Trying his best to be strong for her, Anier mustered up a smile that wasn't worth much but it was a slight boost to his own moral. "I suppose now isn't the time to be playing the blame game." His heart was racing as he heard the steps closing in, and suddenly a wave of anger rushed over him. For all that he was, poor and a theif. Petty and worthless. A soon-to-be courtesan and a piece of filth. The one thing the elf boy wasn't was a coward. If he was going to be taken captive and killed, he would give them all something to remember him by.
As he stared into Siona's now calm gaze, a strange feeling washed over him and he felt stronger and more confident than he was before. Her words were foolish but she only said what he had been thinking which made them both fools. Death was something he wasn't prepared for. Not yet. Anier couldn't accept it. Siona started looking for an escape from this seemingly inexcapable situation, so the elven boy knew he had to help. The alley was still dark since the sun was only barely above the horizon but there was nothing here that either one of them could use.
There was a cart full of hay down the alley but they didn't have time to make it there and get well hidden in time. His female companion asked if he could reach the roof which gave him an idea. There was a window above them and a short wooden post sticking out above the window. If he could make it to the window, getting to the roof would be easy. He was sure he could do it, he'd done it plenty of times now, but what about Siona? "I can make it but can you," he whispered with obvious concern. Not like they had a great deal of time to try or any other options.
Backing up against the opposite side of the building, Anier ran at the wall and used a nearby barrel to catapult himself to the window. After situating himself on the window he jumped up and grabbed the wooden support and pulled himself up on the roof. Looking down at his friend, he frantically waved for her to follow suit. Then he heard something and turned around. The boys eyes got big. There were four archers up here with crossbows pointed right at him. Looking down at his companion, the boy sighed and pulled his dagger. He scanned them all with it knowing this was it.
I can't die here, not now. I don't want to leave Siona all alone. . .

Siona could see a change within Anier's eyes, replacing the previous sadness with something else, which brought another smile to her face. Her gaze then continued its quick scan and fell upon the same window. It was an easy enough climb she believed. At the elven boy's question a small but quiet giggle escaped her lips. "There are advantages to being half animal you know. I should be able to make it just fine" she replied confidentially. She knew however that the window was a bit too high for her to jump to, if only she had been only a few inches taller maybe it wouldn't have been such a problem, but then that didn't mean that there weren't other ways for her to get up there quickly enough it just meant that her way would be a bit more...unconventional.
Her gaze shifted as Anier backed up against the opposite side of the building and made a dash for the wall, and used a barrel to help launch himself up to the window. She wasn't too surprised that the elven boy made it, after all he did have some amazing agility, at least in her book. It wasn't too long before her gaze came to again rest on her friend as he frantically signaled her to follow up. She nodded and took her position against the same wall that the silver haired boy had used, though as she lined her back up with it the scent of something up above with Anier wafted to her nose. Instinctively she looked up and could see a faint gleam of something in her friend's hands and knew that whatever was up there wasn't something good for the least.
The clanking of metal continued to increase in sound making it clear that the ground Templars were quickly closing in. Without another thought the wolven girl quickly ran towards the wall, jumping onto the same barrel but instead of aiming upwards she catapulted herself towards the wall she had just ran from, using her sharper nails to cling momentarily to one of the looser stones, before again launching herself back towards the other wall jumping back and forth in a sort of zigzagging motion. She was lucky that the alley was narrow enough for her to accomplish her method of getting up towards the roof.
There was one problem with her method however that she hadn't quite thought of at the time, there wasn't really a way to exactly stop herself from the force of her legs that she had to use to launch herself. Perhaps it was fate choosing to smile on their situation or perhaps playing a joke on them, but either way her final launch propelled her towards one of the 'enemy', knocking him down and creating a bit of a distraction. "Ow..." she mumbled as she rubbed one of her arms that had ended up folded between herself and the 'pillow' of a guy she ended up landing on.

Making it up the wall had been done faster and easier than it had took them to come up with the idea, but it looked like there was a flaw in their plan. Unknowingly, Anier had called Siona up without checking his surroundings and he was now face to face with four Templar knights armed with crossbows. Instinctively, he pulled his dagger trying his best to put on a brave front. Then another one appeared from behind them. A long haired blonde and he was obviously in charge. You could tell because he had a badge on the front of his armor. Drawing his sword he pointed it at the elven boy, "Give it up elf, the commander wants your head."
Naturally Anier shook in defiance as his eyes darted around for an escape. Wait he knew this place. There was a cart full of hay on the opposite side of the building but how would they make it over there? Just then as the commander started to walk forward Siona came crashing into him. It created just enough of a distraction for Anier to snatch her wrist and drag her along, as they launched off the other side into the haystack. There wasn't a crate this time but at least they left the hay. Their landing was soft enough to not make a fuss over even though he hurt his ankle. "Come on," he whispered. There wasn't any time for idle chat or to feel sorry for himself.
He darted around the next corner, limping, with his friend linked behind him. After a few minutes of hobbling through the back streets, he couldn't hear the sound of armor anymore but he could still hear shouting. They were almost to the edge of the city now! Slowing down to a creep, and staying low he turned and whispered to Siona wincing a bit with a crooked grin, "Looks like we'll make it after all." That was the only thing good that had come of this. In the fuss he had lost his breakfast and his shirt, not to mention that it was just daybreak so he wouldn't be able to return to the city until dusk, if at all. The whole situation bode ill for the both of them now but what could they do.
The elven boy wracked his brain for answers that weren't there, "What are we going to do," he thought aloud. The two of them were now outlaws in Valencia, and would almost certainly be hunted for it. That didn't give them much choice. He had never left Valencia since he was old enough to walk so he had no idea what was outside the city until recently, and even then he only went as far as the lake in the forest. "Siona. . . Have you ever been outside the city?" He needed to know if she knew anything about their surroundings, because he certainly didn't.

Siona had just barely been able to realign her scrambled thoughts when she suddenly felt a hand quickly snatch her wrist and pull at her. For a split second she thought perhaps it was one of the others that were on the roof and was about to fight back when she suddenly caught it was Anier pulling her. Like before she allowed him to pull her in the direction he wanted. Terror momentarily ran through her mind however as the pulling led to leaping, blindly for her, off the other side and landing in a hay stack.
The wolven girl didn't have the chance to attempt to slow her rapidly beating heart before once more being led away quickly. Her other arm stung a bit as it moved while they both continued one and she noticed too that her friend in front of her had a bit of a limp to his dash. Concern crossed her face, especially after their pace slowed and the male soon whispered with both a wince and crooked smile that they would make it. The idea of food hadn't quite crossed her mind, nor the state of shirtlessness her friend was currently in until the danger had, for the most part, passed enough for her mind to catch up to their current situation.
Her gaze turned towards Anier as his thoughts were expressed aloud followed by the question if she had ever been outside of the city. "When I was younger yes. If I remember correctly further into the woods there should be a summer home of a fallen noble family. The line's pretty much eradicated so no one really visits it or uses it, plus with the increase of deaths and disappearances in the city I doubt many will risk venturing there anyways. Plus a lot of people are afraid of some of the wild animals. I'm sure the entrances and windows are boarded up and it's probably in a bit of rough condition but we might be able to take shelter there for now. Plus the sooner we can get you off your feet the better" quietly explained with an almost melancholy tone as well as expressing that she had noticed he was injured. She figured the place she had described would be suitable enough to hide them for the time being, or at least be better then to simply wander about aimlessly.
From the sounds of the shouts though it didn't appear that the Templars had quite caught on to exactly where they had gone just yet, and there was a chance that perhaps they wouldn't for at least a little while. The wolven girl closed her eyes for a few moments as she thought. Her one arm was still hurting and Anier ended up injured as well. There was a bit of cover that they could use temporarily that could enable them to rest up a bit..."Though perhaps we should get you off your feet for now anyways. That'll give us a chance to find out how bad it is and where I'll be expecting a bruise" she suggested in both a serious yet joking tone.

Anier listened to his friend with one ear while listening to for their pursuers out the other. It looked like they weren't too close to finding them which was good. It meant that they could rest, but more importantly, it meant that they had more time to get away and create more distance between them. Apparently his partner was of a differing opinion but for the first time, the elf didn't care, "Siona if you know where this summer home is, lead the way or tell me how to get there. We don't have time to sit and rest hoping they can't locate us. Let's take this time to get a little more distance and get out of the city so they have to search for us out here. It'll be a while before they even think of that," he pleaded.
Sadly, if she decided not to go with him, then he would have to leave her. Anier had always told himself he didn't want to die in this wasteful city and now he was more determined not to than ever before. There was a major soft spot in his heart for his companion with her being his only real friend but death wasn't going to be his caretaker today. The elven boy grimaced as a sharp pain shot through his leg and up his spine. He could still hear the clamoring going on father in town, the frantic search was still on.

(Lol no worries. :D I'll do a bit of a travel skip so that you'll have more to work with. ^.^)
Siona let out a sigh as she heard Anier's plea to keep going. The wolven girl caught the sight of her friend's grimace and knew the question of whether to simply tell him how to get to it or go along with him to show him no longer became a question. "As if I could leave you alone in that condition. It's reckless but I can still understand your reasoning nevertheless. Following the main road that leads into the forest from the city for about a mile or two before venturing off of it and heading west directly into the forest will eventually lead you there, however it can be relatively perilous if you don't know the way or able to do a bit of climbing" she quietly explained closing her eyes for a moment as she quickly recalled the path to it. It was one she had taken relatively often when she was younger, though it had been a little while since she had actually been at the home, after all with the family gone there was no longer a reason.
"The main road will be too dangerous at the moment so we can travel a bit of distance away from it while still heading in the same direction. I should be able to either see when or figure out when it is we'd have to make the turn normally from it. Either way it will still take a bit of time for us to get there, especially since we'll have to be careful not to be seen" the wolf girl said with a sigh as she opened her eyes. Gently she pulled on the wrist that she hadn't freed from the male's grasp, not that she really minded however, in order to take the lead and try to offer at least some support.
Her eyes darted around quickly as her ears swiveled around to try and pick up any sound of immediate danger. Once she was certain that they'd be clear to move from their current spot she quickly began to lead in the direction that she knew the wooded areas of the main road were, reminding herself quickly exactly which side they would need to be on. The sun was beginning to encroach further on the surrounding area, meaning they had to move even quicker if either one hoped to make it a bit safer area. Fierce shouting and yelling helped allow the light haired girl to keep tabs on exactly how far behind or near their current pursuers were. From what she could tell they still hadn't quite made it too close to the edge of the city to really be a current threat, but it wouldn't be too long before the armored bodies would swarm the area.
The set pace didn't slow much, even when they had reached the somewhat safety of the wooded forest, until she could just barely make out where the main road was. Due to the denseness of the trees the area was still relatively darkened with the occasional stream of light peeping through the layers of over sized and densegreenery above, causing the girl's eyes to slightly shift towards a more animalistic look in order for her to see clearly the path ahead.
For a forest she noticed that it seemed a bit more hilly then she had last remembered, although she hadn't ever really ventured as far from the road as they were currently traveling. Tree roots seemed to spring up in increasing frequency as the ventured further on, causing her to pause at times or whisper a quick word of warning to her companion, whom she was keeping a constant check on in case she needed to slow the pace or if it appeared the pain was getting too great. She could feel an almost numbness growing in her other arm, which concerned her a bit, though it was simply something she would have to check on once they had reached the abandoned summer home.
It was some time before Siona paused and took a slightly longer glance at the main road that was still a fair distance to their right. "We turn here...A little further that way and we should be able to see it" she said quietly pointing off towards the left. From what the wolf girl could tell from the sunlight on the road and the gradual lighting of their path, the sun was slowly beginning its climb and was well into the morning now. She could feel a hunger growing in the pit of her stomach, although it hadn't quite voiced itself yet, and wondered if the elven boy was feeling the same. The food that he had managed to swipe back in the town had been lost during their escape, so she knew that food would have to be something that they would have to find in the woods themselves. There were plenty of animals though catching them would be a bit of a different story. They hadn't managed to really bring anything with them other then the clothes on their backs and each other, after all the wolven girl hadn't quite expected the sudden turn of events of the morning.
With a small sigh and slight shake of her head she pushed the thought of food away, knowing full well that thinking of it wasn't going to do anything but make her hungrier. Her ears twitched at a sudden sound, causing her to tense slightly, though she soon relaxed as she identified it as one of the 'natives' of the forest as a squirrel romped happily in the branches above.
She then passed a small smile back at Anier as she gently pulled at her wrist once more to indicate she was moving again. The path now was a bit more then just simple hills. Rocks littered the area, broken and whole alike and covered in moss as they attempted to blend in the vegetation of the forest floor. A broken hill or two with jagged rocks crossed their path here and there as Siona did her best to find the easiest path for both of their sakes. The time passed seemed to pass almost slowly to the wolfen child as their made their way.
After awhile however the reward of the sight of the old summer home soon came into view. Siona hadn't exaggerated when she had said that the place had been unused for quite some time. The stone path that lead to rusted broken gates had been torn up and overrun with roots and weeds, while half of the gate entrance swung noisily back and forth, banging against it's more solid partner with a resounding bang. The faded image of a crescent moon and wolf head, a crest that perhaps belonged to the family that once owned the house, was chipped in various places.
Beyond the gate the path was overrun with a wild garden of weeds that ran rampant along and in the broken cobble path. In the center laid a broken stone that clearly belonged to the dried up fountain that it laid before. The house itself was relatively large, though the front was assaulted by the surrounding hedges and vines that grew haphazardly along its front. The windows were boarded up almost carelessly as missing fragments of glass could be seen here and there. Beneath the various vines and shrubbery the outside walls and front door seemed, if not a bit worn, to be relatively sturdy despite the disaster of the surrounding area, showing that it had only been abandoned for a year or two.
"Well this is it. We should be fairly safe from discovery here..." Siona stated quietly as she turned her gaze from the saddening state before her and towards her friend.

Aneir smiled to his friend as she agreed to come with him, and at the same time tried to hold back a wince from the intensifying pain. He had no idea how much longer he'd be able to move with ease, with the pain in his leg was gradually getting worse which was why he wanted to get moving as soon as they could; to keep the swelling down for as long as possible.
When Siona tugged at his wrist the male followed willingly and allowed the wolven girl to lead him into the depths of the forest. The first portion of the journey was quiet and didn't require them to spend much effort thinking about anything other than making sure they were going in the right direction and that lasted for a while, but as they dredged deeper into the forest it became more difficult to make out their location in regards to the road. The elf was impressed with his companion as she led their way seeming to know exactly where to go as they kept a fairly brisk pace. He was grateful for the brief break he got but wasn't good for his body.
Sweat rolled down the sides of the boys face as he struggled to keep up and the pain and swelling in his leg got worse. Were it not for Siona tugging at him, the boy wasn't sure he would've kept going on his own. He wiped his forehead with his free hand as she led them through a dense rooted area of the forest, and he tried his best not to slow her down. It was a hilly area as well, which troubled him since his ankle was stiff and almost the size of an orange now, but he pressed on through it with help.
Anier tried not to think of the morning meal they had lost but between the two empty stomachs' rumblings it was hard to keep it out of mind. His body was in full out rebellion mode as his heartbeat was presently felt from his swollen ankle and his stomach was protesting loudly at the prospect of no food. It was a good thing that he always kept his knife with him, though he wouldn't be able to catch anything with it himself.
As they continued to weave their way through the dense forest vegetation, Siona announced they were close which was good news to the exhausted elf. Anier was tired of this trip but knew it was necessary. It wasn't too much longer before the house was in sight and they were walking into the front gate. It was a good sized house and appeared to be abandoned for some time now, except, "I think someone's. . . been here," but before he could explain everything went black.

(Bleh my mind blanked. ><)
Siona's ear twitched as she heard her friends statement. Dark teal eyes once more turned towards the house as her eyes narrowed a bit from the statement, as she tried to figure out what it was Anier meant. "What do you..." the wolf hybrid began to ask when she suddenly felt a bit more weight on the side the elven boy was on. She had only a moment to turn her gaze towards her friend, when she felt what seemed like a pinprick on the back of her neck. She hadn't even a chance to utter out a word before an encroaching darkness invaded her vision completely.
It was sometime later that the dripping water reached the wolven girl's ears that caused some fog of consciousness began to form in her mind. Slowly her other senses began to come to her, the smell of dust and dampness, the muffled sound of voices, the dull throbbing in the back of her mind and the feeling of something rough wrapped around her arms, wrists and legs. A muffled sound escaped her lips as she slowly began working on opening her eyes. Things were fuzzed and blurry, with what appeared to be shapes moving around. Blinking a few times she became vaguely aware of a bundled mass near her.
Slowly she attempted to lift her tail, noting that it was laying on the side, meaning she too was laying on her side. Carefully she directed her nose towards the mass, attempting to at least get a hint of where she was, though the scent that came to her was one she hadn't quite expected. "An..ie..r..?" she whispered quietly as she attempted to move towards the mass, though found it a bit difficult. Her senses were becoming relatively clearer and now she could vaguely make out that they were in a room of some sort, though a room where exactly she wasn't sure just yet.

It was dark, but he could hear voices. A familiar voice, and one he was only faintly familiar with. Then it registered. His name, someone was calling his name but he couldn't remember who it was. His mind was foggy and he couldn't muster up the strength to open his eyes. There was something coming from his leg too. A cooling sensation against the ankle that troubled him. It still hurt but not as bad as it had before, or maybe it was and he just couldn't remember? Struggling to find energy right now all he could do was listen to what went on around him as he fought for consciousness at the moment.
Moving around the house at a slow practiced pace, the brunette male stood over his table as he mashed together leaves from certain plants while mixing them with water and other materials. He was making a poison, but not of the same kind that he'd used on the children over there. No, he planned to use this poison to actually kill his true target. The Templar Commander, Hiyat. It was said that Hiyat was an impossible target, which was why he took the hit. As many times as they had tried to kill that man, no one had succeeded or even attempted it and made it back alive. That left him with only two thoughts. Either he was extremely guarded, or he was a monsterous fighter. On top of that, he wasn't even that old. Supposedly Hiyat was only 26 which was unheard of for someone that young to be Commander of the Templars, so there was something about him that no one else had.
Hearing a faint voice coming from the other room where he'd placed the children, the male went to investigate. He stopped at the door to see the wolf girl trying to wake her friend, "Unlikely that he'll wake up anytime soon girl. Leave him be and let him rest. Are you hungry?" He knew the girl. She was the one he'd spared all those years ago when he emptied this house of its inhabitants. The poor girl had no idea, but nor would he tell her. There was a reason he spared her life. She was special. That night, he killed her family, she'd watched it all happen. And instead of crying like any other child would, she only stared at him with almost lifeless eyes. It not only impressed him, but it stirred something in him that he though he had lost. So he took the girl and placed her on the doorstep of the Gemma's. Not out of mercy or to give her a better life but because it would harden her even more.
Apparently somewhere along the line she had made friends with this elf, and to be honest he was interesting as well. See he'd come back to this house the day the caravan claimed they were leaving to scout for new possible recruits. Siona had already been under his surveillance but the boy had just recently piqued his interests. Being an elf, he was already a naturally talented acrobat not to mention light on his feet. He'd seen him playing with that knife and for his age, he was pretty good with it though far from being as lethal as one of his trade would need to be with one. Maybe meeting the two of them that day had been fate. They were both good prospects with nothing to lose and no old lives to really leave behind. The real question was were they willing to accept his offer?
This was the first time Ghayn had ever considered taking on an apprentice, and somehow he had two prospects in mind. No, he'd train the girl but he'd send the boy to the brotherhood for training. There was no way he would bother to deal with them both. Though if either of them declined, he'd be forced to kill them after their talk. No one outside the brotherhood was suppose to know his real identity. It was part of the creed and he'd keep it that way.
(I think I'll be playing Ghayn for a little bit.)

(Lol ok. :XD)
A slight worried expression passed over Siona's face as Anier didn't wake. "Anier..." she whispered again, quietly as her voice, though not coming out in the broken gasp as before, still couldn't quite reach its normal volume. She had managed to roll a bit closer to the unconscious male, though not enough for her to even touch him, finding that the heavy feeling of her body would make it impossible and unwise to continue. Her sense of pain was beginning to come back even clearer as well from her arm, which only convinced her further that continuing the futile effort would do more harm then good.
She was about to call out again to the elven male when her ears suddenly picked up the sound of floorboards creaking and the sound of an unfamiliar yet distantly familiar voice that she couldn't quite pin. Instinctively a growl, or as close to a growl that she could currently get, bubbled in her throat warningly. Her gaze slowly began working its way around towards where she had heard the voice and question posed to her to see a shape of a person. "...No..." she quietly attempted to growl out, only for a sudden loud growling of her stomach to try and cut her off. "What's it to you?" she tried, knowing well that with her body answering it would be pointless for her to continue with the sunken lie.
Her senses still were fully up to par, but for now she felt they were enough for the current basic needs. She couldn't quite see the person in detail, but she could see the outline and she could hear the creaking boards under the male's weight although it sounded slightly muffled and swam with the dizziness in her head. Going against her previous decision she tried to move again, and though failing to make progress forward she had managed to at least curve herself into a slightly more protective laying stance, even though she knew that if an attack were to occur she wouldn't have the strength nor the possibility to move with her bound limbs. It was hard enough to roll to where she was now, let alone to try and roll away quickly if need be. Instead the only thing she felt she could rely on at the moment was the idea of sounding threatening and dangerous.
"Are you a Templar or with them or something? Because I swear if you think just because I'm bound that doesn't mean I won't be able to rip you to shreds if you even try anything funny...buster!" she growled, again trying to make herself sound threatening enough to at least buy some form of time, though with her mind being as muddled as it was she realized her 'insulting name' perhaps wasn't the best of choices. She also attempted a glare, though found with her current sight it made her loose focus of where the outlined figure was. Of course far be it from her to let the 'enemy' know that so instead of simply ceasing immediately she contented herself just glaring the general direction that the figure was in.

Leaning against the doorway as the girl attempted a feeble growl that ended up being her stomach speaking more than her, "So, you intend to lie to appear tough?" The master assassin grinned and shrugged, "Well since you're not hungry no need to feed you then I guess." Then when she asked if he was a Templar Ghayn couldn't stop himself from laughing hysterically. This girl was fiesty even in her current situation, "Do I look like a Templar to you? And with that being said, you're not bound. You were hit with a tranquilizer, you should be regaining the feeling in your limbs shortly since you're already awake." Running his fingers through his hair and scratching his head in the process the tall athletic looking figure contemplated on how to best say this. It didn't matter right now, but they'd have to break it to them and have them make a decision by tomorrow morning or he'd kill them.
"So what brings you two little one's out here in these parts of the woods to my safehouse?" He pretended to look a bit more serious although he knew why they were here. He had eyes and ears all over that city and his raven had been bringing him current news on them for the past few weeks. Siona's life was more or less the same as it usually was. She caused a little mischief here and there but never anything too serious but apparently after the fun in with the Templars, the elf boy had plotted his revenge, although it was a childish thing to do so in the way he did, but you couldn't expect much from someone of his age anyway. Now the two of them were running because they had no place left to go.

Siona's attempted glare remained plastered, even though she wasn't entirely sure it was pointed in the right direction. "Even if I was hungry I wasn't born yesterday. Accepting food from someone who attacks kids doesn't exactly sound like the best of ideas. Besides it could very well be poisoned for all I know, so even if you placed food in front of me, I wouldn't be so desperate as to accept what could potentially be lethal anyways. So no I'm not hungry" she stated as close to a matter of fact tone as she could, although the mention of food once more drew a pleading growl from her stomach. She quickly tried to will her stomach to silence itself, however despite her attempts her stomach seemed to only continue to refuse the wolf girl's will and instead unleashed yet another defiant growl of protest.
The sound of laughter suddenly reached her ears, causing them to go unconsciously flat against her head. She didn't exactly see what was so funny about the question in the least. "Considering I can't really see you well I'm simply going to say yes, yes you do. I doubt there are many people in this world that would drug kids randomly in the woods. Perhaps it doesn't for you, but that sounds a bit fishy to me as well as some sort of sick and shadowy work of a Templar. Didn't anyone ever teach you drugs are bad for kids? And that still doesn't mean that I won't try and bite your ankles off anyways" she retorted back. A part of her knew it wasn't wise to upset someone whom you were currently at the mercy of, but then what kid ever listened to that side, and far be it for her to be one of the first.
As seemingly 'upset' as she was at the stranger she did have to note that her words of being able to feel her limbs soon enough was beginning to hold true, or at least true for all but one arm at the moment. Releasing her glare temporarily, mainly so she could at least see a bit better, she slowly and carefully began trying to will her body to move again, finding it a bit easier this time. Soon enough she managed to position herself upwards so she was at least a bit off the ground. Once she felt somewhat centered, though a bit dizzy from the sudden increase in height reacting to her still somewhat drug induced state, she then payed attention to the next question issued by the male. "That's a question I should be asking you. What brings you to trespassing on land you don't have permission to be on in the first place? This land isn't exactly opened to...the public" she again retorted, deciding that if he was indeed a Templar like she thought, and perhaps had no idea that she and Anier were now on the run from them, then leaking the information he asked wouldn't be in their best interest at the moment, at least not with the elven boy still down and her own body still not fully recovered. She was regaining some control, and with it came a slowly increasing sense of danger growing in the back of her mind, a sort of instinct that she didn't typically ignore. She could talk big, but when it came down to it she knew that with the current situation her threats were more hallow then anything else, she only hoped that the male didn't wish to try and test it out.

Ghayn's carefree smirk faded after listening to the girl's smart alack remark. She was being overly cautious, "Listen to me girl, cause I'm only going to say this once. The reason you and your elven friend were drugged was because neither one of you would have trusted me to just help you. Secondly, I've treated both of your injuries as well as offered you food when you're obviously starving. If your intend to persist this attitude I could easily kill you without a second thought and then you tell me how much big talk would be worth then?" Folding his arms over his chest, there was a toxic feel radiating off of Ghayn at the moment.
After the girl mouthed off to him once more, the assassin had endured enough from the child. Insolence had a price to pay. Closing the gap between the two of them within a second, Ghayn threw his hand across Siona's face violently. It was a strong enough slap to knock her senseless and probably give her a headache, bue he didn't use his full strength simply because her early death wouldn't be beneficial to him or anyone else at this moment. Taking a deep breath he calmed down and walked back across the room, stopping at the door and leaning on the seal. "Your mouth can get you killed girl. You should learn to play your surroundings better. If a situation doesn't sit in your favor then learn to do things in a manner that will benefit you, not get yourself killed simply because you can't hold your tongue. Being foolish is a cardinal sin in my line of work, and killing is my specialty."
He glared at the girl for a moment as he allowed his words to sink in. "I wasn't aware that an old abandoned rotting house was off limits to the public. No one comes here except me. You shouldn't even be here. Count your blessings that you're alive at all animal." He spoke to her in a condescending tone to see how she would react. He knew she was a hot-head, he'd learned that throughout his reports. But now that she'd been slapped stupid, maybe she would learn to take a step back and think before she spoke.

The fear that had been nestled back within Siona's mind came to a full front within only a matter of moments as she first felt and increased feel of a threat and caught a glimpse of what exactly they were up against. Her face was now to the side, a pulsing red mark on her cheek and a feeling of pain surging in her head. She hadn't been able to trace let alone see the movement of the other male, even as he returned to his door frame perch. The blow itself had managed to succeed in making her think a bit more as well as unconsciously shifted her eyes to once again their animalistic state. "I'll make it frank then. I don't trust you, nor do I agree with how you went about things. You assumed approaching us upfront would have put us suspicious and mistrustful of you. We're children for god sakes. You think drugging and putting us in a rather terrifying situation would establish trust? Might talk might only be big and hallow words, but at the moment it's all the defense I have. What were you honestly expecting? Me to shower you with words of gratitude?" she calmly replied. The tone of defiance had left her, and she couldn't even muster a growl. She had regained a fuller sense of feeling in her body, making her now aware of the faint shaking it had probably been doing since her awakening.
"Nothing is ever done for free, including help. The fact you say you can kill me at any point and haven't has already made that clear. Your 'assistance' too has a price, and I don't particularly like gaining a debt forced onto me. For all I know you could be a Templar or simply some sicko that wishes to play out some fantasy before disposing of us. I simply don't know. Fight or flight, those are the only answers to any situations I know. My mind has already told me over and over that for this situation flight is the best solution, however I can't even do that, I know rather well that fighting would only end up being a futile attempt. In truth you're expecting way too much in a situation that I personally see no ways of benefiting either myself or my friend, except possibly seeing what exactly price we would be forced to pay which could end up harming either one or both of us in the end. So in that light what is it you're wanting of us hm? Money, because clearly we don't have that. Power? Which is something you clearly have over the weaker in this situation. Slaves? The Gemma's have made that pretty clear that, that's a popular one, especially when you get them young. Or maybe some form of 'play things' that will amuse you for a few hours or days before you simply decide to kill them?" she quietly asked. In truth she was just as terrified of the answer as she was of the male, though she tried her best to hide it, convincing herself that if one of the last two were the answers that she would try to find a way for them to escape. Her face remained turned in the direction that the force of the strike had put it, though her gaze wandered over towards her unconscious friend momentarily.
Her ears perked momentarily at the description of the house before once again flattening to her head. "The house may be rotting and old and nothing more in your eyes, but for me it offered something more and still does. Although I knew it would take me awhile I do or did plan to restore it once more to its former glory, that is my right as the technical owner. Furthermore I am not some animal and my name isn't simply girl. I am Siona Mascarious, last of the Mascarious bloodline, and a wolf hybrid, meaning that although the blood of a wolf runs through my veins I too have human blood, and I would ask that you and the rest of this world remember that" she stated as she attempted to stir and use the last bit of bravery that she could muster to try and look at the man as fiercely as she could, despite her shaking. It had been some time since she had used or even spoken her last name, after all in the town it would all but get her killed, so it felt a bit strange to say it once more.

"Yes, you're children. And your thinking is that of a child's, not of a person trying to survive. You're hearing me but not listening. Let me explain why you should be dead right now." The male got comfortable against the door seal and let out a deep breath before continuing, "One. You're talking to me with your ideals. None of which translate to the reality of the situation you're in. So since you wanted to know what I was expecting, I was expecting you to realize the money you have at stake and bet it in the most reasonable way possible. Of course you're too naive right now to do that." It was clear to the assassin that the girl didn't understand nor was she trying to. The boy seemed to be more logical in most situations from what his reports had shown, maybe he would send the girl back and keep the boy?
"Two. Your mind is wrong. There is always more than the simple fight or flight options, you just have to be creative enough to find the other ones. You're not thinking logically. If I had truly intended on killing you by offering you food then why would I have wasted a tranquilizer on you? That's what you think correct? Then you went as far to say well if he's offering food then he must want something?" Ghayn scoffed at the wolf hybrid, "To be honest, your attitude makes me sick. I like a fire in a person but not ignorance. You're being ignorant and illogical. The two things I hate the most in a person." His tone was sharp and dangerous to warn the girl that she was on thin ice. "If you really think about this situation, how bad is it? I put you both to sleep then treated your wounds. When you woke up, I offered you a meal. I take it, your previous situation was more pleasant and suitable?"
Laughing at the girl in her anger he walked over to her and placed a hand on her head, "No matter what you think or say girl, the second you became a slave, you gave up the rights to your family name. Your house is dead and your name is a shadow of its former glory simply to be lost in the annals of a history book." His eyes gazed upon her without pity but seemingly with the possibility of hope, "Look to the future and not your past. Your family name is gone, so what is it that you hope to do now?" There was no way for a woman to resurrect a house without an heir in her belly and this girl was far too young for that option anyway. It was the cruelty of fate that had drug her down this road but she was going to have to accept that right now or else. Ghayn stood there anxiously awaiting her answer patiently.

Siona's eyes closed as the man spoke as she both listened and yet didn't at the same time. She had accomplished one of her goals and she wasn't going to waste the small opportunity that she had. 'Just long enough...' she thought to herself with a mental smirk. Her eyes opened only when she felt the hand on her head, and her reaction was much swifter then what would have been thought. One small arm came up to try and knock the older male's one's off of her head, allowing her to at least do a small roll to gain a little bit of distance. "If I were older and at I suppose my 'full potential' or even someone different and stronger you could have been killed right then and there yourself. My 'money' was placed out in a bet, that I could get you talking just long enough to where I'd be able to have function back in my body. I'll admit my full sight isn't fully back but my hearing is and it can serve just as well as my eyes. I also realize that I too could be killed within the time I'm speaking now and until I'm done, however considering that I managed to 'upset' you in some way and am still alive I'll take that gamble" she began, still feeling the slight trembling of her body though keeping her voice as calm as she possibly could. She had hoped that she could buy enough time for the elven boy to awaken as well, but it didn't seem likely at the very moment since he had yet to even make a peep.
"Honestly I don't really care whether or not you hate how my attitude is or that I'm ignorant and illogical. No matter the situation it comes down to the basic instinct of fight or flight no matter what you say. The fight doesn't even have to be physical, it could very well come down to a battle wit, however no matter how you look at it, it is still a fight nevertheless. Even if the outcome ends in a mutual agreement you're still avoiding a battle, hence flight, and chances are you have done some sort of 'fight' to come to it. That is my personal opinion and I am entitled to that. If you don't wish to think that way as well that's fine, you're entitled to that as well" she stated again attempting to keep her voice calm although a higher streak of fear ran through her as she knew there was perhaps a slight possibility of once more upsetting the man. It was true she could move freely, for the most part, again but she was still aware of the fact that he was much faster then she no matter of how she thought about it. And then again there was the simple fact that she would not leave Anier alone with a man she had deemed dangerous.
"Even at the risk of once more being called ignorant and stupid I would have to say for me personally yes the previous situation was more idealistic in some sense, however it hasn't really changed much. The only real difference is I don't fully know the enemy this time as I did previously. You may not see the logic in my suspicions and I personally don't expect you to. As I see it you could very well have drugged us and treated our wounds to in a sense 'throw us off'. From there perhaps you would see if you could get some form of information, of who knows what, from us while poisoning with food. Perhaps offer an antidote in exchange for whatever it is you want. I've found it to be a rather common practice, and perhaps is the reason I managed to wake up before my friend" she said as she tried to keep a careful eye on the male.
"And I'll say this again my name is not girl. I was also never actually a slave, I was neither bought nor sold nor traded, rather it was a 'forced adoption', and it was my family name that has kept me alive up to now. I also never said I would restore my family name, merely this house, of which how is my business. I would just rather not be called something as disrespectful as girl, or mutt, or animal. Quite honestly I'm rather tired of hearing it all the while those calling me such names demand respect themselves. So I suggest guy if you want any sort of cooperation, answers or respect from me in any way then you should at least start using my name rather then my gender" she said, attempting to try and add some sort of haughtiness to her tone, though not exactly succeeding. Deep down she knew that for her gender doing as she said would indeed be a difficult challenge, but that didn't necessarily mean she didn't have a plan of sorts. "I also don't feel I'm obligated to tell you anything that I have planned for my future as I don't make it a happen to tell strangers such personal information" she continued, her tone even despite her attempt to once more implement haughtiness in her tone and failing, as she crossed her arms over her chest.
