Town/City Names - Gym Types:
Blulily Town - Water
Pinkactus City - Normal
Rosalvia City - Fire
Iveen Town - Grass
Violdra City - Dragon
Greseed Town - Starter Town

Okay then. So we start planning. At the moment I'm typing all the cities and towns down in Notepad (waste of time or not). Could be proven helpful to figure out the new town names without repeats or too many similarities. All the towns/cities also had some characteristics about them that also kind of went with the name that was chosen as well... Like the first towns were based on new beginnings somehow. Pallet town, like the painting tool, was used to mix together with the colour named towns/cities...

You've already pointed out that there are sometimes themes for the town and city names.
Is there one in particular that you'd be interested in? O: I'm drawing a total blank.

So far we've had colours, colours with an added word and random, nature related, more so spiritual than elemental with random...
I know we'll need at least nine names to start off with including the first town... Everything else like caves, bridges, routes, etc could be worked on later.
Some species of Pokemon should be more rare in some places than others as well or not there at all... Should have some way for people to obtain the ones they want though...
Villian... Seems a lot of the team names were based on science one way or another. Rocket, Galactic, Plasma... Volcano and ocean-based...
Gym types... Another thing to come after the town names. According to Kanto anyway. Colours that matched type in some way. Might be doing something similar there, too... Who knows.

So much to decide on~

I have no objections to using different colors, if you don't mind. Or types of flowers?

As for the Villain team... What do you think of Team Atomic? Or we could just re-use Team Rocket. > >;

Could do that or combine parts of the names as well to create a "new" word. (I.E. Fortree = combination of 'fort' and 'tree' which is also what it looks like. :P). Or even compound the words. (I.E. Blackthorn, Snowpoint, etc.)
Both colours and flowers could work together. Like... Blulily Town... Er... Looks weird, but most of them do anyway. :P Here's another one. Pinkactus City (:P play on words for pink cactus). Rosalvia City (Roses are red as are salvia flowers...) Those are some ideas on the top of my head...
Atomic could work for a team name. Rocket... I think they're kind of over-used... Just a bit... Five regions... Though maybe not...

And a good name for the default start town could be something simple, like Graseed (gray seed, lol) Town. :]
Also, maybe Iveen (Ivy and Green) Town?

Also, I'm thinking that Blulily could be a Flying, Water, or Ice gym?
Pinkactus maybe Normal or Dragon?

And for mine, Iveen could be the Grass type gym. :3

Blulily I was thinking more for the water gym... Almost like an alternative to a waterlily floating in blue water... I think that's how I came up with that name to begin with.
The other towns you assigned gyms to are just fine. Iveen is so cute! Works well. Alvia are red mostly and fire can be red as well. Yeah. That works, too.
Pinkactus sounds more like the Normal type... A town name like Violdra could be for the dragon gym if one's wanted.
I've noticed that the gyms in the series get mixed up a bit as well. The rock gym came first followed by water. Though, the rock gym doesn't come first again till the third region which isn't too big of a leap. Water gym however doesn't come second again till, well never actually. :P Comes first in the fifth region with a certain condition, though. Some of them are only used once throughout the whole series. Poison for example. Not counting the double types anyway...
Graseed/Greseed (whichever version of gray/grey is preferred) sounds like a good starter town name. Flowers grow from seeds that are greyish in colour sometimes...

Sounds awesome! Honestly, I'm pretty excited~ This is going to be so cool when it all comes together...~


So, let's see what types we've got:

Water, Fire, Grass, Dragon, Normal.

Five out of eight!

And we still have Poison, Flying, Ice, Rock/Ground (I lump them together...), Electric, Fighting, Psychic, Ghost, and Bug.
Hopefully, I'm not forgetting anything. O:

Anyway, five out of eight gyms isn't bad actually. We just need to name the gym leaders, unless you want the role players to do that...
I've noticed, though, that sometimes they're named for a pun of something related to the type of Pokemon they use or close enough to it (Brock = Rock with B added, Pryce = Ice type gym leader, Bugsy = bug type gym leader). Then there's alternatives using their original Japanese names for some of them... (Kasumi = Mist + y). Others are just random names... As far as I know.

I think it'd be cool if people could name the gym leaders, if they wanted to play them... Maybe after a certain point, if specific spots aren't taken, we can turn them into NPCs and name/play them ourselves when needed. Hrrrrmmmm~

Yeah, having the players who'd like to play as a gym leader probably should choose their own names. I mean there are random names in there so why not? We could also have them as NPC's, sure. Could make things easier for battles that way, too while still keeping a steady word/paragraph count without too many one-liners. Even though some can actually handle when two players play the different characters anyway... Somehow...

Would you like to be a trainer or a Gym Leader? Because we'll likely need both. O:
Though I guess it depends how big we can make this...

Seeing as none of the gyms are dark, I think I might make my dark trainer just be a loner trainer. Figured she might have... maybe three Pokemon. Ha ha.

However, if you don't mind people playing more than one character, I would love to be a gym leader, or even elite four. Either, fire, ice, electric, ghost, or dragon. I would make this one be a male... maybe in his upper twenties? XD He could always be like Brock and end up joining some one of the group of kids. :D

Scratch ice and dragon... Not enough Pokemon I like with Rhodes types. I'm subbing in Steel. XD
