...really? No Harvest Moon thread here? Alright I'll bite. I'll be the first to admit I'm just lame enough to love those hauntingly addicting farming simulator games. I don't know why- I don't think anyone knows why they're so fun. They just are.

So. Which game is your favorite? :D Which ones do you own? I currently have all of the DS ones, as well as Hero of Leaf Valley, Save the Homeland, and all of the gamecube ones. I recently bought the Mineral Town one too but have yet to do much with it. I'm really looking forward to the new game that's coming out too, Tale of Two Towns.

I've only played a few but I loved them! I think the one I was addicted to the most was Save the Homeland. I was seducing bitches left and right :cool:

I think I tried playing the very first game, but I wasn't really sure what to do besides planting and taking care of my animals so I kinda gave up from boredom. Is there another point to the game? Just wondering. :sweat:

You can usually get townspeople to fall in love with you and start a family. It's pretty cute.

YES THIS. I love seducing.

Save the homeland was awesome. The only flaws were that it ended so soon, and you couldn't get married. Hero of Leaf Valley is actually a remade version of it for the PSP though. Not only are there SEXY NEW BITCHES, but lots of cool shiz and you can keep playing even after you save the town.

Aerinn- Pretty much it's about befriending villagers, unlocking cutscenes, and makin' virtual money by way of harvesting crops and milking cows. I know, it sounds really lame XD Some people get really into it though <3

In the next game, they're gonna let you sell your wife out :cool: :lol:

For sure, it's one of my favorite series! At the moment, I'm helplessly addicted to Rune Factory 3. Of all the ones I've played so far, that's my favorite one. Second to that is Harvest Moon 64.

I currently own Friends of Mineral Town for GBA, which I've been keeping permanently attached to my DS. I also have A wonderful Life for PS2, Magical Melody for GC, Rune Factory 1 and 3 for DS. Hoping to own Rune Factory Frontier and Animal Parade soon. Haven't done research on the new ones yet D=

Heh, I only did farming and herding and visited an event ONCE. Oh, I remember I gave a girl some flowers, but I didn't realize you could get married. O.O This is very interesting. I should find the game and try to own the ladies. :twisted:

The last one of the Harvest Moon games I owned was Animal Parade. I have owned a few others but I had absolutely loved them all. :) They really do get addicting and all the different townspeople are cute. I love the style of the games, the graphics and everything are adorable. I believe I had once owned the Mystical Melody one and then one for the DS but other than that, I haven't played many of the games. ^.^"

I miss playing them. I'll have to start saving up!

LOVE ME SOME HM! Currently replaying HMDS with the More friends of Mineral Town GBA plug in. SO much fun. I'm probably going to marry Leia again <3 hehe.

Cannot wait until FINALLY the new HM Twin Villages will be released. Sept 30!!! I've only been waiting for about 2 years for it to finally come over from Japan. It looks phenomenal, and it'll be the first in the series to be released for the 3DS as well.

I have a love/hate for save the homeland because they didn't give you the option of keep playing if you get the good ending (saved the homeland haha)

It's been so long since I've played any though I can't remember what I do and don't have other than being sure that I don't have the newer games like animal parade, magical melody, rune land or whatever....ect.

I don't have the female side / version of a wonderful life....

I only own harvest moon for the gamecube. At first I thought it was really boring..but as I started playing it more and more and more, it got really addictive.

Oh my... O.O The nostalgia is overwhelming! I remember wasting my childhood playing the very first Harvest Moon! :D It was great, but I was disappointed with the sequals. Ok, not every of them was bad, but I hated how the quality of art dropped down. The first one was so pretty!

Nowadays you can play it with emulators, there's really no reason to buy SNES for it (hard to find one anyway.)

I've never played that game, but it looks like a fun and cute game.

I just bought two Harvest Moon games for the Gamecube. The A Wonderful Life one I had already played but years ago, and I bought the version with the female lead this time, so it should be fun. I've heard that edition was the worst out of all the Harvest Moons. I felt it played a bit slow but didn't feel it was horrible. I know the version of it they released on PS2 was really bad.

I also bought Harvest Moon Magical Melody, which I haven't played before, so really looking forward to that.

Years ago I had an edition of it for Game Boy Advance, but I never got far in it, just did not enjoy the handheld, for whatever reason.

I've played most of the Harvest Moon games and I also own Rune Factory for the DS. I enjoy Rune Factory, it is just so different but at the same time it is in it's own way Harvest Moon. One of my favorite HM games is Magical Melody for the Gamecube. I've played most of the games though, except for new gen versions. I also haven't checked out Hero of Leaf Valley for the PSP...so I really might look into that, especially because I don't believe I got to play much of HM Save the Homeland. From the size that this tread is becoming...I think it's safe to say you are indeed not, the only fan of Harvest Moon roaming about the site. ^_^

I only recently got into Harvest Moon. It's sort of funny how I started really. My mom likes Farmville so I suggested she get one of the Harvest Moon games for herself which was on sale at a store that was going out of business. She ended up getting Harvest Moon: Animal Parade.

I had previously borrowed one of the older GameCube games from a friend and didn't like it but I decided to give this one a go anyway and now I'm addicted. I think there's something to this newer one that makes it more enjoyable than the Another Wonderful Life one that I tried.

I recently pre-ordered the new 3DS game, Tale of Two Towns. I hope I'll like that one just as much. Even if I don't, that alpaca plush that comes with the pre-order is adorable!

I only have Magical Melody (I know lame!) But I do love it! Haven't played in a while, will probably start up again soon >w<

I played some Friends of Mineral Town on an emulator long, long ago... When I got a DS, I bought Sprite Station and loved it... before I discoverad that becouse of a bug I'm unable to marry the Witch D: Then I got Rune Factory.. I love it to bits and I was just thinking of playing some but unfortunately I don't have my DS with me right now D:
