This is a story of a family who has a curse upon them. The Curse of the Zodiac. If the cursed member is hugged by the opposite sex or under a great deal of stress, they turn into one of the zodiac animals.



In this particular story, its been a couple of generations since the Sohma family met Tohru Honda. There is a new set of cursed Sohma's trying to live a normal life.

People say I'm bipolar. One minute I could be your best friend, the next I could be your worst nightmare. When I'm in my good moods, I try to be friendly though I'm a little shy. I'll smile and say "hello" but won't generally start a conversation after that. When in my bad mood, you won't want to be around me. I throw things and call people names. I'll also blurt out their deep dark secretes if I happen to know them. I will make anyone and everyone suffer..
I've been through a lot. While growing up, my mother did her best to teach me how to be good. Unfortunately being bipolar, I wasn't always the best of childs. Eventually, my mental problems became such an issue that my mother couldn't bare to watch. My father tried to step in to change that. He would beat me with a stick until I bled. After a few months of the torture, I had had enough. During one of our "sessions", I grabbed his hand, clawing at it with my nails. He was taken to the emergency room and now I only see him walking to and from his home in the Sohma estate.
I've learned to maintain my crazy emotions for the most part over the years and when I turned 14, I decided I wanted to go to a public school. The first year was a bit of a hassel because I had to have guards next to me the entire day, and not for me either. For the most part, I've learned the signs for when I go into a bad mood and I stay home from school on those days.

I've been through a lot. Finx was born in a family of sohma that were surprised that she was born as the monkey. Her mother regected her and her father had to take care of both of them till her mothers memory was erased shortly before her tenth birthday. She lives on the sohma estate and only leaves when its time for school.She doesn't hand around the other zodiac much unless its new years or she happens to bump into them at the estate. She loves God with all her heart and like the others wouldn't do anything that would cause pain to God.

People say I'm short-tempered but confident in everything that I do, at least with people who aren't close to me. Those that do know me rather well know that, that is only a mask I use with the outside world. Deep down I'm rather easy going and much gentler then I appear. That of course doesn't mean I don't have a temper, and I can be rather destructive if I lose myself in anger, however I tend to keep it in check. If I do express any sort of anger with others it's usually a more toned down version unless they get me extremely upset, which can be a tricky thing to do considering I'm a rather accepting person. I've also been told I appear to have quite a bit of energy, which I guess can make people have some difficulties keeping up with me, or so I've been told.
I've been through a lot. It's not everyday that you give birth to a son that turns into a small sea 'dragon', or sea horse as their commonly called when you try to hug him so I guess to say my parents were shocked would be a bit of an understatement. Given my 'condition' it was pretty easy to tell I was one of the cursed zodiac children. This of course caused mix feelings and issues among my folks. My mother became rather overprotective and a bit overbearing, especially when my father left claiming that my mother had failed to give him a normal son he could be proud of. I figure the fear of me leaving her alone is what's really driving her insane protectiveness.
This has caused me a few issues however. I don't really get to spend much time with the other zodiac members, since mother doesn't want me away from her side for very long. I did manage however to convince both the head of the house and my mother to allow me to first go to a public high school and then a college, with limited amounts of classes of course, with only one real incident. A girl, whom I had come to have rather strong feelings for and claimed had rather strong feelings for me in return, discovered my secret by accident. To say that she had been shocked was a drastic understatement. In truth she completely freaked out, making me realize that her feelings were not exactly the same. Really I found she was merely trying to use me as her cash cow and in order to try and keep that she attempted to black mail me. Neither I nor the family could really have that since it risked the Sohma family in general. To solve this issue it came down to having her memory wiped, which despite the betrayal I felt from her was still a relatively hard thing for me to have to do. I see her occasionally from a far through a small part time job in a pet store that I managed to convince both my mother and the family to allow me to have. The one thing I did gain from this though is it's best to not fall for someone on the outside, it'll only end in heartbreak.

People say I'm a bit shy but I know what I want. Those are mainly my followers. I just don't really like to talk to people unless they interest me. If it is someone that interests me, they learn that I can be outgoing and fun. I prefer the simple things in life even though it just so happens that I'm famous..
I've been through a lot. I grew up with a mother and a father, unlike many of the zodiac cursed. Both my parents loved me a great deal and did all that they could to keep me happy. I'm not saying they completely accepted the fact that I was cursed. I could tell it tore my mother apart not being able to hold her own son without me changing into an animal she fears. But eventually she came to terms with that fact about me and was just happy enough that she had a son of her own.
My parents put me in an all boy's school, expecting me to become a doctor or a lawyer. Instead, a few days before I graduated, a man walking by our school saw me and asked me if I would like to be a model. I knew I looked "good" but this surprised me. After thinking about it a few days, I told my parents about it. They again were a little disappointed about my career choice but encouraged me to follow my heart. I've been modeling for a little over 5 years now, and I can't even imagine quitting.

Akio sat at her desk looking at her untouched bento box. She wore the typical female's school uniform with spandex shorts underneath. This was something she had always done for many reasons but usually told the "I don't want any perverts try to see my undies" excuse. A sigh escaped her mouth as she picked up her chopsticks and began to eat rather slowly. As she did this, she watched the people around the room. They were all sitting with their group of friends.
Friends, she thought clenching her teeth and grabbing her chopsticks in a fist. A glare came over her face and for a few minutes, it seemed as if all hell would brake loose. Then she sighed once more and began to eat again. Ever since she started public school, people feared her. The only ones Akio had to consider "friends" were her cousins and even they sometimes ignored her.

Ah high school, it seemed all like a dream now, or at least that's what Keeno believed. It had only been a year ago that he walked the same halls and sat in the same desks to listen to the same uninteresting lectures of the teachers droll on. When he had gone to college he hadn't quite expected to return to his previous educational 'institution', or 'prison' as he sometimes use to call it. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy his time he just felt that some of the classes were a bit boring and necessary, especially with the increased freedom he had gain in picking classes that now piqued his interests...at least for the most part. There were a few still that he would have loved to skip, and in fact it was one of those that had brought him again. It was a class that required him to occasionally come back to his old high school to talk about his college experiences and give the future and potential college pursuers ideas of what to expect as well as answer any questions that they may have had. That of course meant that he was excused from his other classes of the day, not that he really had many, but that also meant that he was required to spend the rest of the day at the high school.


At the moment it was the lunch period, meaning that half the day was over at the very least and that for the time being he was free to wander around until the next period. He had wandered a bit, though after a bit he got a bit bored. It was then that he remembered that there were a few of his relatives that were in the same homeroom that he had been in when he had been there. Glancing up at the signs to figure out just which hallway he was in, not that he really needed to since he remembered the hallways relatively well, and realized he was only a few doors away.


With caution he began to make his way down the hallway, stopping only when reaching the doorway. Since it was the lunch period the door was left open to allow students to walk freely in and out of the classroom. Making a quick dash to the left, as some laughing school girls ran pass him who paused to stare at him momentarily before turning with blushed faces and quickly began making their way into the classroom once more with a new reason to giggle, and peered into the room. His gaze caught hold of the sight of one of his relatives and zodiac members, Akio, at her desk with what appeared to be an untouched bento box and glaring rather furiously. For a moment the green eyed male believed things were about to get relatively ugly though suddenly calmed rather unexpectedly.


Deciding that now would perhaps be the best time to approach Keeno once more carefully made his way towards an empty seat next to the other Sohma. “Eating all alone?” he asked the dark haired girl, an eyebrow raising in a surprised interest. Of all things he hadn't expected the Akio to not be flocked with others around her, then again the only times he really only saw her was at the estate and it was usually with at least a few of the other zodiacs there.

The girl looked up at the person talking to her only to find Keeno. She smiled slightly and looked down at her food. "It's not unusual," she stated before putting some rice in her mouth. She's seen him many times in the Sohma estate but never really had the courage to go up and talk to him. When she was younger, all of the older Sohma's that were cursed came and met her all at once and she's seen them all during their traditional New Year's celebration. Though since the last time she's seen her cousin up close, she can tell he's matured quite a bit. It flattered her that he sat down and talked to her, unlike most of the upper class men.

A slight blush came over her as this thought occurred and she swallowed her food. Akio continued to look down at her desk, trying her best to not make it noticeable. "W...would you like s...some food?" she asked pressing her lips together and looking up at him, not realizing she was still blushing. Akio's heart was pounding so loud that she could barely hear the other kids in the class room.

(I wonder where all the others are? o.O)

A small frown played on Keeno's face as he heard that Akio was typically by herself at lunch. He knew at times she could seem a little fierce to approach, but from he had been able to tell from his experience she was a rather remarkable girl. Of course he had heard of her shifting personalities, but then he didn't believe that should cause her to be alone. Besides shouldn't the other Sohma's that went here be here for the one deemed God among them? And even if that weren't the case the girl was still family. "We may have to see what we can do about that then. No one should be forced to eat alone, especially in high school" he replied with a small nod and a smile.

He would have thought at the very least her looks alone would attract a horde of worshipers. To him she seemed strong though a bit shy, at least when not in a violent rage, and had the looks of a true Sohma family member. She had more then what many of the shallower girls in the high school had to offer, or at least that's what he believed based on their maddening giggles and lecherous leering that seemed to be going on around them. 'The only thing their interested in are looks and looks alone...anything to increase their popularity or instill awe among their peers. And yet the flower that blooms brilliantly in a sea of dull colors is left alone, how very saddening' he thought with a slight sigh.

His attention was once more drawn to the now slightly blushing dark haired girl beside him. He honestly found it both surprising and somewhat cute to hear her stuttered slightly over her words. She couldn't possibly be nervous could she? After all they were family and did see one another during the New Years. Then again that made him realize just how little time he had actually been able to spend with the head of the family. "You've hardly touched it yourself. Aren't you hungry Akio? Don't tell me you're on one of those diets, because I'll tell you now you don't need it. You have a figure that any girl here would absolutely die for" he said with a small chuckle, as he desired to continue conversing with the other Sohma since he rarely had the chance to alone.

Finx sat at her desk listen intently as the teacher taught them math being the youngest sohma with the curse she was the only one still in middle school. She liked it just fine but she was jealous that the other zodiac got to spent so much time with akio. She couldn't what for the day to be over so she could be near her again.

Haku and Youko sighed with relief as the lunch bell rang, and they immediately rushed to sit with Akio and Keeno, basically the only two people they knew from having been in school so little. The silver-haired cat looked around, her blue eyes darting back and forth. Ever since her accident with the male student, earlier, she was afraid it would happen again. As for Haku, he just sat there, staring at the table. One thing people should have learned...The two never ate in public. At Sohma benefits, they ate at an empty table, backs to the crowd.
The twins sat there, one acting paranoid, the other just staring into space. The rat heard something intriguing and perked his ears, listening closely. 'Did you hear that those four are stating a gang?' He clenched his fists and closed his eyes, focusing away from the rude conversation.

"I'm not on a diet. I'm simply just not all that hungry at the moment," she stated right as she noticed the rat and cat walk in and sit down next to them. She watched the cat's strange behavior for a brief moment thinking of possible reason she could be reacting the way she was. "Hello you two," she said not sure if she should go on. Akio instead decided to chew on some more rice while she waited for someone to say something.

A boy sitting next to Finx kept looking at her as he wrote something down on a piece of paper. once he was done, he folded the paper up and waited for the teacher to turn to the chalk board before putting it on Finx's desk and then acting like nothing happened again once the teacher turned back around. The letter read "I think you are cool. Wanna be friends?"

Youko stared at the boy, her eyes wide. "Y-you!"she stammered, standing up abruptly, her chair falling backwards. It was him, the boy who accidentally bumped into her, and changed her. For a moment, she stood there, staring at the boy intently, her white hair almost sticking up as she glared. "I...I have to go..." she whispered, grabbing her bag and bolting for the door. She didn't look back as she ran from the school, all the way home. The anger she inherited from her mother had shown, as she pushed a group of females to the ground, who refused to move as she ran towards them.

Haku sighed softly and stood up, staring at the boy who had passed the note to Finx. It was obvious to him that this boy was the one who had scared Youko when he changed her. But, from what he could tell, he had not seen her change, nor discovered the secret that the Sohma family carried. "Akio...Would you like to come home with me? It'll take more than one person to stop Youko from tearing the houses down." Haku ran his fingers through his hair, and sighed again, but not in an annoyed way.

Finx frowned at the paper and then nodded at the boy. She would be friends with him but she knew she had to be careful of not touching him. Sure she wrote and handed it back with a small smile she knew though that she would only be around him during school.

((Note :: Finx is in the middle school where everyone else (starting at age 15) is in high school. Just pointing that out so things are a little more clear. :3 ))

(Lol that's what I thought. :XD And just to avoid any other misunderstanding that might arise in the future Keeno's technically in college, but currently in the high school for a class requirement. :sweat:)

One of Keeno's dark brown eyebrows rose slightly at Akio's words. "I see, you might end up hungry later on though-" he started to say before catching the sight of the ones with the curse of the cat and rat taking seats beside himself and Akio. Aside from the occasional visit to the main house, with the exception of the usual New Years celebration that required his attendance as one of the cursed, he really didn't get to see much of either one. The class that required him here was perhaps one of the few chances to see any of the other Sohmas.

Before he could really utter out a greeting to either one, Youko the one with the curse of the cat, suddenly stood shouting a single word before suddenly running off. His other eyebrow rose in surprise at the sudden outburst as it immediately drew attention to the now three sitting. "Do I even want to know what that was about?" he asked, still a bit taken aback by the display. His gaze shifted back and forth between Akio and and Haku, as the question of the dark haired girl coming back to the estates with the one cursed as the rat to settle Youko down. He had remembered his high school years being filled with...excitement but this was a bit of a different sort of 'excitement'.
