i wish people could see NO ONE likes boy bands anymore >:(

I haven't seen any for years! :D Luckily? Or wait, there was one in Eurovision Song contest, but it didn't sound good so... Danger of the comeback is over?
Oh yeah, and you do mean bands like Backstreet Boys, don't you?

I see someone dislikes The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. Which aren't boy bands, but were precursors to such.

That's why I asked about the phrase "boy bands". Are we talking about the 90's boom or all bands that have only men in them? Because "boy band" reminds me of those Backstreet Boys' idea: everybody in the band sings and dances (no one will play an instrument). One has to be the cutie, one is the cool kid, one is the badass and so on. Because they're the ones I hate! :D

.... *raises hand* I still love boybands... well back from the 90's ^.^ I love listening to retro BSB, N*Sync, Hanson. I mean I don't like now-a-days Backstreet Boys, but their 90's was awesome ^.^
And then ya, Rolling Stones, not a big Beetles fan though.

In Korea and Japan boy-bands are the rage and I personally like Super Junior, BEAST, Arashi, and etc that I won't name every boy-group/band there is. So it just takes someone to like them and it's their own choice, so whatever you like you like. :) But thanks for your opinionated mind.

On the topic of current ones, I love me some Big Time Rush. The Jonas Brothers count as a boyband too, right?

DaisyHeehl: I just assume she meant those but when I think of boy-bands I think of boys playing instruments and not just a group, such as the ones I listed. Though when people think of boy-bands (the people I am around) they think of groups, not band. So it confuse me as to know which one people are talking about. So I eventually just plopped them in one category. :) Sorry~

Pssh puh-lease. There's an entire Tumblr fandom on boy bands. And don't make such an absolute statement that nobody likes boy bands. They may be less popular, but that doesn't make them any less loved by their true fans.

I'm sorry but, just because you don't like them, doesn't mean there's no one else in this world of nearly 7 billion people who do. You shouldn't just go and make such an assumption without actual backing on it. =/

I myself may not enjoy american boy bands but I'm really fond of korean/japanese ones.

PFFT. Boy bands are NOT dead. :) I love quite a few that are active today, and there's plenty of new ones coming out. Then again, their first language isn't even close to English. Actually, they're mostly Korean/Japanese. :3 In order to call a band a boy band, there has to be no girl's in it for it to be the truth.. so there a lot of great "boy bands" left in America and other places too!

You should really only talk about what is true, you don't like them... I love them. :) So your statement is very inaccurate.

I wouldn't consider things like Panic! and MCR as boybands. Sure they have men in them but boybands (at least American ones) tend to be strictly pop and their members don't play instruments, they just dance and sing.

I personally consider boy bands as all members are male. xD But each to their own~ >w<

I still love me some Backstreet boys, NSYNC, Hanson, New kids on the block, 98 degrees, and the such every now and then. XD BSB and New kids on the block just had a tour that sold out pretty quickly here so no, I would not say they are dead or that no one likes them.

Mystic: I went to the NKOTBSB tour, they were in my area last month. I don't regret it and it was f-ing awesome!

I'm sorry, but as soon as I saw the title...I just had to ask. What era are you speaking of? Though I suppose I could ask what type of boy bands exactly. if you mean boy bands as in just singing and dancing...you have got to see the fans in korea and then try telling me boy bands are dead. if you mean bands that play instruments and are all boys...go see the fans in Japan and then tell me boy bands are dead.

I feel bands like...DBSK (yes I mean all five of the members), BIG BANG, SHINee, the GazettE, Alice Nine, etc are still extremely popular. So...I consider your point invalid.

If that is what you meant, Korean male pop and rock artists, as well as Japanese are anything but dead hunnie.
Give em`a listen, and go on any international forum for any group and you'll see that.

The Korean group Big Bang has gotten so much attention around all of Asia, and internationally;
they're even supposed to be debuting in America. (or at least I've heard)
