Hey guys I've been wondering this lately. Is showing a lot of skin on your avi a bad thing? I know a lot of you cover up everything with a bunch of layers. I've never seen a lot of just simple simple avi's around here. Does showing skin look like your avi is unfinished?

no actually some of the best avi's I have seen have been the ones without much clothing at all. One member (dystopia) makes gorgeous nakkie avatars.

I personally think it depends on how it's done. With the right backrounds and accessories, being completely naked can work, but at the same time, it can look unfinished. It really depends on how it's done. I show quite a bit of skin sometimes, but I'm losing that habit slowly as I hang out here more, haha.

Skin is not bad at all. You make nice simple avatars with a lot of skin. Dystopia is one of my favorite naked members. :) Naked avatars are fun to make. :D

I like making avis that show a lot of skin, because I'm not a fan of clutter :)

Love to layer! Lol because all of the colors I have something new to see on the avis that do layer with many colors. Also, when I see an avi that shows a lot of skin. It doesn't catch my attention long enough. But nothing wrong in showing avi skin :D

I remember asking someone this a long time ago and I think it's better to have more layers if you are trying to win a featured avatar or what not but otherwise, I love having skin show. I rarely am totally covered myself. xD

but then again my goal is to make epic avis while running around bare chested

Although my avatars are usually covered up, I don't mind avis showing a lot of skin at all. In fact, just like disturbed66, I think showing skin is hot :D

I think it comes down on what you're trying to achieve, and how well you're able to 'show skin'. :)

My avatar generally always have some kind of belly skin showing. xD That, or some kind of short skirt. I don't like pants on my avatars.

Hahah totally true! I was thinking the same thing lol.

I think that showing lots of does make an avatar look less complete. But when it is worked well and there is an even balance, skin can look really good on the avatars.
