Missing 15 year old girl found, in the home of her boyfriends mother

I would post on the womans facebook page made to "help find Stephanie" and the website for the same thing. Other memebers and I CONSOLED this woman when she would post! I'm sickened by this woman AND her son who led police and Stephanies family to believe she *may* have been abducted and taken to Nevada. They even made a fake phone call to her boyfriend from Stephanie with a Las Vegas area code to make it more believable...:gonk:

I feel terrible now that I know what really happened. The facebook page has been taken down and the website left untouched since just after she was found. I can't help but think I helped her hide this girl by supporting her. :(

how exactly did you support her? Thats a terrible thing for her boyfriend and her m other to do

The facebook group and website were started by this woman and so was a donation site (that I did not donate to). Also, like I said, I gave this woman the emotional comfort she wanted enabling her desires. I feel so terrible :( The girl is even out of state now receiving counseling because of what happened.

i'm so sorry but you didn't know what she was doing so it's not your fault. people are very sick nowadays and it's easy to act innocent.

I don't think you should feel too horrible. When I read your title I thought that you were in on it and had helped hide the girl away, or something to that effect. It's unfortunate, but it's very easy to be lied to. You and many others were mislead by this woman, but that doesn't mean that you've done something bad.

you didn't know this, so don't blame yourself. That was wrong what the woman and the guy did though. But don't worry, God will forgive you for that :)

It's a horrible situation, and I can certainly understand being appalled to find that out.

However, what you did was kind and noble; you acted kindly and supportive to someone with a missing child. You had no way of knowing that the person wasn't actually what you expected, and that doesn't change your actions from good to bad. Nor should you feel like you should have known, and unless you are an accomplished psychologist, I'm pretty sure it would have been next to impossible to guess, and even then, I'm not certain.

Thank you guys I feel a lot better. I'm still really angry that the woman put the Cudd family through so much though and I hope she and here son, who is 14-15, will be repremanded by the law.
