Andrew saw that Lena was heading down the hall towards the bedrooms and thought that she was just going to get Stella, he turned into his lab and looked over his notes again. He read through and said "I will have to see Alice again tomorrow", he closed the file and then put it on his desk and picked up his mug and walked out of his lab locking it and then headed into the break room to wash it and wash it and put it away. When he entered the break room he saw Cassie and said "Hello again Cassie", he smiled and then walked over to the sink to wash his mug.

Dexter finished some paperwork and put the files away.

Alice was still asleep with the one image going through her mind, Andrew's smile that was it and then his last words all she wanted to do was wake up right now.

Lena quietly entered Alice’s room. One look at the girl and she knew that Andrew had tranquilized her. There was no helping that now. She went over to Alice and positioned her so she could carry her on her back. After a few failed attempts she got Alice on her back and left the room. She hurried back towards the break room with the unconscious girl.

Stella stared around her in awe. She had never been out of the hospital. “It’s so big,” she whispered as she looked at the sky.

Ciaran paced in his lab. The strange events of the day just wouldn’t leave his mind. Out of frustration he punched the wall beside him, cutting open his hand. He licked the blood off his knuckles before grabbing a cloth to wrap his hand in. As he went over to the sink he made up his mind. He was going to make Lena tell him what was going on. She would know because she is well liked by most of the staff and patients as well.

He finished cleaing his mug and put it back then turned and walked out of the break room and headed back to his lab, once in his lab he sat at his desk and went over the file deciding what sense he would eliminate next. He looked at the clock on the wall and knew that the tranquilier would be wearing off soon then he would hear if his experiment worked or not.

Alice groaned a little, as she started to wake up she didn't open her eyes but she could tell that she wasn't in her bed but was on someone's back.

Just as Lena disappeared with Alice on her back into the break room Ciaran turned up the hall to go to knock on Lena’s office door. Gently she sat Alice in a chair so she could go over and make sure the door was locked. She then proceeded to gather up some of the food she had in the break room. It would have to do them until she could go shopping. “Alright Alice let’s get out of here too,” she whispered as she brushed some hair that had fallen into the girl’s face back. Then she picked the girl up and left to go meet the others.

Ciaran made sure none of the other doctors were around as he headed towards Lena’s office. He knocked quietly on the door. “Hey Lena…can we talk? I’m sorry about bothering you earlier. I really just want to help you.” His voice was gentler than usual. It was the tone that he only used when he talked to Lena alone.

When Alice heard Lena's voice she slowly opened her eyes which were now grey and misty then said "Lena?", she could feel a slight breeze but she couldn't see where they were.

Lena looked back slightly. “Yes, it’s me Alice. You awake now?” She didn’t stop moving since they were half way to the woods.

Alice was glad to know that it was Lena and then said "I think I am, but I can't see anything", she held onto Lena tighter.

What Alice said stopped Lena in her tracks, but just for a moment. “It’s probably just a side effect of the experiment that Andrew did.” She sounded confident as she spoke, but she wasn’t so sure she was right. “We’re almost to the others. Then we’ll be long gone from this horrid place,” she said walking again. It didn’t take long and they were with the others. Gently she lowered Alice to the ground.

Ciaran knocked again louder on the door. “Lena please don’t be mad at me. I’m just having a bad day.” He let out a sigh and a slight grumble. It annoyed him that she was forcing him to show his softer side out in the hall like this where one of the other doctors could see.


"Lena! Alice!" Stella shouted when she seen them come towards them.

When Lena said that it was just a side effect Alice sihed and said "I hope so", when she heard someone shout her name Alice smiled and said "Stella?" she could't really make out who was talking to her and not being abble to see them made it even harder. When she felt the ground under her feet she let go of Lena and said "Who else is here?", she looked at where the voice from before came from and stood where she was not wanting to bump into anyone.

Alec and Layla looked over at Alice and smiled. "Kelsey, Layla, and I are also here." Alec replied to Alice's question.

Dexter walked out of his office and started to walk down the hall.

Alice heard Alec answered she looked towards his voice and said "What about Cassie? Where is she?".

Lena sat down the bags she was carrying. She looked around to see if any of the security guards were around.

"Cassie stayed in the hospital. She isn't coming with us." Stella told Alice.

Alice looked back at where Stella's voice came from and then said "Why not, we can't just let her stay there" she turned around and stepped forward right into a tree branch. She stepped back rubbing her head saying "We have to get her out".

"Same with Dexter. He told me that Layla and I should stay with you for a bit. He is going to come for us later." Alec said calmly.

Stella stepped over to Alice and took her hand. "Are you ok?" Inside her head Crystal was starting to talk to her. That doctor did this to her. He should pay for what he has done. We can't let him or any of the others get away with this.

Lena shook her head slightly. "No, Cassie chose to stay behind. She'll join us later I'm sure. So for now let's just get out of her safely." She looked over at Alec. "Did Dexter tell you two where to meet him or are you with me until he contacts us?"

Alice felt Stella take her hand and said "Yea, I'm fine I just can't see" she smiled then said "Hopefully it is just a side effect", she looked forward and said "I hope she does, but where are we going to go?"

"He gave me a cell phone, so he could contact us." Alec replied. "He also gave me directions to his house, just in case you would want to hide there for a bit."

Stella held tight to Alice’s hand. “I hope so. I’m also sure that Cassie will be fine. She knows what she is doing.”

Lena smiled a little. “Good. Sounds like Dexter had some of this well thought out. First we’ll head over to my place just to get things that we’ll need. It won’t be safe to stay their long because it’ll be one of the first places they’ll look for us.” She took out her cell phone and sent Dexter a coded text to let them know they got out safely. Shoving her phone back into her pocket she picked the two bags she had sat down back up. “Alright guys stick close together. It isn’t far to the side street. I’ll lead you there, but you’ll have to wait for me there while I get my car.”

Ciaran pounded on Lena’s door. “Darn it. Come on Lena. I really am sorry, please let me in. I want to talk with you and I really want to help you with whatever kind of problem you’re having right now. Seriously if Jason is harassing you again tell me.” His voice had started off loud and angry, but it grew softer into more of a plea as he talked through the glass. He still hadn’t realized Lena wasn’t in her office anymore. When there still wasn’t a response he rested his head against the door, a slight smirk on his face. “Hee, I guess this is what I get for the way I treat you sometimes,” he said softly, almost a whisper.

Alice pulled Stella into a hug when she held her hand tighter then said "Hey, can you make sure I don't walk into anymore trees?" she giggled a little and then stopped hugging Stella. Then said "What way are we going?" she smiled.

Stella hugged Alice back and giggled. "I'll help you stay safe and not run into anything else." She tugged gently on Alice's hand as Lena started to lead them.

"We are going to be going to your right Alice. Stella will guide you and I'm sure the others will help you too if you need it." Lena started to lead the way deeper into the woods. She was glad that they had plenty of cover so that no one would see them.

Alice started to follow as Stella tugged on her hand and smiled, she was glad to be getting away but was a little sad that Cassie wasn't there.

Dexter got the text and smirked when he saw it. Then, he went into his lab to prepare some needles.

"Of course. He always have things well planned out. He is just good like that." Alec replied with a smile.

"Of course, we will help Alice. We are family now." Layla said with a smile.
