"okay Sly, the dominion jewel should be just behind this vault door." Bentley's voice came in a little static-y over the binnocucoms. His fingers could be heard typing away on his computer as he tried to find a way around the vault. "Look around and see if you can find a way in. My scans are picking up nothing through the walls. They're too thick!"
"Oh an hurry! Since Carmelita disappeared from interpol, Constable Neyla has taken over. And we all know how crafty that leopard can be."

Sly stuck to his crafty ways, slipping past whatever guards were at the entrance of the building taking a more preferred method of entrance through an open window at the top. He had made his way to a safe which carried a very delicate item, the "Dominion Jewel". Such a fortune couldn't belong in the filthiest of hands, which was why he was there to take it back. But the vault door was in his way when he finally came to the room. Bentley was right, though; he needed to hurry. His ears flinched at the thought of Neyla. A shrewd character she was.
"I think I might've missed something, Bentley," he said over the Binnocucom examining the thick, metal door. "It looks like there's a number to open this door." Sly's ears perked hearing a pair of footsteps coming near the room. "Oh, that's it. Bentley, I bet the Marquis's gonna show off his prize. I'm gonna wait low and see if I can catch him when he unlocks the vault door."

"Good idea, try to catch the code as well in case we have to use that at some point." The Binnocucom was getting ever more static filled.
The Marquis came around the corner and padded up to the vault door, two body guards followed closely behind. The Marquis looked around the room before typing in the code "2,4,7." The vault swung open, and even Bentley over the static filled Binnocucom could hear the roar of outrage.
"Lock down the premises! Find Sly Cooper!" He had walked back out of the vault and was holding one of Sly's calling cards.

"Right," he said taking up a hiding space on top of a hutch at the other end of the room. It was a good spot for now.
He watched the short entrepreneur from up high carefully and looking through his Binnocucom at the numbers feeling satisfied having witnessed it. But something was wrong after the man came running out in his fit of anguish. Sly noticed what he was holding in his hand and tilted his head in confusion.
"Uh, Bentley, I haven't been thieving in my sleep again, have I? The Marquis has one of my calling cards. I've gotta get out of here before I'm trapped." His voice was partial static over their device.
The only way out without as much notice would be the way he came in from, the top window on the other side of the room. They were going to see him anyway--it didn't matter. But what was going exactly? Who put that card there? Sly leaped off of the hutch and grabbed onto a beam on the ceiling with his cane lifting himself on top. One of the guards saw him and pointed with a growl.
"There he is!"

"Get out of there Sly!" Bentley yelled into the binnocucom. He started to pack up everything from their hideout and shove it in the van. "Murray, get in the drivers seat. We need to grab Sly sand slip out of here."
Back to his computer in the back of the Van he checked back in with Sly. "How you doing? You out of there now at least?" Bentley was tapping away, checking all the surveillance they had around the city. "No interpol yet. Murray and I are on our way. Get there as fast as you can, and we'll all get out of here."

"The Murray is ready!" the bold, pink hippo punched his hand into his fist.
He quickly (as quick as he could) left the hideout with Bentley and hurled himself into the van at the driver's seat. After his friend was ready as well, the van screeched while the engine roared and they were off in a hurry.
Meanwhile, the thievish raccoon was avoiding the shots of gunfire from the two guards in the room. He danced across the beam on the ceiling and jumped through the window reaching his cane out to latch onto a drain pipe off to the side. He quickly climbed up the building, his tail swinging behind him. Finally reaching the roof top he tuned into Bentley.
"I'm fine for now, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna come after me. Not like it'll take much to out run them." His brows philandered. "Try to hurry up, though," he added hearing voices yelling from below.

(my computer froze >.> during my post. -.- )
"I'm sending our location to your binoccucoms." Bentley said as he tapped the Van's particular radiowave frequency into the computer. He silently cheered that the radio frequency between their mics was now static free. Something inside must have been messing with it. Most likely the vault walls that had stopped his scanner from working.
Sirens could not be heard in the distance and Bentley cursed under his breath. "You should be able to see us momentarily, we're almost at the Marquis fancy gates."

((Oh, crap. Dx I hate it when that happens. >__<))
Finally, a clear signal. Sly's device was able to pinpoint Bentley and Murray's location. He was right; they weren't that far away and Murray was driving like a demon through the narrow roads in Paris just to get there as fast as possible.
Two guards had made their way onto the rooftop and cracked their knuckles into the palms of their hands seeing Sly as he stood at the edge of the mansion's roof. The thief's eyes glanced over to the ground below seeing the van quickly approaching and hearing the wheels screech over the pavement.
"Hand over the jewel," one guard said with a show of his teeth.
"Well, I would if I had it," Sly responded with a shrug putting his cane over his shoulder.
Both of the men squinted their eyes narrow and charged. Sly's reaction was only to leap off of the building and onto a wire that connected the Marquis's home to another building. The van was already there with a loud halt by the gates out front. Sly hurried down the building, though the guards still followed suit, and dashed to the van as fast as he could.

Bentley popped open the back doors as the car screeched to a halt at the gate. As soon as Sly had leaped in the back he turned and told Murray to floor it. Grabbing the doors and swinging them shut just in time before the van took off once again. As they sped into a side alley they could hear the sirens getting dangerously close and than they saw the squad cars speed by just behind them heading toward the Marquis' mansion.
"Good timing." He noted. Now they could settle down for the ride, even though settling down meant he would be trying to figure out what had gone on.

Sly held onto his seat tightly as their expert driver sped away from the scene. He saw the cars with their flashing lights make their stop at the mansion in the background until his view was blocked by a building as they turned. Sly had a curious look on his face after Bentley spoke. What exactly was going on?
"So what's the deal, Sly?" Murray asked as he kept his eyes on the road.
"If I'd know any better, I'd say I was being framed." He rested his arms on the top of the front seats behind his friends, scratching his chin curiously. "Seems like someone's trying to get ahead of our game."

"If my calculations are correct we should be able to stop just outside the city Murray so we can recooperate." Bentley said pushing up his glasses before he turned to Sly. "And it would appear that is exactly what is going on."
He sat in silence for a while as he tried to think of how to go through all the facts that had led them to this case. "I'd say we head back to that bar. Do some reconnaissance there and see if we can catch any mysterious gossip to find out who's trying to frame us this time." He finally said after awhile, "Though it could technically be just against you on this one Sly."

"Aye-aye!" Murray responded boisterous firmly grasping the wheel.
Somewhere gossip was sure to be heard and what better a place to hear the latest rumors than at a bar? The van was quickly en route to Bentley's suggested destination. The cops were long off their tail for the meanwhile, anyhow. Sly's brows furrowed, though at the same time he gave a small half-smile, when his partner spoke out.
"Well, whoever their problem's with they got away with a very priceless jewel. Hmm."

:Uh oh." Bentley could tell the gleam in Sly's eyes. "You're going to steal it back, aren't you?" He knew it was a waste of time to add try to steal it back, Sly would get it if he wanted it. "Let's at least get the plan down first." He started to tinker away on some devices that they could use to hear out rumors from the bar.
Something small like a coaster. Many bars actually used coasters now, and they'd probably love the gift. Surprise with the thin technology hidden inside that would let them track rumors all over the bar rooms, transmitting them right back to Bentley's computer.
As he worked, he plotted. "To start with, pay close attention to any mention the Dominion Jewel. But it wouldn't hurt to look for other rumors as well. Maybe we can pick up another side job, though be careful. It could be another trap. I think we all need to go in on this one. Divide and Conquer so to speak."
(i'd say rumors might include strange going ons about carmelita. :] )

(( Aye! :3 ))
Ah, Bentley knew his friend a little too well. No one would beat him at his own game--provided that whoever took the jewel actually was playing the same game. Chances are, it was stolen for another reason. Sly stared at his short friend with the stare he knew too well as a response to his question. But in the meantime there was another job to do. The van quickly approached the bar but parked out of sight for now. Bentley's idea was pretty clever. People were always talking about the latest goings-on in a bar. They were just that type of place to do something like that. Regardless, their mission was about to start and eavesdropping was the best way to go about it.
"I wonder if they have anything good to eat at this place," Murray said thinking with his stomach. It's been a long evening. He was hungry.
"We can eat after we've gathered enough information from this place. Someone's bound to be talking about the event that just happened, I'm sure," Sly said.

Bentley just finished the coasters as they pulled up to the bar. "Here guys," he said handing them each a few. Sly a few more because he could switch them out all over the bar without people noticing. "Try to get these around the bar, they're frequency is tuned to my computer, and they have built in listening devices so that if we miss anything while we're in there, we might pick it up later when I review the tapes."
He gulped nervously, it wasn't usually his and Murray's job to do reconnaissance work on the field. So to side track his thoughts, "It's a bar Murray, their dishes are probably under par, and covered in grease and cooking oil."

Both Sly and Murray took their set of coasters ready to approach the bar. Not like it wasn't a shady place or anything, so it wouldn't hurt to be cautious. Murray fiddled with his fingers at Bentley's remark, still hungry regardless.
"Yeah, but the greasy food is always the tastiest."
The three motioned towards the entrance; Sly opened the door first and gazed with eyes about the place.

"I suggest we split up to try and cover the most area as possible." Bentley said almost stuttering with nerves under his breath to keep from others overhearing. It was likely that 'The Murray' would wander off to get food anyways and break into some loud conversation with people at the bar; and that Sly would most likely have the entire place covered with rigged coasters in a matter of minutes and be causally chatting with someone soon after. As for himself, what could he do?
(we are doing this as an alternate before the third game correct?/ end of the second?)

(( Yeah~ ^^ ))
"Got it," both Murray and Sly said simultaneously.
The three entered the bar viewing all that was inside. The place was a little full but not too crowded. Sly glanced about the room at the tables taking notice at the places where he could plot his coasters. Murray was doing just likewise, though his nose caught the smell of something good, distracting him for a moment until he shook his head, telling himself to stay focused on the plan. Sly glanced again but back to Bentley observing his shifty and nervous demeanor.
"Don't worry, Bentley," he said quietly, "we've got this." He encouraged with a smirk and proceeded further inside.
