Some stuff just doesn't make sense or doesn't add up. Sometimes, you lose money you swear you had... or on special occasions, rediscover money you'd forgotten! Sometimes, someone goes completely psychopathic, seemingly without warning. And sometimes, stuff is simply so confusing - either by explanation or by nature - that you can't wrap your head around it.
A few days ago, Dad sent me to the store to buy ingredients for a whopper ice cream pie that Sunset magazine had given the recipe for. It was only when I was at the store that I noticed it called for 1 and 3/4 pints of ice cream (a typical box is 1 and 1/2), 3 1/2 cups of whoppers (typically contains 2 1/2), and malted milk without fillers and Dutch-process cocoa (specialty ingredients). I looked it over, had a WTF moment, came home and ditched the recipe, making my own pie. :lol:
I mean seriously, what do you think the chances are that the magazine gets payed to promote buying just a *little more* of an ingredient than the standard size offers? It's sort of like having to buy a whole quart of heavy cream when you only need a tablespoon.
What was your last "Wait, what?" moment?

I always lose money. My ex used to hold onto my money until I could use it when we went out because I would always misplace things. He still teases me about it too. XD
I still do not understand women for the life of me. I always find myself saying "Eh...women" a lot. XD I always joke around with this group of women that have to have their nails done that I work with. I really do not understand that kind of thing either since most of the time they complain about breaking nails off and what not. XD

I hate losing money, because that means I wasted plus hours of work :gonk:
Like I had 4o dollars for a fancy dinner with my friends..but I didn't have a purse
so I ended up putting it my boots :B
My "wait, what.." moment was probably when I found out R.L Stine wasn't real.

Should of phrased that differently. xD

It happens when I say things.
Its common when I talk to myself.
Like: "I've got to put the ice cream back into the fridge..."
I'd be wrong of course.
When is Aria not wrong?

The last "Wait, what...?" moment I had, was today at work. Right before lunch service, I went up to the prep kitchen, and could for the life of me remember what I went up there for, until I got back downstairs. I repeated this probably 3 times before I finally got downstairs with the item I originally went up for, not the 5 other things I ended up taking downstairs.

Most of the time it's when someone says something and I don't hear what they say or I think they said something else.
The majority of the time my answer is "wait, what?"

Every day I have a 'wait, what?' moment, I guess because every day I hear something new or something changes that makes me go 'what?'.

Only every day at work, good lord. xD
Fielding calls from customers can be mind-boggling sometimes. We have to pry some account information out of them at the start of the call so we can help them with our product, and there are so many people who go "well, I don't have that" and just wait for you to, apparently, mind-meld with them and create a service ticket out of thin air.

Ugh, loosing money. Mine's slightly worse - I had a birthday present for a friend whose party I couldn't attend. I spent almost a week on a card, container, and artwork for her, then spent money on a gift card. I could swear I put them down in my room, but I can't find any of them. I won't see her for quite a while, but knowing that I put that much into a gift and then losing it is a drag.

My most recent "What, what..." moment involved a server telling me Im always tired, and never work as many hours as her. I litterally stopped what I was doing, look at her, and just walked away. Im sorry, when I was SUPPOSED to have Monday off, but was called in because it was "busy" and work 3.25hours, then I work over 12 hours Tuesday, over 11 Wednesday, then 7 hours today...I think I worked more hours this week alone(still have 10-12hours tomorrow, and 7-ish Sat) than she did last week...total. Honestly, some servers piss me off. Lazy servers just make me want to strangle cute kittens(wouldnt do it...but you get the point).

@Loveday: Zombie-proof house? What? xD
My latest "Wait, what?" moment was finding out some people - educated adults raised in developed countries - still believe the earth is flat and/or that the earth is the center of the solar system or universe. o.O

Yes. There's in fact some sort of group going around on the web about it. Apparently, if I'm not mistaken, the whole "the earth is round" theory is evil. Religious folk. No offence, but, y'know, this shit is funny.

Yeah, it's something about they believe in things like that based on interpretations of the Bible. People who deny things like evolution never really bothered me, because it's kind of something you have to rely on scientific studies and scientific understanding to see the proof, and there will always be people who are downright convinced scientists are lying to everyone because they're omg teh evil and whatnot. But things like believing the earth is flat is completely boggling, because you don't need a scientist to tell you that. It's something that anyone can prove (provided they have the travel money).
Edit: I started poking around on that Flat Earth site you linked to, NeuzaKC. You were right, that's some funny shit. :lol:

Just now, me, my older brother, older sister, and mom were watching Invader Zim and all of us (including the characters) had a wait, what? moment.
Zim was trying to get Dib to tell him information by hyponitsing him. Dib stated that he would simply close his eyes. Zim told him he couldn't keep his eyes closed forever, he had to breathe sometime.
....
We all paused and where like "Wait, What?!?!?" including Dib. ^.^ It was hilarious!

My dreams cause constant "Wait, what?" moments from me. When I wake up, I'm always surprised that I believed it could happen while I was in the dream. You know, stuff like people and places getting mixed up, or thinking I still go to secondary school rather than uni.

I was playing an RPG and I got killed in like three seconds in a battle. I didn't know it at the time, but it was a story battle and you couldn't win. lol. But when it went to a cut scene in stead of the GAME OVER screen I had my "Wait... What?"
But I suppose in this situation it was a happy one. lol.

I don't pay a lot of attention to... well, anything, so I get these moments a lot. Like, I was watching The Steve Wilkos Show with my mom earlier and she kept yelling at the people. I just nodded at first, pretending to listen, but then I could have sworn she said someone in the audience was painting their toenails. o_O;;
Oh, and later I said something about cooking a "yummy delicious burrito", but I was making a hamburger. That was more of a "WTF moment" for the people around me, though lol.

My latest Wait What moment would have to be in the song Crashed the Wedding by LMNT I think....anyway when it's saying her dad's never liked me (or somthing XD) because "I never got a G-O-B" I had to listen to it a couple of times but it definitely spells Gob and not Job....unless they're Jay sounds like Gee because they're Ozzie Osbourne wannabes...or something similar...Gah haven't had one in a while OH in a soccer match there was this girl defender professional Women's World Cup who was in her pk area (18 yard box for those of you who don't know) the ball was shot towards her and she grabbed it held it for one-two-three-four dropped it then kicked it out of the pk area and the ref did not call it...Oh and did I mention this was an internationally televised event? South Equatorial Guinea versus Australia I believe. Not too long ago I believe
