I really was :) I enjoy spending time with him. even if all we do is watch tv and do nothing hahaha (alot like today)

Having a lot of business is a good thing, sounds like you guys are a really good deli. I know the ones around where I live don't get that much business.

It's good to just chill out a lot of the time down time is when you can have your most memorable moments, it is also very very cost affective :p

it is yeah but its an annoyrance when we are trying to clean up and close the deli at 10 and people are still coming up ...

I can imagine I work at a call centre taking reservations for camping trips and that happens to us sometimes too, a person will call 2 or 3 min before we close down that line and they keep you on the phone for like half an hour humming and hawing over where they want to go.

It's cost effective because then you don't have to spend money on going out anywhere expensive and can just enjoy each others company in the comfort of your own home.

Working at a call centre is interesting, the best part of it is probably when you find the person the nicest site at their favorite park and they are really happy or when they just really appreciate the time you took to help them out. I also love that there are a lot of different people you get to talk to and everyday is guaranteed to be different, and we get to problem solve a lot. There are some down sides though, obviously the people are not always 100 percent happy (which you would think considering you are booking a vacation for them) they will get mad that they booked to late and didn't get a site in the most popular park around then yell at you, or they will not know quite how to use the website so they will call and yell at you. The rules at the call centre are pretty strict too, we get in trouble if we are a min late getting on the phones, and we have to have bi weekly tests on our policies to make sure we still know them to pass these tests we have to get an 85%. We also have everyone broken up into teams and we have to have bi weekly meetings with our team leads so they can tell us what we did wrong and which calls we failed (I have a meeting today actually). To pass a call we have to get 95% on it or higher and they will ding you for thinks like saying "ya" instead of "yes", or "I'm sorry my computer is taking a while to load" (apparently that is speaking badly of the program). The up side is everyone is very nice I just find the rules in the call centre too strict sometimes.

they always seem to compliment my hair and ask what colour I'm doing it next (right now it's bright pink)

Having regulars would be awesome although I have never worked in a place that would ever have a chance for something like that lol. Pink hair eh? that's pretty awesome what other colours has it been in the past?

umm yeah currently pink. it's been blue and purple and every natural colour under the sun and I plan on growing it really log and dyeing it bright pink again hahaha
but right now I'm thinking about going back all natural brown only because of some issues with my manager and I dont have the money for the upkeep right now

Brown is still nice too, I remember I loved to dye my hair purple for quite some time. I have to agree with you it is a bit of a pain to keep it looking good. Have you ever considered red, often times you can get pretty bright with it but employers don't usually mind, or is it the upkeep issue again?
