I've always hated my first name. I dislike my middle name, but that mostly started when I found out it was masculine. My first name I hate because if you say it, twenty people in the room turn around with you and go "whatttt?"

I had never met anyone with my name until recently. I only found out that there was someone born on the very same day, month, same first, middle, and last name. Same high school, same city.

@Vix: Yeah, Mike's cut back a good amount since we've been together. I don't know how much he smokes when I'm not around. But, he doesn't smoke a lot around me. He tries not to smoke in the car when he's in it. He definitely doesn't smoke in the car when I'm in it with him. Since buying the new car, he's only smoked in it once with me in it and that was because his dad woke up and startled both of us into leaving quickly. And Mike didn't smoke before we left his house. Anyway, he says he'll quit one day and he's tried to quit a bunch of times since we got together, so I try not to nag him about it. When he mentions wanting to quit I always tell him that I'll be there for him and help him.

@Birdie: No, not for another few years. I'm graduating from Uni in Dec and we both want to go to grad school sometime. But, after University I need to look for a big girl job and get money saved up and such so we can start saving for an apartment. I don't think we're getting married till at the earliest 2013-14. I dislike my maiden name (Waterhouse) because it's so boring sounding. ^^" I state it since there are a whole shlew of people with it and someone with my first name with it too. I like Mike's since his is Italian ^^

It depends on whether or not you are (A) an idiot or (B) are trying too hard. Our name is spelled the way it sounds thanks to the Americanization it received when my family immigrated from Germany. There are a lot of people who don't realize that, and still try to give it a foreign twang. My family just stands there and looks at them with a raised brow silently laughing on the inside.
