castle including the tower with thorns.

A long time ago a princess was locked away in a tower with long beautiful hair and only a dragon or some other obsticle would keep her from leaving. Snow White was a princess that lived with several dwarves in peace until she bit an apple and made her sleep until she was to be awoken by the same thing that could awaken any beauty under evil's intention or in other words an evil spell.

True Love's kiss could awaken anyone, it could heal the heart from all the lonely moments the princesses would suffer or feel. Most of the princesses didn't bother with other living beings very much, but, that is how they befriended animals and lived their lives. Soon enough Snow White was saved with a kiss, just as others had gotten to their future loves as well. While Leon was riding his horse to this castle he had heard of, he saw all the lovely flowers but realised that if he smelled one like the others around the tower would've done, he too would've been asleep as well.

'Sleeping Blossoms, interesting, those are very rare in any parts of the world now' Leon thought to himself, he wasn't fully in armor as you would think and was glad he hadn't been forced to slay another dragon like most of his hunting would require to pick up rewards. He didn't understand how one single man like him could take on such a huge task by himself while a larg sum of others would cower in fear and say they just didn't feel like caring about the reward.

Leon reached the end of the forest and got off of his horse as he tied 'Blazer' (the horse) to the tree which he hadn't known at all yet was a girl. Luckily she was a young horse and powerful, not many could tame her. Leon knew there were things in this world that could surprise him but he had yet to find another one since he was a child and came face to face with a dragon. That was long ago though, he moved over to the castle after petting Blazer to calm her down and looked all where he could, his best bet was to climb a tree high enough to reach it but realized that there was a way to the side of it that had only vines and no flowers.

Leon got ready and tried to find the spots to grip onto with less thorns and pushed them to the side slowly with his hands as he began climbing the best he could which was at a slow pace because his sword and armor were slowing him down. The sun was hidden behind some clouds that made it look dark and gloomy; soon enough the clouds passed over and were gone as the sun shown down placing light amongst and into the tower.

The inside of the tower was dusty and filled with cobwebs. Once one entered through the side door, they came upon a hallway. At the end was the start of the stairs. They spiraled up, seeming like there was no end to them. At the top of the tower was a door with a rose inlaid into the wood. It had a legend written on it, with thorns circling the words. "Here lies Sleeping Beauty, who shall sleep forever more until True Love's kiss is bestowed upon them. With a single kiss, the spell shall break, waking the fair one who waits in dreamless sleep."

The words themselves were free of the dust that covered everything else. The spell had taken care of that, so that any who made it to the top would know what waited for them inside. Inside the room was a beautiful bed, where sheer white curtains hung, hiding the beauty within. Although the floor had dust covering it, the bed itself was free of such things. A figure lay there with eyes closed and their hands folded on their chest. A window sat beside the bed, letting in light to illuminate the figure in the bed.

Leon stared in awe and had moved his way through the window the best he could but he had fallen from the window with a thump on the ground (inside) yet the unmoved beauty didn't even stir a bit. Moving his way to the bed after getting up, Leon parted the curtains enough to see the beauty with short dark hair (trying so hard to not yet give it away) with their eyes closed and looking peacefully. Leon smiled to himself inside and leaned in closer only seeing the beauty's face lips were now an inch apart...

Something must have shifted in the spell over the years because as soon as Leon was about to touch their lips together, Sleeping Beauty started to stir. It was if the spell had started to crumble when the man had tumbled through the window and right before his lips could meet, Lir opened his startling blue eyes. It took a moment for him to focus on the man in front of him and by that time it was too late to stop his forward motion and halt the kiss that was coming.

He had only had a glimpse of the man but from what he had seen, he was very handsome. He wondered for a brief second why he had awoken before the beautiful man in front of him had kissed him. Then all thoughts were swept away as their lips met and a jolt of electricity ran all over Lir's body.

When Leon looked down at the man after the jolting kiss, he realised that the man was already awake and this somehow embarassed him to some point. When Leon backed away almost stumbling slowly, he realised that the one in front of him wan't a beauty, well he was a beauty, just not in the 'Princess' sort of way.

When the man broke their kiss, Lir had to take a moment to catch his breath and focus in on his surroundings. Slowly he sat up, shaking his head to try and clear some of the electricity still racing through it. When he was finally able to focus, he realized the man had backed away from him. He frowned and looked at him.

Upon closer inspection, he came to the conclusion that he was more good looking than he had originally thought. Lir pushed himself off the bed and indulged himself by making a full body stretch. His muscles were quite stiff from having lain in one position for so long. He had a lean yet muscular body and was quite tall. He looked back to the stranger in front of him, sympathy showing in his eyes. "This must be quite a shock for you, seeing as I'm not a woman. However since it seems we are stuck with each other for the moment please let introduce myself. My name is Lir and you are?" He watched the man carefully to see what he would do next.

Leon stood up after a moment and recomposed himself, he was more of the adventuring type so this was new to him and recomposing himself was easier than you'd think. "Pleasure to meet you Lir, I am Prince Leon, though I don't go by prince much anymore" Leon didn't like being a prince so he asked his family if he could go off on his own, he had two younger sisters he lived with along with both mother and father. Mother was already having twins again it seemed, and he had a third baby brother already laid down for his nap during this time of the day.

It was almost afternoon as Leon began climbing, so it was shortly afterwards. Leon midnight meeting with emeralds which was hard to break the concentration but soon it was broken and Leon held out his hand. He wasn't too keen on shaking hands much with anyone, as he was more used to hugging others or just waving or smiling along with way. "So, you're the beauty of the tower everyone has tried to rescue for over 2 centuries" Leon spoke letting it all sink it.

"Aye, that I am." He suddenly shook his head. "Wait. Did you just say two centuries?!?" Surly it couldn't have been that long since he had been put under the spell by that horrible woman. He felt shock set in and stumbled, his hand automaticly reaching out to steady himself. However this meant that when reaching out to steady himself he found himself grabbing onto Leon's shoulder. Warmth instantly spread through his fingers from contact with the handsome man.

Lir looked up in astonishment and slowly took his hand away from the other man. "I-i'm sorry.." His words trailed off as his shocked mind struggled to cope with the fact that he had been asleep for two hundred years. He didn't know what he was going to do. The world would have changed drastically from when he had last known it. He would have to adjust to everything. He felt so...helpless. It wasn't a feeling he was comfortable with and he didn't like it at all.

He looked up into Leon's eyes, his blue eyes clouded with shock and confusion. There was something about the man that called out to him. He had always been attracted to both sexes but no one, man or woman, had ever made his heart beat so fast or made his blood run hot just from a touch or a look. He wondered if Leon had felt anything when they touched as well and if he had, what that would mean for both of them.

"Yes, at least two hundred years from how far back tales have gone. It's been told throughout my family for that long" Leon spoke and waited wondering what he thought, but, when he saw the other one stumble a bit leaning against him. He placed one around around his back to keep him up and turned a bit using his other hand to steady as well.

"It's alright, being asleep for that long can make anyone confused" Leon spoke and when Lir looked into Leon's eyes, Leon could see the confusion and shock hidden behind the blue eyes. Leon realised they were still in the tower as the sun was shining in basking them in it's glow, as the warmth of their bodies had touched for that breif moment, Leon still hadn't let go of Lir; he was making sure he was alright with standing on his own.

That and he for some reason didn't want to let go of him. Something was odd, Leon never had a care in a partner of either gender, he never thought about men that way but never liked women and how needy they always were. He wouldn't mind others, but, if he was forced to marry someone before he would've rather just go single the rest of his life. "Lir, are you alright?" Leon asked as he held the other man towards him looking to him.

Lir was grateful for the support Leon gave him. He could feel that strange heat burning through him as Leon held onto him. It wasn't an unpleasant feeling, he just hadn't been prepared for it. He closed his eyes for a moment as everything finally started to sink in. He opened them again when Leon asked him if he was ok. It was then that he became aware of just how close they were. The heat that had been swirling through his body instantly heated up.

When he focused his eyes, he found that Leon was looking at him with concern. He nodded slowly. "I-i think so. It's just a lot to take in all at once." He felt much steadier now than he had before but found himself reluctant to let go of Leon. It wasn't just the warmth that spread through him when they touched, but more that Leon truly looked concerned about him. He hadn't really experienced anyone really caring about his welfare in a long time. Even before the spell had been set, it had been quite a while. Most of the time they just wanted something from him, disregarding anything else other than getting what they wanted.

(Okie dokie, just wondering it helps with the story so I know how to look at the other one)

"We should head out, if you want to leave the tower that is" Leon spoke breaking the everlasting gaze and turning towards the tower's window. This time they could use the door but when Leon looked around he was confused. 'Where's the door?' he wondered to himself, 'a bed, walls, and windows is all that's in here' he thought once more and looked towards the window once more then back down at Lir. "Looks like we'll be going out the window, are you afraid of heights Lir?" Leon asked.

Lir glanced toward the window. He remembered climbing up the tower, but hadn't there been stairs and a door? He frowned slightly as he looked around the room for a door that just wasn't there anymore. I know there was a door here...that awful woman must have changed it after I passed out "No I'm not afraid of heights."

Since he was feeling much steadier, he let go of Leon and went over to the window to look out. The tower was very high but he could see the tree Leon must have climbed to get inside. He looked back at Leon. "Well no point in wasting any more time in this ruin. I"m ready if you are.". Without waiting foe a response he jumped up on the ledge and very carefully started to move from the tower to the tree, avoiding the flowers when he saw one. He remembered those very well. Finally he was able to shift all his weight onto the tree, free from tower at last. He waited to see if Leon needed any help getting down with all that armor on.

Leon had moved quickly yet not as easily as you'd expect out of the window and to the tree, with them both being on the same branch, the branch made an instant cracking sound throughout the area and it broke making them fall to the ground, Leon fell first and quickly out of instinct did his best to hold Lir close to him so he wouldn't get hurt, his leather armor wasn't silver thank goodness or it could've hurt really bad.

Leon opened his eyes after a moment and smiled "You okay?" with all the armor he wore, he couldn't feel too much pain unless it was really strong and hard enough to come close to puncturing the armor itself.

When Leon made it to the branch Lir was standing on, he felt relief for a brief moment until he heard the loud crack under their feet from the branch they were standing on. Their combined weight was just to much and Lir's eyes went wide as they started to fall. He found himself in Leon's arms when he had quickly pulled him in close at the sound of the braking branch.

They fell fast to the ground and Lir felt the jolt as they hit the ground. Thankfully Leon's armor had protected both of them even though it had been a rather hard impact. Lir had closed his eyes when they had started to fall but at the sound of Leon's voice he opened them and looked up at the man. He gave him a weak smile. "Well that was fun." Not being able to help himself he grinned and started laughing.

Leon did feel a little pain but that was nothing compared to what he had felt before. Leon smiled and laughed back then help Lir up as he got up himself. "Ready to see the outside world which has changed in two centuries?" Leon asked walking over to his horse Blazer and untied him, well it's a her but he didn't know yet. Leon smiled petting her nose/face and looking back at Lir "This is Blazer, he's so kind to others when around me, but he knows when to protect as well"

Lir took Leon's hand and stood up. He brushed the dust off his clothes and nodded. "Aye. I'm ready when you are." He walked over to where Leon's horse was. He smiled gently at the horse. "What a beautiful animal." He reached up slowly so he wouldn't alarm the horse and gently stroked it's neck. He had always loved horses and had spent lots of time riding before the spell. "Hello blazer, it's a pleasure."

"He seems to like you alot" Leon spoke and got on the horse holding his hand out for Leon to take. The sun above, the tower now behind them, and the wind gently blowing all around as soon the evening would come. (sorry didn't mean to make it so short) "Have you ever been on a horse before?"

Lir took Leon's offered hand and smoothly got up behind him on the horse. It was a beautiful afternoon and the breeze felt wonderful. He lightly put his hands on Leon's to help him keep his balance as they started to ride away from the tower. He nodded and then realized his mistake. Obviously Leon couldn't see him! "Actually before everything with the tower happened, I used to spend a lot of time on horseback. One of my greatest pleasures was to saddle up my favorite and just take off for a ride with no specific destination in mind. I'd let him go where he wanted unless it was going to be dangerous for us. I ended up seeing a lot of things most people don't get to see. It was really nice."

He fell silent and grew sad as the thought that his favorite horse was now gone. No horse lived 200 years. He quickly fell into the rhythm of Blaze's gait and became a little more relaxed.

Blaze was able to walk a couple miles away from the castle, to where it was no longer in view before she stepped and wanted to lie down. Leon looked down and slid off the horse, it had been almost night now, and Leon wasn't sure what was going on with Blaze. "Come, we'll camp here tonight" Leon spoke helping Lir down and then began taking the weight off of his horse. "Something isn't right with Blaze right now" Leon added stroking the nose of his horse.

Lir looked at Leon's horse with concern and helped him take the weight off of the horse. "Maybe Blaze just needs to rest. Carrying double can't be good for him." He looked around and started to gather some firewood. It was nice out but it was sure to get chilly in just a bit. Once he had enough he stacked it up and looked around for something to start it with. Not able to find anything he turned around to ask Leon if he had anything in his pack for a fire.

When he turned he hadn't realized that he had been so close to Leon and with a small bump he found himself almost in the man's arms once again. His breath caught for a moment and he flushed slightly. "Sorry about that. Didn't think I was so close!" He knew he should move back but for some reason found himself unable to. "D-do you have anything to start the fire with?" He could feel the warmth coming off of his skin they were so close.

(This might be a bit short, but, I am about to go to seventh hour and only have a couple minutes)

"Yea, I think I have flint" Leon spoke laying out a sleeping bag, he hadn't brought another one with him, thinking one would be fine even if he slept leaning against a tree sitting. Leon could feel it warmer between them and looked down "Are you alright?" He didn't want to pull away either but soon enough did and handed some flint to him from his bag. Blaze was laying down already asleep after eating some apples off the tree above.

Lir flushed again. "Y-yes I'm fine." He got to work making the fire and soon enough a warm blaze was coming from the wood he had found earlier. He looked over at Blaze and smiled. "Looks like your horse is comfortable." He sat in front of the fire and put his hands out to warm them a little bit. Fire had always fascinated him and he loved to watch it, the way it licked at the air and the way it looked as if it were dancing.

Lir made himself comfortable in front of the fire, watching Leon from the corner of his eye. He wondered if he would come sit by him or if he would keep his distance and sit across the fire. Surely Leon couldn't have missed the heat that had sprang up between them before but it was always a possibility that he hadn't noticed at all and that it was all Lir. Lir gave a sigh of contentment as he continued to watch the flames dance in the night air.

Leon sat things up to be ready for them later and sat down next to Lir by the fire very close to him. Leon remembered that body heat had been a way people would keep warm since bodies produced heat. The more people there were, the more heat, the less people the less heat. "Here" Leon spoke taking a tin blanket wrapping it around Lir, it was made of cotton fully and would keep him warmer than what he was. Leon wanted to hold Lir closer to keep him warm but for more of a reason he wouldn't say. He wouldn't push him away, he didn't know what or why, but, he was starting to feel as if there was something more to him.
