Ariel's frown could be felt as the elemental observed the others interact. Instead of appearing again, the spirit seemed to let wisps flit about both Irian and Cecilia's shoulders. He wouldn't be leaving them, but he wasn't about to keep himself bound to the same ground as the demons.
The hardly visible creature flit through the trees just above the group, watching as Ryu was tackle-hugged by the newcomer. Strange . . . but this woman must have been the one he'd felt earlier. He couldn't pinpoint her position, and now she was revealing herself so blatantly. Wise? Perhaps not. Foolish? That was . . . questionable.

Ariel's silver gaze narrowed as he slowly shifted into being between Cecilia and Irian. Without a word he let his hands carefully entwine with each of theirs. His touch was cold and light; it was hardly noticeable - but it was there.

Back in Pyro's memories, the creature, the prey the enraged wolf had been stalking, slowly crept up to him. Though still fearing the strange animal, the brutish creature wasn't so stupid and numbed with fear that he wouldn't take this opportunity. Now running, his feet pounding against the rough forest floor, scattering remnants of dead plant-life, the leader of the vicious onslaught let out a bellow, raising his axe high above his head.
Twisting his head sharply upwards, Pyro watched the edge of the blade come down towards his face, slowly curving downwards and to the young wolf, seemingly taking an eternity to reach him. But then, agony blossomed against Pyro's brow. Completely blinded in his pain, Pyro let out an inhuman scream, unlike any sound an animal could produce. Reverberating against trees, the horrible noise rang throughout the forest.
--------
Miles around, a bloodcurdling scream rang out through the enchanted forest, it's source a wolf, wide-eyed and gasping for breath. Pyro could still see the images racing through his head as his head pounded. A bright white scar, even a lighter color than the wolf's fur, burned a pulsing orange right above his eyes. Though the cut was large, it was clean, no jagged edges, and appeared like a crescent moon.
But, at the moment, his scar was not Pyro's worries, even though it continued to pulse wildly, matching his emotions. He couldn't stop the memories from coming in and it disturbed him. He could see all of the destruction he himself had caused, a whole forest leveled because of his terrible rage. After that terrible wound had been inflicted upon the youth, he had been utterly consumed by his eternal fire, which had spread across the entire forest, and ravaged lands far from its origin.
An abrupt change in patterns happened to Pyro's memories. There was a blur, which sharpened slightly, revealing a beautiful creature, her fur a lovely blue with darker blue streaks. In his memories, Pyro was able to see that the entrancing animal was a wolf, her eyes a piercing sapphire blue. The wolf approached him, and gently touched her nose to Pyro's head, where the injury lay. Soothing calm and a cool numbness spread from the enchanting she-wolf's touch, quenching his flames and luring him into a sense of safety and warmth, as if Pyro was back in his den, surrounded by his kin again.
Amber eyes flashed open, their pupils dilated in a state of panic and surprise.
"She is alive..." A crooked smile stretched up onto the enthused wolf's face, like a smirk. Apparently, Pyro found it suitable to gloat about his newfound well of happiness. He drew upon it, and suddenly forgot about every distressing memories that had plagued him. Prancing about like a new-born fawn, Pyro ran along, ignoring the many dead ends he ran into, though they did strike a nerve deep within in. But, once again relishing in his realization and disregarding all of the intertwined branches he came upon, Pyro ran on and on, endless amounts of energy fueling his every action and deed.
After about two hours of perpetual activity, though, brought the foolish creature to a realization. He was thirsty. Specks of saliva line his mouth, and a long, silver tongue spilled out through glossy white teeth. In the distance, though Pyro had his ears stubbornly pinned to the side of his head, he could hear water trickling along smooth rocks, a tranquil sound interceding his rough panting.
Pyro ran towards the life-giving liquid, his feet beating the ground like a drum. Taking no heed of the branches whipping at his face, the almost totally-exhausted youth raced towards the stream, which was now in his sight.
Then he came to a complete and utter halt. Several scents at once assailed his nose, and Pyro immediately dropped to the ground, his heart pounding and a growl rising up in his throat. There was the harsh smell of people, which Pyro had been lucky enough to avoid in his journeys, for if they had seen his lovely white coat, a whole mob of people would have been on his tail, sending hunting parties with hounds after him, until he would finally either escape, get caught, or lose himself in another violent, raging fire.
Squinting his narrow, bright amber eyes, the wolf crept forward, his torso barely grazing the ground, as he stalked through the undergrowth to investigate the fire in the distance.
(I apologize again for such distanced posts. And I'm also sorry if I make any mistakes with anyone's characters. Please tell me and I'll fix my mistake :DD!)
