Only myself, Kiona RedHawk, and Ascadellia are allowed to post here. Everyone else, please refrain...

Name: Mirakil Swee
Age: Looks 19...
Appearance:
Ferrets name is Wilt.

_______

Mirakil's eyes were closed in concentration as she said the words that she had not known before she began the spell. All around her, the symbols and circles that has been inscribed into the ground glowed around her as she uttered the Lost Words. The people that surrounded this special child were muttering amongst themselves. This had not happened in many generations. A child with powers like hers had not been seen for longer then that.
Through time, the journey of magic and it's Guides had been warped to darkness. The original casters had no intended it for this purpose. But here, thousands of years later, the last known Guide was being used for ill. The men knew not what she was saying or casting...or summoning. Only that this magic that they caused her to do was powerful. It was that power that they wanted.

Mirakil screamed after she said the last words, the power seeming to be pulled from her into the symbols. She feel backwards, consciousness having flown from her as whatever it was that her spell called emerged.

True Name: Demetrius Mardel
Age: More than a millenium.
Appearance:

Demetrius, or Demitri, had been in his home going over old scrolls and trying to salvage what he could from a fire that had recently happened. The fire had taken a few of their ancient works. Now he, as one of the few that could still read the ancient words, was stuck doing lesser demon work. How dull. He had just finished a book when he felt a strong tug at his body. His pale eyes narrowed in realization. Someone was actually trying to summon Him?? He ignored it for the moment but it kept getting stronger. The longer he ignored, the more painful it was to not listen to the call. After a moment of battling it, he scowled and disappeared from the study he was at.

Billows of smoke appeared in front of his summoner before he himself was shown. He had his arms crossed over his naked chest, showing black markings snaking over half his chest. He had a few other markings on his forehead, lower lip and right eye. Another obvious thing that couldn't miss was the long, curving horns coming out from his head. Raising an eyebrow, he flicked his long, almost wire thin tail around impatiently. Usually by now he was to be ordered to do something. But when it didn't come, his eyes went to the figure that had fallen to the ground. ...Pathetic really. Maybe she had been strong enough to summon him, but not enough to keep from fading into sleep after doing it.

The men erupted into movement, some coming slowly towards the called demon, others to the girl. They were not trying to be kind. "Demon, we have summoned thee. Thou shalt do our bidding. Fight for us and we shall award thee riches." Idiots, obviously.
The ones that went to Mirakil didn't get a chance to touch her before a shooting ball of fur hurled itself at them and bit, hard. Wilt growled a cute little ferret growl at the men, telling them not to touch her. The men huffed and went to squish him but he ferret dodged and bit the unshoed feet of the men. Before any of them could do anything else, Wilt turned and bit Mirakils finger...not that hard.
The girl shot up to a sitting position, her eyes fading from the death black back to their natural blue. Her eyes widened as she took in all the chaos that was starting to ensue. Wilt jumped into her arms just as a man went to grab for him. She turned her eyes towards him and the man backed off just a step. Her voice was barely a whisper, flowing like a soft wind in trees. "What did you make me do?"
The man growled and pulled out a long thin knife. She had served her purpose. She should no loner exist since she has served her purpose.
She stood as quick as her tired limbs would let her. She took a step back. This time, her voice shouted, like the thundering of a giant wave, "WHAT DID YOU MAKE ME DO?!" Even though she didn't have any energy, she got some from somewhere. A hand shot out and a arch of lightning hit the man, electrocuting him; making him unconscious, but not dead. She whirled around, long hair flying around her to do the same to the mean that surrounded her and Demetrius. A hand shot out and a spark hit another man before she realized that Demetrius was there. She went rigid as she looked at him, a black ring around her pupil as she stared at him; Wilt was wiggling in her arms at the sight of the demon.

His eyes narrowed as the men attempted to come close to him. A chilling wind blocked them from moving any closer to him than they already had. What they told him didn't help to improve his mood. Did they really think he Needed any riches? And it was pretty obvious that they hadn't summoned him. Nor was he bound to them. "You dare say I am bound to you?" he asked them, his tone almost seeming to have the ability to cut through them and send a fiery chill straight to their hearts. The idiots didn't even know what they've done. Who he was.

Before he could do anything else however, the girl woke up. It seemed she was to be killed. Maybe a pawn of some sort. Not his problem for the moment. He would only interfere if needed. She should be able to take care of herself. Despite having just passed out. His suspicions were correct as lightning came from her and shot down the men. Even the ones near him. As all the men dropped, he raised a single eyebrow and inspected the damage done. "You are too kind.. I would have killed them." he stated simply before looking at her dully. "Well?" he snapped after a moment of silence, which he took the time to size her, and the ferret up. "What is it you want? Or was it simply an accident that you summoned me?"

Mira's eyes narrowed at the mans tone of voice. She was now in a very bad mood. It hadn't helped that she had been trying not to stare at the man with horns because he was...how should she put it? Very good looking. His attitude needed improvement apparently. Her voice sounded irritate. "I don't know who you are. I didn't mean to do anything. These men-" She was cut off short at the sound of giant wooden doors banging open and the sound of feet rushing in. "Shit."
Wilt jumped out of her arms and headed away from the sounds of the more men coming in as Mirakil grabbed hold of the demon-man's wrist, dragging him with her. She wasn't being very nice about it but she figured if she tried to pull him with her gently, he'd just stop her. She followed after Wilt at a run, her legs screaming with pain at being pushed after the magical excursion.
The little creature scampered as fast as his littel feet could carry him. He lead them to the exit he had used to come in. It was hidden fairly well but he showed the way well enough.

It lead out into a bright green forest, the sun shining through whatever hole the dense leaves had left. Mira kept running, not stopping, not looking back, her only thought was to get as far from there as she possibly could; even though she knew they would not be pursued here. Those men couldn't enter the forest their building stood at the edge of. She didn't stop until her legs couldn't keep going. Her knees buckled out from under her and she went crashing into the ground, just near the edge of a crystal clear river. Unfortunately, she still had her grip on Demetrius's wrist...

He tensed as he felt her hand on his wrist. Nobody really touched him. At least not without his permission. Not that he got the chance to tell her since, the next thing he knew he was actually being pulled along with her as they ran from the oncoming people. More than likely more of those idiot men. He kept up well enough, having no trouble in running after her.He was curious as to why exactly they would harm her, when she was so powerful. She should actually not have been able to walk, none the less run. Maybe that was the reason. Too powerful for her own good. If she were a demon, she would have been respected, but sadly, she wasn't. Sucked for her.

Once they were outside, Demetrius winced at the sudden brightness. Even if it wasn't much. It was a difference from the inside of the building. Blinking, his eyes went from the pure white, to just his iris a white color. Better for his sight in the sunlight. Still they ran even though he could sense that she was tiring rapidly. His suspicions were correct when, a moment later, she collapsed. While still holding onto his wrist. A small swear escaped his lips as he was almost unbalanced by the sudden weight. He did manage to catch himself just before crushing her with his weight. He looked down at her and just sighed. Once he pulled himself off and grabbed a hold of the girl, he set her down in a more comfortable position. He had to force her hand to let go of his wrist, but his wrist was his own. Giving a blank look to the ferret, he raised an eyebrow. "Now what?" He did suppose he could leave. But then again, he was summoned for one reason or another.

(sucked for her :XD Sorry, that totally made me laugh)

Mirakil groaned when he moved her. Damnit, that really hurt. She kept her eyes closed, honestly wishing this was just a dream. Just a really, really, REALLY bad dream.
Wilt was next to her arm when he shuddered and suddenly was a very naked ferret. All of his fur, except for the black around his eyes was gone, a shedded pile upon the ground. Mira opened her eyes and looked at the creature to make sure he was still alright.. She sighs before closing them again. Her voice was a soft whisper, not being able to speak much louder. Not enough strenght. "My names Mirakil but you can call me Mira I guess. This is Wilt. I'm sure you can see why he's called that now."
Wilt scampered onto her lap and curled up to her warmth as she spoke. "I am really very sorry about all of this. I didn't...It wasn't....None of this was supposed to happen. I didn't want this." If she could have, her hands would have flown to her face and she would have started crying. As it was, only a tear or two escaped from her closed eyes.
After a moments pause, she finally managed to get to the point where she continuing speaking, even if it wasn't that loud. "Now what is a good question. You can do whatever you want. I'm...I'm just going to lay here for a little while, listen to the river. Sleep maybe."

His eyes narrowed. Did she really just give him her name? Granted it wasn't her full name. But still. She should know better than to give their true name to a demon. They could use it against them. He could very well use it against her. Maybe she didn't know. Or just ignorant. For some reason, he believed it to be ignorance. Considering she didn't even know who she was summoning. He nodded at the name of the ferret. It was slightly humorous to see it almost completely bald. "Demitri." he stated, giving his other name. His real one, was earned and only given to those he trusted completely. Her offhandedness of the situation surprised him. "What did you expect to happen?" he asked. "I cannot leave just yet. You must have some sort of need or want?" he asked, raising his eyebrow. His tone was slightly impatient but otherwise normal. "How did you come across those people?" It was after his questions that he realized she was more than likely exhausted. Humans and their lack of stamina. He reached over and placed a hand on her forehead, willing some of his magic to help speed up her recovery. At least so she would be able to answer his questions and stay awake.

( lol it's fine. XD Yeah, he's blunt. >.> )

Somehow, she found the energy, without opening her eyes, to smack his hand away from her forehead...and she smack it hard. Her voice was full of irritation again. "If you don't mind, Demitri, I don't like being touched when I haven't given permission. Wilt's the only one allowed that privilege." Suddenly her eyes flung open, flicking to and fro as she looked the man over, actually seeing him this time. "Shit. Demitri? Your a bloody demon." Her eyes closed again, squeezing shut, muttering. "They made me freaking call a damned demon. And you of all demons. Damnit all to your demon hell."
The hand that had swapped him away twitched a little bit as she realized she had touched him with it. It was the same hand she had used to hold his wrist. "I'm not going to start decaying now that I've touched you? No, your not that kind of demon." She sighs, finally managing to calm a little bit more. "Those men are in charge of most things in this part of the world. They are evil men. I wasn't supposed to be there. I didn't know. They tricked me, then made me drink something, and next thing I knew, I had summoned you. They don't have a lot of power themselves but what they can do involves using others who do have it. Unfortunately, I'm one of them." She really had no idea why she was telling him all of this. She just wanted him to go away. Sort of. She was alone in this world, so it was nice to have some company that could talk back to her. Wilt couldn't.

(Nothing wrong with being blunt :P and she's read about him O.O)

He scowled, annoyed at the fact that she actually smacked his hand away. The nerve of some people. "And yet you were the first to touch me. Don't be a hypocrite." he snapped back at her. Crossing his arms across his chest, he stared at her blankly. She hadn't even known who he was. Really? How annoying. He did smirk softly at her ranting. Seems he was a bit known here. So she just hadn't realized what he was. Made it better on her. He didn't however like the tone she had. Hearing her question, he laughed lowly. "Not if I don't want to. But I can make it so your hand is useless if you touch me again without permission." he stated with a light shrug of his shoulder. Her information did bother him. "So basically, there will be more people calling more demons to do their bidding." he muttered more for his sake than hers. That would not bode well. Not at all. He couldn't have his race being commanded by those idiots. For now however, he couldn't do anything about it. It would be foolish to run in there without knowing what they wanted with him, or others.

( That just made him feel a bit cocky. XD )

Mirakil growled at him. "You also touched me without permission, so I think we're even on that front. Obviously, there will be no touching on both sides. I only grab you earlier because I wasn't sure if you were going to follow me or not." She opened her eyes and attempted to sit up a little but it didn't work. She just ended up falling back. "Damnit. I hate being weak." She muttered. Then she sighs. "Look, I didn't mean to summon you so you don't have to stay here. You can go home. It's pretty obvious that's where you'd rather be anyway. Plus I'm sure you're going to have to deal with whatever those men are trying to do. Though I doubt they'll be able to summon another demon for a very long time. There aren't exactly a lot of people like me that can do it. If anything, some can summon little gremlins. Stupid idiots."
She put a hand on Wilt's naked body, stroking the actually smooth skin. It was calming anyway. "Do what you want and feel like you should, Demitri. I am sorry to have bothered you so." She closes her eyes again, her breathing slowly becoming regular. The wind started to blow a gentle breeze that caused her to actually smile a little bit. It shifted her dull blue hair a little bit to where pointed ears could be seen, her elven heritage now apparent.

(As it should have :XD)

He smirked a little at her comment about hating being so weak. He would imagine it wouldn't be pleasant. "I wouldn't know." he stated, shrugging. He never let himself get to that point. To do so is to leave one self defenseless. Something only an idiot would do. In her case however, it seemed that she had been made to do it without her consent. Demitri frowned, giving her an odd look. "That is not the way things go." he informed her, slightly put out. "I have to stick around you for at least twenty four hours." It was something that had been put in place a few centuries ago. To avoid demons running around without any sort of control among the mortals. Of course, they could do anything they wanted after the set time. Sadly, he too was stuck. Else something would happen to him that he didn't really want to happen. His gaze went to her ears. "So you are not really human. Might explain your powers." Elves were sometimes better at channeling magic than other races. It made sense.

( lol Sure, give the already smug demon a reason to be smugger. XD )

Mirakil looked at him, startled for a moment before she realized what must have happened. She quickly moved her hair so that it covered her ears. "It doesn't," referring to his comment about explaining her powers. She turned her head away from him, looking at the river they were next to. This is stupid, she thought, not saying anything else to him, choosing not to explain that further unless he asked about it. She didn't want to be around a demon, especially not him. She's read and heard too many things about him that she didn't want to be near him. Not that that kept her from wanting to stare at him. For all that he was a demon and had his own faults, he was bloody freaking handsome. She squeezed her eyes shut at that thought, trying to shut it away.
And yet, for all that, she also didn't want him to go away. He was the first person, even if he was required to by whatever reason he said he had to, that actually stayed and talked to her like a normal person. For as long as she could remember, she had always been alone. It had given her strength and made her stronger then she otherwise would be; but that didn't mean she liked it. If it hadn't been for Wilt, she would have despaired and tried to disappear long ago.
Her eyes opened and she remained staring at the river for what seemed forever, fighting away the urge to move. She knew she would grow stiff just sitting there but she still had to gain her energy before she did. She needn't worry about her power, though, for it had already restored itself the few moments she had been talking with Demitri.

Demitri raised an eyebrow at her denial. And the way she had hid her ears once again. Seemed someone didn't want others to know of her species. His eyes narrowed an inch, inspecting her closely before shrugging. She was a cute one, but didn't seem to be very social. Snappish too. Realizing he still knew nothing of the place he was in, he almost growled. This day was becoming slightly annoying. Other than they were close to a body of water, evil weirdos trying to rule this land, and a girl with a bald ferret... Not very much indeed. In fact, he was stuck with a person for a day. While he had to do so much. That just made him want to groan. He ran a hand through his hair to scratch his head a little before turning to look at the girl. "Where are we?"

Mirakil shook her head. "I'm not sure. I know that we're in one of the off limits forests. There are several on this continent. So we're either in Alasia, Comoern, or Tieriana. I couldn't tell you which though. All three places have evil men like that, so it's hard to tell." Slowly, very slowly, she started to stretch, a little muscle at a time. She was starting to get too stiff. She ended up standing and stretched her arms above her head, eyes closed, giving her whole body one last good stretch. She had forgotten that her shirt wasn't really much in the way of being a covering, since it showed most of her torso.
Wilt had skittered away and started to drink some of the water in the river. His fur was only barely starting to come back, little pinpricks of color.

He rolled his eyes a little before looking around. So they were both in one of three places. At least he'd heard of them. Not much, but it was something. Now that he thought about it, he had heard some rumors about some idiots trying to take over some lands and such by 'employing' high level demons. None had really taken the bait. Or rather, they just destroyed the people since they'd be ticked off by their words. Hell, he might have killed off a few of them if Mirakil hadn't done anything. Once she started to stand, his eyes went over to her. Resisting a small smirk at the view he got, which wasn't bad at all, he closed his eyes. "Got anywhere you need to be or something?" he asked, unsure if it'd be so, fun to just sit around and wait for Something to happen. Technically he couldn't leave her so he was, bored.

Mirakil stopped stretching and looked at him. She sighs a little. "No. I have nothing and nobody, so there isn't anything that I must be doing right now. I just want to stay away from them." She hesitated. "I...I know of a place I can go to find shelter and protection from them, should they come looking again, but I would really rather avoid that at all costs. Plus, I don't like having to depend on anybody."
Mira walked to the waters edge next to the prickly ferret, bent, grabbed a handful of water, and took a drink. As soon as she did, she realized how thirsty she actually was. She really had been drained. She took another four handfuls before she wasn't parched. She sat back on her heels with a grateful sigh. She continued to look at the water when she said, "I don't know if you drink water, but this tastes delicious. You should try some." Then her stomach growled and she moaned. "Crap." She stood up. "I'm going to see if I can't find us something to eat." Again, she hesitated, this time for a different reason. "Do you eat normal food?" She knew next to nothing about demons' diets and habits, so she had to ask.

He gave her a curious look before nodding. He didn't have to question her ways. He was going back home in a day regardless. And she did seem like someone that depended on themselves. Again, admirable for a girl that looked as young as her. He watched as she moved to the edge and raised an eyebrow. He would never do such a thing. They never knew what animals bathed in there. Or people. long with countless other things. Demitri smirked lightly at her question. "I can eat human food, if that is what you are asking." He stood up and yawned a little. It was early for him, and too warn and bright for his taste. He was a creature of the night, so to speak. "I however, am not very hungry at the moment, and require no drink yet. We'll go look for some food for you."

Mirakil stood up and looked at him. She sighed. "I can get my own food. I don't know how much you know about what I can and don't eat." She looks around, obviously her mental gears grinding away as she was thinking. She looked at him again, creepy pale blue eyes just looking again. "You really don't have to stay around me. Obviously, I'm not the type of company that you want. If you want company at all. I don't want to be a burden."
Before waiting for him to reply or anything, she waves a hand in front of her, a very pale, almost invisible blue shimmer sparkling before forming into a rather plain but very productive hunting knife. She sighs. She shouldn't really be using a lot of magic after that last episode but this was necessary.

----------

Mirakil came back a little later with two rabbits in hand, skinned and ready for cooking. It was starting to darken and a fire needed to be made. She set the rabbits next to the river and started to gather some sticks to try and start a fire. She started to hum while she worked, a lilting, windy tune.
Soon, she got a fire going and the rabbits cooking.
Wilt was fully furred once more and skittered about, chittering at birds that called at him in the trees. Mira sat near the fire, keeping an eye on the food. She looks at Demitri and tries to smile a little. "Again, sorry about summing you. I wouldn't have if I had had a choice." Because of the color of her eyes, they seemed to glow a little bit in the dark moonlit night.

Demitrius almost snorted. The fool could have just told him to give her something to eat. Of course, she had decided to remain stubborn and not ask for help. What a waste of potential. He waited for her and soon became bored. His pale eyes stared at her before he sighed. He almost wished she wouldn't have summoned him. "I see that now. But at least have me do something to take my boredom away." he muttered, sounding slightly sour. It had been a long time since he had been summoned, and now to be summoned and not be asked to do something was rather sad.

It wasn't like he Wanted to be ordered, but his powers weren't as limited and he could go all out on the task if ordered. And again, he would become less bored. The girl didn't have very much imagination.

Mirakil smiled a little at Demitri. "You could tell me about your home, or you, if you want. I like stories for some reason, and hearing about places that I've never been." Then she grinned with an idea. "Or, if your up to it, you could sing me a song from your homeland. I'm sure that would be very interesting, to say the least." She wondered briefly if she was actually childish but then dismissed it. She just liked to hear about other people, other places, and she was having a hard time not wanting to hear him speak. His voice had a nice quality to it...stop it, Mira.

His mind was going through with stories he could tell her. That she could understand and be able to be translated well enough. There weren't many. A small snort came out as the demon heard her other request. "A song?" he asked, sounding amused. He didn't have a bad singing voice. In fact, he was a good one. And he liked to show it off back home on special occasions. It would do no good to be too cocky over it. He had to wonder if she wouldn't mind the lack of understanding. "So, story or song?" he asked, smirking a bit.

Mirakil tilted her head to one side, thinking about what she wanted. "Hmm. I'm not sure. I'd love to hear you sing but a story sounds nice right now." She stoked the fire and checked on the rabbits, making sure they weren't burning. She waited patiently to see what he would tell her, wondering if it would be something that she could picture in her head. She had always enjoyed hearing stories when she was little.
