(and i mean people like me, who have loud frickin speakers and blast em all the way up. )

My fave bands would have to be Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Styx, and, well, there are too many to name here. Post away!

Zep's alright, never been much of a Metallica fan, Styx is pretty good though.

I personally like bands such as Van Halen, Winger, and The Doors.

Oh, you mean me and my parents' huge custom speakers from the 70s? Yeah, maybe. Haven't heard anything nearing them, and by now they're kind of held together by tape, lol.

BTW, if you're talking that kind of thing...

My dad's got some Pioneers from the early 80's that we adore. He hasn't been able to find anything like them without paying an arm and a leg.

I listen to almost anything. As long as its got guitar, drums, bass. I will listen.

As for loud speakers....I miss the speakers we had in my high schools band room. The reason why:

The band room was built into the hill side, and was technically the basement area, so no windows. It was sound-proofed so that when class was in session, we wouldnt disturb others. But before concerts, we would close the doors, and blast the music. There were only two speakers, near the doors(was a large enough room to have two sets of double doors at either end). Now, when some of us needed to grab a surprise present from one persons locker, we left the room, while music was blasting, went up to the third floor, and felt the vibrations from the sound system. It was such an awsome system, that I hope its still around. I LOVED that system.

Yay Zeppelin, boo Metallica.

I liked their early stuff when Cliff was still alive, to be sure. They even had a few good songs on their mainstream albums. But IMHO Load was exactly that, and since they'd been slipping right up to it, that's when I stopped paying any attention to them.

I know we're lightyears past the original napster controversy, but I still hold Lars' attitude about music sharing against those guys forev. They're nothing but over the hill rich scum, and I wouldn't buy any of their music anymore if one paid me to do so.

Pioneers are awesome.

Good speakers these days are really hard to come by now without being rich, I have no idea why. They definitely don't make them like they used to.

Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, System of a Down, Godsmack, Allele (Not really well known but still good), Trivium, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Trapt, Demon Hunter...to name a few. I have WAY to many bands to choose from.
Though Allele is probably near the top of my list at the minute.

Very much so. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queens of the Stone Age, King Crimson... my boyfriend and I play those soooo loudly wherever we go. Oh, and The Doors and a whole bunch of other bands. Man.

Urchie's the only one who I seem to share some music taste with. I'm not that big with classical rock, I like it but I only really listen to it with people who enjoy it a lot. I usually blast foreign music though, especially Asian music as of late. However I still blast some brokeNCYDE and Three Days Grace, Skillet, The Spill Canvas, Eminem, A7X, Godsmack... To put it simply, I listen to a little bit of everything.

Dude, Led Zeppelin rocks. I listen to them all the time. Such a wonderful voice. I love a lot of classic rock though.

I love rock music & heavy metal.
I still listen to Led Zepplin, Journey, Styx, & Metallica. Although lately I have been listening to Apocalyptica's versions of Metallica songs more than Metallica.
My favorites include: Shinedown, Disturbed, Saliva, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin & Skillet (Monster was a great song).
If only I had better speakers in my car. T_T
