Worlds away and Iridescent Cycle is about to begin .Now you must be asking yourself what exactly that is.It is an age of magic and wonder,a period of great change within a world.Major characters will decide the fate of their world for the next millennium,whether it be for the good or bad it is up to them.

This particular world is at the center of many others,so it has the strangest juxtapositions. Gun wielding fighters run by knights daily,magicians deal with scientists trying to disprove magic and electricity runs trough some houses while others are heated by fire and magic alone.A stone castle will sit near a modern hospital ,or an apartment might be sitting in the midst of a huge field with nothing but a dirt road leading to it.That is one thing ,there are no asphalt roads.Meadows stretch as far as the eye can see and the biggest cities hold a mere two thousand people.

"]Gladys stood alone amidst a crowd of people as she adjusted her white hat with her gloved hands. The woman's strange attire garnered many looks from passers by,but not too many.This was Kaleidoscope after all,a world full of wonders and contradictions. She began walking silently down the street,her sturdy leather heeled boots making a clicking sound on the cobbled streets.Consulting the leather bound book in her hand Gladys made her way towards the center of the town.There was supposed to be some kind of magic going on,a strong working. It possibly attract people with whom the young woman could travel with.

Elizabeth stood a few feet away from a fish stand tapping her foot rather inpatently. Both her arms were folded accross her chest, but didn't remain their for long as he hands shot for both hips. She was now visibly irritated and looked as if she wanted to kill whom ever she was waiting for.
"Jasper, we cant just stand here all dat drouling over fresh fish!" Elizabeth stated as he now began to tap her foot."I mean it Jaz!" She added a little more forceful. "You have Ten seconds now buy something or im draginng you away!" She nearly shouted and stamped her foot to the cobblestone floor.
"Just a seconds Lizz!" jasper said as he sniffed a salmon and poked a cod. "I have to find the pirfect fish!" he said his thin cat tail flicking lightly as if daring the woman to grab at it. "I'm almost done!" he added as his two cat ears twisted in the direction of Elizabeth.
"Thats what you said ten minuts ago!" Lizz said with a small graowl. She was clearly not enjoying waiting for the cat boy to find the pirfect fish! "Were going to miss the event!" She said this time taking a diffrent approch in her tone. "If we dont leave now their wont be ANY good seats left!" She added with a sweet voice. This didnt seem to work as the cay boy just kept scrutinizing dead fish. "THATS IT!!" Lizz Shreaked and snatched the boy up around the waist and hulled him off.
"NO THE FISH THE FISH!!" Jasper cried as he tried to wriggle free. It didnt work, the poor cat was just going to have to go with out. "LIZZZBETH YOUR SSSSSOOOOOOOOOO MEAN!!" He whined as he was finally set down on his feet.
"I told you to hurry up but you didnt!" Liz stated as she grabbed the boys wrist and pulled him along. "I gave you more than enough warnings!" She added as she flipped her brown hair from her eyes. "Now were going to the event and if your good ill buy you a stupid fish!" She stated and continued where a magic show was to be taken place. Jasper kep up pace with her as he was going to get a fish!

Kyle sat quietly in an open field waiting for someone to come on long for him to get a job from. He was a sharp shooter who nearly never missed, unless his target was fast enough to move out of the way. He commonly did bounty hunting or bodyguard work, but lately no one was hiring the you gunner. He heard of some magic thing going on and decided to go and check it out. He sat relatively to the back and waited quietly for the show or whatever it was supposed to be started.

Skye flew through the air as he looked behind him. There was no one around him yet he felt uneasy. Landing in a nearby tree he looked through the branches to where he would be heading next. As he sat there crouched down on his perch there was a whistling as a harpoon dart went wizzing passed him as it landed in the tree where his hand would have been had he not moved it."Darnit!" Skye cursed in his head as another dart came wizzing through the air. As he looked at one of the darts he could see that there was something coating the tips of it. No doubt it was some form of a tranquilizer. Skye had escaped from the estate of Lord Christopher's Estate. Lord Christopher owned the majority of the land, and essentially Skye had been his bird in a cage so to say. Skye leaped into the air as he beat his powerful black colored wings as he took off towards the nearby city. He heard that there was some sort of magic thing going on there and hopefully he would be able to blend in there and finally be rid of the bounty hunter that would drag him back to the estate manor where he would be under lock and key for the rest of his life.

Gladys arrived just as the mages began their elemental magic.It was a demonstration of the crowns most powerful magic users. Quietly she went to sit in the very back of the outside amphitheater, and ended up beside a gun wielding young man. Shifting her rose patterned gown so she could sit more comfortably, Gladys looked at him curiously. " It isn't every day you see a gunsman watching a magical display. My name is Gladys ,an Ice Mage, I am currently looking for companions who are interested in traveling. Actually we would go around trying to complete quests in order to gain magical artifacts. Would that interest you?" Gladys regarded the man quietly, not really paying attention to the phoenix the mages had created with fire and wind for the entertainment of the audience.

Windy trudged slowly through the packed streets of Kaleidoscope, digging in her pockets trying to find some change to buy food. All she ever found was a quarter, a nickel, illegal foreign money and ABC gum wrapped up in a Dum Dum wrapper. Windy was very short for her age and people often mistook her as a middle schooler. The woman didn't mind though, that way she could get free food and clothing from strangers who took pity in her. But since she's in Kaliedoscope, people seem to don't really care for the poor. Then, she heard her stomach growl so loud that the whole city could've heard it. "Shut up, stomach." Windy whispered like het stomach could really talk and hear things like a normal being should. I need a job. the short woman thought as she looked at the displays of food.

Soon Windy saw a big building saying something about elemental mages, then she remembered that there was a contest and she had a ticket. She quickly ran inside the building bumpig into a couple of people who cursed at her under thier breath. As soon as Windy went in she went a random seat and happened to be sitting right next to a woman wearing fancy clothing. Windy didn't care really all she wanted to see was the contest. She saved up a whole years worth of money to get a ticket. She's not going to waste it.

Elizabeth dragged Jasper along behind her though as some point it became Jasper leading the way and Liz being dragged.
"Hurry up LIZ!!" jasper groaned as she started to run. "I smell Fish!!" He stated excitedly. Hereing this Elizabeth gave a loud groan.
"Not this again!" She whined as he led her into the ampithetor and to a fried fish vendor.
"Two please!" the cat boy purred happily as he pulled out his coin purse and opened it up.
"That will be 9.50" the vender said happly. In responce Jasper pulled out a hand full of paper bills and coins. Fumbling a little he managed to give the vender 8.40.
"Uh.... Liz-beth!" jasper said looking up with sad eyes.
"Oh for heavens sake!" Elizabeth stated and grabbed the money from the vendr only to replace it with a 10.00 paper bill. "Lets go!" She stated pulling the happy kitty away once he recived his fish. "Now thanks to you weve miss the best part!" She stated as they entered the airea to see a show of fire and water magic.
"what a bunch of show offs!" Jasper stated his mouth full of fish.
"Yeah, what a waist!" Liz said heaving a heavy sigh. She stood off to the side of the door both hands on her hips while jasper as crouched down at her feet enjoying his fish. The elvin woman didnt seem the least bit interesed in the sow as she scaned the spectators.

Demonica flew over the city going to the event knowing that she was missing most of it. Her large hot pink and black wings flapped the little girl in the air, her red eyes shined in the light, her clothes were something a normal person wouldn't wear, but then again Demonica wasn't human, well fully human. Her horns curved at the sides of her had with dark purple riddons on them as if they were ponytails. But lucky she makes it and lands quickly in a chair and watched in amazment. Smiling with delight, this was Demonica's first time coming to an event like this by herself without her parents. She smiled as the phoenix vanished. Demonica's eyes shined with happiness as she smiled happily.

Kyle looked up. "Hmm... Why not? I'm Kyle, resident gunner. I'd be glad to help you're look for.... what is it you're looking exactly?" he asked. "As for what I'm doing here, my friend got me tickets and I decided what the hell!" he said, wth a smile.

Laughing Gladys couldn't help but like the man for his exuberance." Rare magical artifacts, I collect them you see. I prefer finding them myself, but with only my skill set it is very difficult to complete all the quests." As she spoke Gladys moved her hands dramatically accidentally dropping her book into the lap of a young woman witting beside her.

The woman turned quickly to apologize her hair long unbound hair flying wild." I apologize for being so rude! There must be some way I can repay you for such an act." Her face was filled with vexation as she quickly removed th offending object from the woman's lap. The book was magically enchanted to list all the quests yet to be completed in the land. Without it, Gladys would never have been able to find all the objects she wanted.

"Ah... I see." Kyle said, now oblivious to the show. When Gladys dropped the book he simply looked over at the girl. "SO you need a group of people to help you where you cannot do it alone. Ok I'm in."

Windy looked at the woman in confusion and noticed she was taking a book away from her lap. Oh, she accidentally dropped a book on me... Windy thought as she slowly returned back to reality. The short woman looked at the woman who was apologizing her and smiled, "Oh, it's fine. You don't have to repay me back anything." Windy took out her hand, "I'm Windy Lancaster by the way." then the show of the fire and water act ended and then came out the Ice and another Fire act. Yay, my favorite! Windy thought and she noticed the man who was talking to the well-dressed girl staring at her. "Er hi."

"Oh, I'm sorry was I staring? HOw rude of me. I'm Kyle."

Elizabeth watched as a small winged figuar found its spot among the crowd, though she went back to watching a small grup of people near her. They seemed to be getting well aquanted with echother in such an odd way. a rather well dressed girl had just struck up conversation with a young man and then the girl dropped her book onto another girl. Seeing this made Liz snort a laugh.
"Her name is Gladys, And the guy is Kyle." Jasper stated with a yawn. "the other girl is named Windy!" he added as he stood up and streched.
"Good boy!" Liz said and ruffled the cats ears. He have a low grawl before moving away from being petted rughly. "Oh im sorry jazz!" Liz said and pulled him in for hug and a light petting. "is that better kitty?" She asked with a smile.
"NNNNNN LET GOOOOOO!" Jaz whined pulling away only to be let go so he may stumble into the seated people. With a stumble and a slide the boy managed to stop at the feet of Gladys and Kyle. "Owey!" he whined in a crumpled mess. "Help me please." He asked holding out his hands as far as he could so that some one could hoist him to his feet.
"Oh me, Oh My Jasper you silly boy!" Elizabeth stated as she casually walked to where her friend had managed to rest. "You should watch your feet, You know how bad your balance is!" She said giving the boy a rather cruel smile. In return jasper glaired a glar that implied he was going to get the Woman back.

Windy shook her head at Kyle, "Oh, no, you weren't being rude I was the one being rude." she smiled at him and then noticed the fire being froze up by the ice but the flames were still moving inside it. The act made Windy's eyes sparkle in wonder and amazement as she saw the flame break free from the ice. Then all of a sudden a man with cat ears landed right in front of the fancy clothed woman and then an older woman popped right next to him. Windy snapped out of amazement and focused all of her attention towards the strange duo. "Er hello."

Skye managed to find a seat far in the back. He was lucky that he found a seat at all with the whole place being so crowded. He looked up when he heard the crowd gasp out in amazement. The magic that they were presenting was truly awe inspiring and it made Skye smile as he sat down towards the back near a group of people that were chatting adamantly with one another. He heard tiny snippets of what was being said and decided that he would get closer. He saw that there was someone dressed in red that had pistols at their side a woman with someone with cat ears, a woman in fancy clothing and another one that looked like she had wings like him. He managed to make his way closer and ended up sitting at the edge of the chatting circle.

He turned his body so that he was facing the group and said"I don't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard something about someone needing help searching for something. I'd be willing to help if my assistance is wanted." "Anything would be better than running away from hired guns of Christopher," he added to himself.

Lapsing to silence as more people came to join the little group Gladys smiled when the dark winged man appeared and asked his question. "Magical items, they're scattered all around this world and whomever holds the most of them will decide what direction Kaleidoscope will take in the next millennium. To gain each item you must go trough a quest, each quest needs specific skills. I only have a certain ability with ice magic, and some general spells, for this reason I am searching out companions to aid me with my self imposed task. Kyle here," Gladys pointed to the red head, "has already accepted. If any of you would like to join me, I will gladly accept your aid. For those of you who know not my name, it is Gladys."

The woman waited for everyone to answer her long winded speech. She fidgeted with her gloves, stretching each finger in turn before jamming her hands back into the right spots. Gladys knew there would be other such groups already searching, made up of strong people with extraordinary skills. Already they had usurped items from the young woman, snatching them up right before her eyes.

Elizabeth smiled wide, she had herd of what Gladys said, though she never really gave much thought into actually going out and finding rair items. So she was in, and so was her poor angry pet Jasper. reaching down the Woman grabbed the boy by his shirt and hoisted him to his feet.
"I would be more than glad to join you!" Jasper said and seated himself properly between Gladys and Kyle. "Just keep HER, Away from me!" He stated pointing to his old friend.
"ME!?" Elizabeth questioned as she confertablu seated herself besid Gladys. "I was the one who saved your life, and for nothing in return!" She said before turning to Gladys and holding her hand out, "I am Elizabeth, And that grumpy kitty is Jasper!" She said with a smile. Jasper only huffed a little before bringing both knees up to his chest and hugged them.

Demonica started to enjoy the event then noticed a group of people talking. She knew that she wasn't allowed to talk to strangers, but they were fascinating because of the fact that one of them were part cat and most of them were human. Standing up from her sit, Demonica opened her wings and flew over to the group of people, "Hi, um, sorry for inturding but I was just wondering, what are you doing?" she asked folding her wings and swaying her tail happily. Her red eyes stared at the group of people, hoping that her appearance wouldn't scare them off.

Elizabeth was a little befuddled at the sudden appearance of a demonic creature, though her confusion changed once she could see that the creature was indeed very cute. "Were becoming more acquainted with each other!" Liz said with a kind smile as she pushed a few pics of her hair behind one of her pointed ears. "We may even be going on an adventure!" She added slight excitement chiming her voice. Jasper looked up at the demonic girl and found himself excited. he wasn't the only person with odd appendages! A wide smile spread across the boys face and he hoped dearly that the girl would join them.

Not able to help herself Gladys reached out to pet Jasper gently as she spoke. "You're all welcome to join me. The more of us there are, the better our journey will be." These new arrivals where a surprise but a welcome one. Maybe she would be able to finish her task with more ease then she'd first thought. Turning to address Jasper directly she smiled. "You do not seem to be a child and yet you act like one...Is this because you want to have your way more easily?" She thought the young man was adorable, and wanted to steal him away somewhere.

Kyle looked at all the new comers. A hawk guy, a cat boy, a demon chick and an elf woman. "Hey if you keep on inviting people this small group is going to turn out to be a garrison. Also we should probably either settle down or get out of here to talk. people are starting to get annoyed." he said, as he looked up at the mages, many of which were distracted from the show because of the oddities occurring up front.

Jaspers smile grew bigger as he was being petted. He loved attention as, long as it was good attention. The petting caused the boy to lean closer to Gladys and purr a little. Though he stopped momentarily to think about what the woman was saying.
"I act like a kid!?" he asked an looked up with big eyes and a quivering lip. "Does it bother you!?" HE asked again still with the same face.
"Don't fall for it darling," Elizabeth said and leaned forward as she spoke. "Hes stealing your money as we speak!" She added and flicked jasper in the nose. The boy backed off of Gladys and grasped at his nose at the red heard man spoke. "Yes I do agree, we wouldn't want to make enemies out of strong warriors!" Liz said and stood up. "Jasper play nice and give it back!" She added before stepping out into the ial way and waited for her new friends. Jasper scowled at Elizabeth for a long moment before thrusting his hand forward and opening to reveal a ruby.
"I'm sorry!" he stated in a moody voice to Gladys as he scowled at Elizabeth.
