Maybe, or maybe they stopped doing that, I don't know. But I liked a page called just "Doctor Who" and thought it was the official one, but it was a Craig Hurl one and they were transitioning to one that was called "Craig Hurl and the Tardis" or something like that. Instead of either leaving the old page or continuing to post things, they posted a link to the new page no less than three times per day for well over a week. It was getting really annoying so after a week or two I posted something like "If I wanted to join that page, I would have by now. I like Doctor Who, not some random guy who likes Doctor Who. Could you stop spamming me?" and the comment was deleted and I could no longer post comments, like things, etc. Luckily I then found the official Doctor Who page where I am quite happy.

THIS IS TO EVERYONE WHO EVER WANTED TO WATCH ANY DOCTOR WHO EPISODE (OLD OR NEW) BUT COULDN'T FIND THEM/COULDN'T DOWNLOAD/DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT TV CHANNEL ETC. (Provided you can stream, that is!)

Doctor Who masterpost with links to all episodes with all Doctors! :D

Now that that's done, it's time again for apologies for my absence. Our internet has been broken for over two weeks now and I only realised last week that there's an open connection we can use that does indeed support streaming! So last week I did finally get to watch the last Doctor Who episodes.
My reaction to them was pretty much like this:

I don't think I can even comment on the last one until I've watched it again, because I seriously don't even know what the fuck I just watched. My brain just went "AHHH WHAT IS THIS" and then blocked most of it out.

Okay, time to reply to some posts!

I agree. It's always the end of the world/time/space/Doctor/Earth.. it's epic, and the plots are well made, but it just gets a bit tiring.. you know? And you can't do it this often without it starting to seem a bit same-y.

"Silence must fall when the question is asked" refers to how the man who knows the dangerous secret must be silenced before he can tell it to anyone.

Therefore, since the question is "Doctor who?", then it only seems logical that the answer is his name.

Also....

More ramblings of a spoilery nature.X

So we also know that it wasn't his name that he whispered in River's ear. When does she find out his name, then? Because she did whisper it in Ten's ear!

And didn't they burn the Doctor's body? Even if it was just the robot, how did the people inside survive that?

(As well as other spoiler-y things regarding the last episode and the question)X

It wouldn't surprise me if the answer to the question isn't his name, although it does seem logical. I would think it involved the Doctor looking very honestly at himself and what he's done, because although he acts like he's the good guy who only does good things, he's had to make terrible decisions, including killing his own race (as well as other races). I'm sure that would drive him insane, perhaps silence him for ever. I dunno, that was the first thing I thought of.. that it's not as easy as a simple question-answer.
I must say though, the question did take me by surprise. Especially in regards to the whole "man with a dreadful secret". But then, wouldn't it make sense that the Doctor has terrible secrets he must face and admit to? Perhaps it has something to do with things he did before we even knew him? Something to do with his family? Some dark and secret thoughts? I can't wait to find out, but I'm sort of dreading it at the same time.

In regards to how River knows the Doctor's name.. was it not written on his cot at Demon's Run? I can't remember anymore actually, I need to watch it again I think.. :x

As for when I started watching the Doctor, I really started with Season 1, Episode 1 of the new series. I'd seen School Reunion before as an attempt from my friend to get me into it.. really bad choice, possibly my least favourite episode of Doctor Who ever. xD So I don't really count that one. I like watching things in the right order though, so I couldn't have started anywhere else. Well except with the classic series (which I have started watching from episode 1, just haven't really gotten very far yet..).

And finally, something for Rory fans. :squee:

Good to see you around ljos. Hope your internet gets fixed soon.

Angry Beige makes the best comics.

Finale spoilersX

An idea I had about the question is that rather than "Doctor who?" the question could be "Doctor, who?" but that would be going against the way the emphasis was put on it in the episode.

In reply to KatX

The power of punctuation! :| I dunno, it could be, but that would be an even weirder question.. unless it was only half the question. "Doctor, who is yr secret crush lolololol"?

...yes, I'm on my way to the corner of shame already.

Cherry, and your cleavageness! Sorry, I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. It's late and I'm sick, okay? :gonk:

...what cleverness? :F

I think she means the comic. I've seen it on tumblr, so it's been making the internet rounds.

Lost, yay, corner of shame! I bet it's full of fun people.

Biggles, thanks. Can you tell I got really super excited when I came back to Mene and realised they'd released WHIPS? (Also can you tell I love BDSM? Working in a sex shop does dirty things to your brain...)

Hah. I've just spent the last two days staying at home, surfing the internet and eating foods (so needed! I feel so refreshed today and read for the world). And today I'm going to work. Not really that interesting, but it is what you make it I guess, and I think life in general is really interesting and exciting. :)

That's a pretty good attitude. I must say I too believe it, even if I don't always live it.

It is an adventure! And full of incredible things, if you only open your eyes enough to see them. I always try to see things as if I'm seeing them for the first time, and try to be as spontaneous as I can. Accept the chances offered, don't be afraid to try new things, try everything twice, be open minded but question everything at the same time, and do one thing every day that scares you.

Also, listen to this regularly:

I have that song favourited and on a special playlist on my youtube. I remember one of the first comments I ever made to you was recognising the quote in your signature

I regularly listen to it to make myself feel good, and I regularly recommend it to people, especially if they're feeling down for any reason. And the quote in my signature is my favourite part of the song, along with "do not read beauty magazines; they will only make you feel ugly".. as much for the message as for the way it is said and the placement within the song itself. It's just very impressive, in a way.

On a similar note: I have this one friend who, every time he sees me, makes a comment about me having lost weight. He just did now on a picture on facebook that was taken not that long after I saw him last, so I know it's not true, though I might look a bit thinner on the picture than I do in real life. I'm just wondering if this is supposed to be like the ultimate compliment or something? I honestly don't care about losing weight at all, the only exercises I do are push-ups, crunches and some leg exercises and those are only to gain and maintain a bit of muscle strength. I know he means well but it's just like.. every time I see him he mentions it. I dunno.

:glomp:Thankyou!

I especially like Moby Dalek.

Also: it would be inordinately cool if there were bbc Doctor Who smileys for this board. And then we cold post little police boxes and stetsons...

D'aww. Tom Baker child is especially sweet.

I saw these in Tesco last night and had to get a picture. Dalek multi-coloured pens! I don't know why they amuse me so much compared to the rest of the Doctor Who stationary. Some of them look like they're going to attack the nearby TARDIS pencil cases.

Gahhh, I'm so jealous of how much DW merchandising is available in the UK. :gonk: I have to make expensive orders just to have my pick from a really small selection of stuff... That being said, those pens look like they'd be rather difficult to write with, unless the Dalek comes off. But I... find myself wanting one nonetheless.
