i am working on a new novel and i want to try it out here first well my first bit of the story anyways its not much but here it is...

Prolauge

The wind is gently blowing and you can see the fae dance upon the water. Each footstep is delicate upon the calm water creating small ripples barely noticeable upon the shore. I watch them dance cursing my mortality and this gift that allows me to see. The fae are having so much fun yet, I can never join.

There is a faerie girl dancing by herself. I watch her as I practice. My cello comes alive as I envision the song she is dancing to. Slowly she turns, head down mournfully. She is so beautiful and so exotic, but not like the others. Her short hair hides her face but while she dances her beautiful face is exposed. I've watched her since I was a child and yet not once have I seen her truly smile. Her eyes always betray her.

He's back, no longer can I play my mystic tune. When he is around her she tries to look happy, she holds the biggest smile on her face. However, in her eyes you can see the desperation and pain. They are married although I doubt she has ever loved him. As he leans in for a kiss I cannot bring myself to look. Just the thought of her apparent discontent is breaking my heart. She longs for her freedom.

Often as I am watching her I see an essence radiate off her astonishing translucent skin. Her aura is so intriguing I cannot help but think of her. When he is around however, it is almost as if he was draining her essence of life directly from her.
