So, here's some more Lady Gaga, guys. Yet another brand new single...horrible again in my opinion. Yes....even worse than Born This Way as far as I'm concerned. Okay...that's a lie...it might be slightly better than the last one.

Here you go:

Opinionize.

Also...the lyrics...

Quote:
Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Judas! Juda-as Judas! Juda-as
Judas! Juda-as Judas! GAGA

[Lady Gaga - Verse 1]
When he comes to me, I am ready
I’ll wash his feet with my hair if he needs
Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain
Even after three times, he betrays me

I’ll bring him down, bring him down, down
A king with no crown, king with no crown

[Chorus]

I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby
I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Judas! Juda-as Judas! Juda-as
Judas! Juda-as Judas! GAGA

[Lady Gaga - Verse 2]
I couldn’t love a man so purely
Even darkness forgave his crooked way
I’ve learned love is like a brick you can
Build a house or sink a dead body
I’ll bring him down, bring him down, down
A king with no crown, king with no crown

[Chorus]
I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby
I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

[Bridge]
In the most Biblical sense,
I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense
I just speak in future tense
Judas kiss me if offenced,
Or wear an ear condom next time

I wanna love you,
But something’s pulling me away from you
Jesus is my virtue,
And Judas is the demon I cling to
I cling to

[Chorus]
I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby
I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Judas! Juda-as Judas! Juda-as
Judas! Juda-as Judas! GAGA

I actually really like 'Born This Way'. However, Gaga is very hit and miss with me. Some of her songs I love, others I really can't stand. 'Judas' happens to be one of the songs that I really can't stand. :/

I think Born This Way's video bothered me more than the song...every time I hear the song I now see Gaga giving birth to a machine gun...XD But I also hate the lyrics for the most part.

Also, this song...it's like...is she really trying to make a religious reference? /fail

The only thing I remotely like about this one is the background beat. And I've heard far better. I wonder if she did this one for shock value considering the upcoming holiday though.. hmm.

It always saddens me to hear anything released by Germanotta while she's Lady Gaga. She's such an excellent pianist/singer . . . it's a shame she's wasting herself on derivative pop songs. The verses sound very much like Santigold and the chorus, well, that just makes me think of Japanese Parapara music.

This seems particularly odd . . . it's like pop, eurobeat and dubstep had some sort of weird love-child.
Not to mention the lyrics are trying far too hard.

That's one thing that really makes me sad. I mean she's got great talent in other places, far better than her pop singing. And she's shown it before. Does she ever use it whenever she's in an album? Noooooo. And that's really sad.

Yeah, I don't get why she doesn't use her talents like she should be. But then again her whole thing is just to market herself and her people do a great job of that.

Good music isn't what is in style right now. Right now shitty music that's auto-tuned is in style which I really do not get.

Am I the only person who's totally over Gaga? Her previous stuff was pretty good, the new shit? Is exactly that, shit.

I'm getting there. She just continuously disappoints me. If the rest of her album is this way, I'll be utterly done with her.

I agree with that pretty much. I mean now it just seems like the people marketing her and trying too hard for "shock value" and she's losing a lot of fans. I know some people that were die hard Lady Gaga fans that can't stand her now because of how she is now and how her music just went downhill.

I agree that she does not use her talents in her music at all. She is talented but the crap that she puts on her record is just disappointing.

It's actually really catchy - which I did not expect, from all your comments. And for some reason, I'm still not over Gaga. There's something about her music that makes me want to sing along, and that will always win over it's actual quality for me. I know my taste isn't great, but ah well...

A song made to stir up Easter really needed a video? Whooo boy, really I haven't had "what the hell am I looking at" moments in a music video since Body Rolls. At least I liked the intro to Born this Way, this is just trying to make a ruckus and it's blatant at it.... and honestly, although the symbolism is unusually introduced, it's not as creative as her past videos at all.

Wow. I foresee this one being a very... controversial video. Pretty much everything PW said above me. I can't watch the actual video from it being in Germany. So I wanted the Ellen show performance and.. wow.

@Carzee: Nah. You don't have bad taste in music, you're entitled to think her stuff is catchy, which it is as far as I'm concerned. I just think this new stuff is bad...not anywhere near the level of Bad Romance, Paparazzi, Just Dance, and all that good stuff.

I'm beginning to admit that Born This Way is growing on me, though. :ninja: Judas isn't too bad, but Gaga is trying to claim it's not a bible basher...which it so is. I don't care what she says. Even if it doesn't mean that to her, most of the world sees it for something other than what she wants it to be.

@PW: Yeah. This is really unoriginal. At least Born This Way's video made you go "WTF!!!!????" This one is like: "Ooookay. Bored. *clicks off to watch Justin Beiber's 'Baby' instead*"

@Tijdon: I saw that performance on Ellen live. :) That girl lip syncs a lot these days, and I remember seeing her first ever performance on Ellen...it was "Just Dance." It was so much better back then when she wasn't completely trying to be a sell out. Besides that, trust me. You aren't missing anything awesome from that video.

Yeah, but just reading the lyrics itself. I can see how it isn't trying to be a bible basher but, shit. That is carefully reading the text and trying to understand a meaning behind it other then so, which what does most of society do? First come first serve on the understanding.

Am I the only one who's reminded of Madonna's Like a Prayer? Both songs with heavy religious themes that were, IIRC, about very involved romantic relationships.

Ummm I actually like lady gaga and i am offended that you are posting negative things about her. Maybe you should keep your negative comments to yourself. Just my opinon though.

I'm just going to keep this short, so that the topic isn't derailed completely: On the Internet, there are opinons. Negative comments are opinions. If you expect every single person who posts in a thread about Gaga to worship Gaga's music (note, we haven't said anything about the physical person Lady Gaga, just her music) forever, you are out of luck.

I concur. I kinda felt like I was listening to Madona during the video really. She's taken a very Madona-like style moreso than usual lately. Someone can argue "Oh, it's just a mix between Bad Romance and Paparazzi," but the spin just screams it.

@kittykondos: I agree with Project. We haven't said anything about Gaga herself. Even if we were saying negative things about her person, it's still just an opinion until somebody starts threatening to kill her.

@Bartuc: Yup. That's the problem for sure. To anyone who isn't extremely educated about the bible, it would appear to be a bible basher.

@Everyone: She does sound like Madonna lately. Especially Born This Way. It makes me feel like she's run out of originality/is afraid of failing. You know, the sophomore slump thing? I do consider this only her second album. The album with Bad Romance on it was more of an EP to me...

I actually like some of Lady Gaga's music but that doesn't mean I have to like all of it. I also do not have to agree with what she does as an artist 100% of the time. I'm the same way with any other artist who's music I like. Don't take things personally. =P

Her wording is weird and does make the song seem like it's bashing the Bible at a quick listen. To anyone who's never read the Bible, I can also see where they would automatically think it's an anti-relgious song or something that's mocking religion even.

As for her being in a slump, I was thinking along the lines of her being overworked or something like that. It seems to me that she's just overwhelmed with everything since she's like all over the place all of the time. It seems like she just did not put as much effort into new songs and just came out with new material just to have something new out. Woman needs to go hide underground for a bit and take some time for herself or something.

:D No. You must be new here. Frankly, it's the internet. It's not serious business. And just because you like an artist/celebrity doesn't mean everyone has to like them either. Either as an artist or a person, there are people out there who just simply will not like her, and those people shouldn't need to tiptoe around you just because you like her. That's selfish, and not productive at all. And if things like this offend you, stop reading my post right now, because I'm about to input my negative opinion.

This new song of hers, and every other new song, like some people have said, she's taking a Madonna approach, and I get the feeling if she keeps up she's going to lose quite a few fans. No one likes a copycat.
