Arianna sighed as she looked up at the sky. Close to sunset. Everyone would be hurrying home now, and she would have to soon. You never knew when the vampires would decide they needed a snack, and any human out after sunse was fair game.
She finished gathering her groceries, putting them in her bag before she paid and left the store, starting to walk home. The sun was just about to go down, staining the sky brilliant reds and pinks and oranges. She unlocked the door to her apartment and headed up the stairs, shutting the door behind her. She pushed her dark brown hair out of her face, green eyes bright as she looked around for her ferret.
Eric yawned and stretched as he woke up. He was old, so he usually woke up just before the sun set. He sat up in his bed, looking at the steel curtains over his windows that kept him protected during the day from the sunlight. He got out his clothes for the night and got dressed, stretching again briefly before settling into his normal six foot four stature. He brushed his blonde hair back and tied it with a strip of leather, settling into his leather pants and dark blue silk shirt. He pulled on his shoes and went to go to the bar he owned.

Lost in her thoughts, Elle was walking along the already lit up sidewalk barely acknowledging the fact that it was almost dark. She wasn't in much of a hurry to get to the dorm. At least getting snacked on by a vampire would throw some excitement into her monotonous life. All she did anymore was study, study, study. As much as she loved her parents, she really could do without their constant reminders of how she needed her education. She sighed and started to head home, deciding that it would be her luck the vampire didn't only want to snack on her, but wanted to kill her as well. Or worse, change her. She shuddered at the thought and upped her pace to a power walk. As she came upon the steps of her dorm building, she realized that it had become completely dark and she fumbled with her keys. She thought she felt a pair of eyes on her and she started to get a bit frightened. Once she found the right key, she shoved it into the hole, opened the door and clambered inside. Her heart was pounding furiously and she was smiling, 'Whew that was a close one.' She headed up to her dorm room and plopped on her bed, deciding that she would do no studying tonight.
As Jared awakened from the setting sun, he contemplated the dream he had been having. It was a messy combination of his memories from his human life. As a young vampire, he still felt human emotions and still had a few human experiences. His new vampire body could somehow tell that the sun had set, so he knew it was safe to open the windows that kept the deadly rays from entering his room during the day. He clicked a button on a remote that was on the nightstand and the steel that was covering his windows slid open with a whirring sound. He looked out at the night sky and started to long for the sun that he would never be able to see or feel again. He sighed and walked towards his wardrobe, picking out a t shirt and some jeans to throw on. He decided a walk would be good for him, and who knows, he might even find a snack while he's at it. He headed outside once he was fully dressed and started walking in no particular direction.
(Phew! That was alot to think up xD Hope I did okay, am a little rusty lol If I need to change anything or made any mistakes just let me know! :) )

Arianna managed to pick up her ferret and get it over to the bathtub for his weekly bath. That took several minutes of struggling and muted swearing; needless to say, the ferret did not enjoy being bathed.
After toweling them both dry, Arianna set Letiferos down and let him scamper off again. Then she took a quick shower and decided to see if anything interesting was on TV. Sometimes she wished her life weren't so boring.
Eric opened the bar for the night, letting in all the vampires who came for blood, fresh and bottled, and alcohol, as well as any humans stupid enough to come in. He had a dais in the back of the room against a wall, and his throne sat on the dais. He always sat there to watch over his bar, and tonight was no different. He looked out at the vampires around him, one golden eyebrow slightly cocked. By far, he was the oldest thing in the bar.

Elle woke up from a nightmare suddenly, breathing heavy and covered in sweat. She sat up and put her head in her hands and forced herself not to cry. She had been having the same nightmare for weeks now and she couldn't figure out why. She stood up and looked out her window, hoping the sun would be out already. She held back a curse and threw herself back on her bed. 'Stupid vampires. Can't even go have a nice midnight walk with them out and about.' Trying her best to think happy thoughts, she figured going back to sleep would be a good idea.
Jared sniffed around while walking, coming to a conclusion that there weren't any humans out and about. He sighed and headed in the direction of a vampire bar where he could at least attain some sort of sustenance. As he reached the bar, he could hear all the talking and clinking of glasses. Jared was a loner in his human life and that had not changed in his vampire life. He opened the door and headed for the bar. He requested some Type O blood and looked down in disgust as it was shoved toward him in a bottle. He would much rather have blood directly from a human but he decided that this would have to do. He stood up and moved to a dark corner, hoping to not draw any attention to himself.
(Your Eric reminds me of the Eric in True Blood xD)

((I actually came up with my Eric before the TrueBlood Eric, but they are kinda similar XD))
Arianna managed to sleep for a few hours before she got up again, still before sunrise, and started working on a story. She hadn't finished one yet, but she wanted to. One day she's finish a story and publish it, and then maybe she could move somewhere nicer, away from the city. Away from all the dangers of the city.
Eric looked at the newcomer curiously. He hadn't seen that one before. New in town, perhaps? Or just anti-social. He sure seemed to be leaning towards the second; he stayed in his corner, away from everyone else. Oh well. As long as the young one didn't cause problems, he wouldn't worry.

(I see! xD I think this RP may be giving me nightmares ;x I had a dream last night that I was fending off vampires with stakes made from chair legs o.O And they were trying to get into my house but couldn't -shivers- Just a tad scary xD)
Elle had finally managed to drift back off to sleep, only to be awoken by the sunrise and her obnoxious alarm. Grumbling incoherently, she slammed the alarm off and headed to the bathroom. Once done with her shower and getting dressed, she decided that she would have some fun today. She had no classes and all of her work was already done. Checking her purse to make sure her keys, holy water, garlic, cross and mace were in it, she concluded that everything was indeed in there and she headed out the door. She wasn't paranoid, she simply wanted to make sure that she was prepared, just in case. When the news had started reporting that the vampires had come out in the open, she had hopped on the Internet and Googled every bit of information she could on how to repel vampires. She wasn't exactly sure if any of the methods actually worked, but it couldn't hurt to be safe. While completely lost in thought, Elle had barely noticed that she reached the entrance of the mall that she was planning to raid. She had saved up all week from her crappy job at an old bar a few blocks from her dorm, and she planned to spend every dime of it! While she searched each store for cute clothes and good deals, she let her mind wander to her parents, who were a few states away from her. She had hoped desperately that they weren't having to deal with what she was and if she were to be completely honest, she was too scared to look up what was happening there. She hadn't heard from them in awhile but she had brushed it off as them being busy. She continued to shop and try on clothes for a couple more hours before she moved on to the library.
As the crowd in the bar had diminished greatly, Jared thought it safe to assume that the sun was beginning to rise and he definitely didn't want to be caught out in the sun. He laid some money down on the table and headed out, practically running to his house. Once there, he headed to his bedroom and watched the sun rise a little until it actually burned his eyes to watch. He pressed the button on his remote to close the steel covers on his window. Putting his hands behind his head, he stared up at the ceiling, waiting for sleep to consume him.

((O.O That's not good! I hope you don't have nightmares tonight))
Arianna got up and went to her job at the nearest vet's office, taking lunch with her. She usually brought her own lunch, although she would eat out on occasion.
At lunchtime, however, she decided to go out and get some air. She walked to the library, intending to check out a new book to read.
Eric closed the bar well before sunrise and made his way back to his house, shutting the front door. He moved down to the basement and stripped down to his boxers before getting into his large bed to fall asleep.

(I think it was just a one time thing, yay! xD)
Picking out an interesting looking book from the shelf, Elle read the summary on the back and decided that she might like it. Smiling to herself, she plopped down in a comfy armchair and began to read. The library was her home; the quiet atmosphere, book-y smell and cozy armchairs relaxed her instantly and she was convinced that nothing could ever go wrong. That's why she loved this place so, it always took her mind off of the worries and stress that now seemed to be all her life consisted of. She let her mind relax and almost forgot about the book in her hands. Sighing, she set the book down on the table in front of her and looked around. As her eyes passed the front door, she noticed a girl who looked to be around her age come through it. Elle wasn't a very sociable person so she quickly set her wandering eyes on something else, not wanting the girl to think she was staring at her. During her time here, she learned that staring at people in a small town such as this earned you whispers and glances in your direction, or just returning stares but instead of curious, they were rude. She had learned this the hard way and it wasn't fun. She couldn't blame them though, they had bloodthirsty murderers intruding their town. Who wouldn't be a little rude to strangers?
(Is it alright if we leave the vampires out for a few posts and perhaps let Elle and Arianna become friends or something? ;o)

((Oh yeah, that's fine by me. No worries ^^))
Arianna glanced at Elle quickly before looking away again. She wandered around the bookshop, just looking around for something fun and cute to read. She had enough darkness in the world without serious books, thanks.
Passing by Elle, she glanced at the book and smiled a little. "That's a good book," she said quietly. "I've read the whole series, and they're good. I love them. I still reread them on occasion."

(Great! ^^)
Elle blinked up at the girl who was apparently talking to her. Stunned that someone would actually approach her, it took a few minutes for her brain to process what was being said. She smiled, not wanting to look like she was stupid or something, and looked down at the book she had. "It does look pretty good, if only I could actually focus long enough to read it." She chuckled and stood up, holding out her hand. "I'm Elle, by the way, Elle Cathers."

"Arianna Meyer." Smiling, Arianna shook her hand. "Yeah, once you start reading them, those books suck you in. There's a new one coming out soon; I can't wait." She normally didn't talk to strangers, but Elle seemed okay. Besides, it would be nice to see someone else reading those boks. They weren't really popular, like some books or series became, but they were good nonetheless.

Elle smiled and nodded at Arianna. She was really nice and Elle liked her immediately. "I'll have to check them out and read them later, then. I can't seem to concentrate on much today." She laughed and went to the bookshelf, picking out the rest of the books in the series. She liked to get everything at once so she didn't have to make multiple trips back and forth. "I'm sure I'll enjoy them!"

Still smiling, Arianna picked out the next book in the series she was reading, going up front to pay for it. "Where are you headed? Maybe we can walk together for a bit."

"Where do you go to school? The university here?"
