What are some things that you like better when you don't know what they're made of?

The thing that brought me to this idea was bands. I have a few bands, namely Justin Bieber before I knew who he was, that I liked until I figured out it was preteen guys singing the lead.

I dunno...it's just less attractive to me.

I don't know how popular this thread will be or where people will take the idea, but have fun with it!

Radio DJs (and by extension, podcasters). You always have this vision in your head as to what this person looks like based on their voice, and then you see their picture on the website and mind=blown.

What about characters from books/comics that get made into movies? Either they're pretty close or leave you wondering what the fuck happened during casting *cough*AnneHathawayasCatWoman*cough*

And yeah, Saisei, I know of some Radio DJs around here who sound like they'd look like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and are twigs. It's hella disappointing.

Lolol, Vix. That's the way I am with actors, but not actresses, and with either gender I have to respect the person to like them/know anything about them.

Um...*looks* I don't like him so I need to find him...alright, his name is Jamie Campbell Bower and he was in the Harry Potter and Twilight series as various things...the Twilight series was a bad role for him as well.

I've tried not to rush to judgment on the whole Hathaway/Catwoman thing, only because Nolan has made some questionable decisions previously and still delivered GIGANTIC nuggets of fried gold on box office day. I put my faith in his ability to make things awesome. :)

There is a radio show in the area I live in called Mike & Mike In the Morning...When I met them in person... I was shocked to find that they were exactly how I imagined them to be in person. And they're both just as funny and kind in person as they sound in their show. :'D They're really just themselves on the show.

I have to agree on Halle Berry as Catwoman. I loved how she pulled out the role.

Actually, the jelly belly making process is pretty innocuous. I saw it on unwrapped. :)

Really? Well thats good to know. I love Unwrapped. It's why I'm no longer afraid of knowing how they made Tootsie Rolls ^.^ I love Tootsie rolls.

I have to know what's in everything I eat. If I don't know what it is, I will not eat it. I'm a borderline vegan and I do not like to eat a lot of chemicals either. Some of the stuff that is put in food is just flat out nasty.

I agree with radio personalities. There's a morning show here that's pretty popular and I met the guys that do it years ago and that is not what I thought the would look like.

@Saisei: Indeed. She might be a good Cat Woman, and I hope she is, but I haven't liked her recent roles so this will be interesting. Heath Ledger definitely didn't look like he could pull off that kind of role, but he was amazing as the Joker.
