Emily Lian Carter

Emi walked into her dorm room, landing face first on the first empty bed she saw, which was the bottom bunk on the right side of the medium sized room. She felt so tired, having to wait for her cab from the air port, it being freezing outside she had to look through her carry on for an extra coat and scarf. Looking up from her pillow, Emily rubbed her eyes like you would see a child do after its afternoon nap. She yawned, seeing as no one else was in the room yet.
"I'll wait til someone gets back before we decide who gets what dresser I guess...."

Scarlett went into the room and sighed at the bunk beds. She noticed a girl laying on one of the bottom bunks and put her luggage on the top bunk above the girl laying down. She put her clothes away in the closet on her side of room and then pushed her suitcase into the closet as well. "Hmm.. What to do.." She mumbled, running a hand threw her black hair and looked back at the girl. "Hi, I'm Scarlett.. do you know where the shower room is?" She asked, grabbing some clothes to take with her. Since she was bored she might as well look her best.

Ace walked into the small room with his stuff slung over his left shoulder in his black duffel bag. He noticed a girl that seemed to be leaving to go take a shower and smirked, letting his eyes look her over. He then looked to the girl laying down. She also caught his eyes. He unpacked his stuff and took the bottom bunk on the left side of the room and sat down. "So what is there to do in this hell hole?" He asked, running a hand threw his brown hair.

(Mind if I just enter into room 45? If you do then I'll edit.)

Dimitri looked around the room he was in. He simply stood their, with no bags to unpack, nothing else to do but stare. He looked at the beds and decided to take a bottom bunk. He sat there and waited for people to enter. Apparently the room was supposed to have two boys and two girls. The thing was... Dimitri didn't even know what a girl looked like. His doctors were all men and so were the nurses that helped him. He was secluded from the rest of the patients because he hadn't been stable enough. He looked around and began to tattempt to read the book that Doctor Kenvido, his personal doctor had given to him. It was called The Catcher in the Rye. It was quite interesting. He had a difficulty understanding most of the book's words, but he made the best of it. He hated waiting. Not the action, the Loneliness of it all. He didn't like being alone. He had always been alone. He can't be alone here. He wouldn't be able to deal with it. After that the doctors would come and take him back. He didn't want that. He thought that he couldn't let that happen. HE promised the doctors he would never be back. Not in spite, but respect. They were like his family, the only one's the cured him of his loneliness, even only for a second. He didn't need to talk to people, but he just needed to be near them. He would sometimes try to follow them out, but they would always lock the door. He looked around and began to teeter with his arms wrapped around his legs, his straight jacket sleeves getting in the way. He reached into a drawer and found a pair of scissors and then cut his sleeves. He looked at his work. The cut was jagged but he was happy with it. He silently waited for others, still teetering on his bed.

Setsurou walked into dorm 23 with his bag over his shoulder. So these were his roommates. Two chicks and one dude. He noticed the top bunk on the left was open. "I guess I'm up here." He looked around at the dressers. He assumed the two on his side of the room would be for the boy and him, and the other two were for the girls. "So which dresser are you taking dude?"

The orange haired girl sighed as she walked into dorm 45. She dreaded sharing a room with others. What if they were bright and bubbly? What if the girl was really girly and wanted to do girly things with her like makeovers or playing with each others hair? She shuddered at the thought. She dropped her bag in front of one of the dressers before unpacking. The first thing she pulled out was a knife that she had hidden among her clothing. She wasn't supposed to have it, and her parents checked her bag and her numerous times over to make sure she didn't have any weapons. What if some pervy roommate tried to get fresh with her? She had to protect herself somehow, didn't she?

Dimitri looked at the strange creature in front of him. What was it? It obviously was a man, or a boy. Is this what a girl looks like? he hadn't realized it, but he had said 'girl' out loud. He quickly clasped his hand over his mouth and hoped she didn't notice him.

Kyoko jumped when she heard someone say girl. When she walked into the room, she hadn't noticed anyone else there. She turned around to find a very gothic looking male on one of the beds. "Um, hello." Normally, she wasn't a shy person, but it had seemed they were in an awkward situation. "I'm Kyoko Hasegawa. Who are you?" If they were going to be roommates, might aswell introduce herself.

Dimitri looked about crazed. "I... I'm... Di..mitr.." he said, forgetting how to say his own name, he didn't talk much in the asylum, "I'm Dimitri Merlin Millennium. Ni..ce to meet you." he said, trying to smile. It stepped out of the shadows and readjusted the straps on his straight jacket. He looked down at his feet and waited for her reply. He was interested in what she looked like but he was told by the doctors not to stay at people if he wanted to stay out of the asylum.

A shy one, huh? He seemed to be uncomfortable. Then Kyoko noticed that he was wearing a straight jacket. It was cool looking. "Wow. That's a long name. It's nice to meet you too." She walked over to the boy and held her hand out for him to shake. She felt weird having a male roommate let alone another she had not met yet. Oh, what would my parents say if they ever found out? They would surely flip.

Dimitri looked up at the girl's hand and shook it quickly before turning his head back down. "I hope we have fun here..." he said.

Kyoko walked over to the other bunk beds Bottom or top? She didn't know which one she wanted. With the top, she'd be less claustrophobic, but the bottom bunk would be darker with the top bunk blocking some of the light. But then again, if some psycho killer came in, he would have a harder time getting to her. Top it is. She chuckled a little to herself. "Without our parents hounding us every second of the day, we should have loads of fun."

Dimitri looked at the 'girl' inquisitively. "Yeah... No parents... " he said. "So you're a girl right?" he asked, hopping she didn't find it an offensive question. Oh... That's a stupid question Dimitri! he scolded himself.

Kyoko looked over at the boy oddly. She wasn't exactly flat chested. "Yeah. Are you a boy?"

Dimitri looked up swiftly and then down as he began to fiddle with the straps on his jacket. "Uh.. Yeah... I didn't mean to be rude.. I just.. nevermind... It's not important." he said, staring at the bed. He opened the small bag the doctors gave him and pulled out the small lighter they gave him and ball a piece of paper up and lit it, tossing in the empty traash can. It was empty. HE began to pile the paper up and make a small bond fire. It never got too big and didn't set off any alarms. "I hope you don't mind. I like fire. It's part of the reason I was in the hospital." He clamped his mouth shut. He wasn't supposed to talk about the hospital.

Kyoko looked over at the small bonfire. "I don't have a problem with it unless it gets us in trouble." In the hospital? Did he end up catching himself on fire? The boy was an odd one, but who wasn't these days?

"Um... Anyway... Anything I should know about you? I think its good to learn about people... I think..." he said, staring at the fire. HE really didn't need an answer. He just hated silence. "Do you know why I like fire... It's an oxymoron.. of sorts. It destroys in order to give life. The only way to rejuvenate a large forest, completely depleted of nutrients, is for the older, dryer tree to die. They have to burn in order to give way for the new generation and, ultimately, the survival of their species. Also certain religions, mostly in the Far East, believe we are 'People of Fire' believing that we are created of the flames of life. That's another oxymoron. 'The Far East'. Isn't it also the 'Near West'?" he asked, in an attempt of a joke.

Wow, this guy is smart. Most people don't know that about forests and trees. Kyoko sat down on the bottom bunk. "Well people would say I'm a troublemaker. It's why I'm here after all." The girl kept her eyes on the fire as the flames danced. That was one thing she hadn't been caught for yet, lighting things on fire. "That is very true. Fire can create things, but it can also destroy. Just like water keeps us alive, but in great force, it can wipe us out. Not to mention drowning us."

"Yeah... I guess so. Water and Fire. Nature's two contradictions. Life and Death. Hmm. Anyway. What are some of your interests?" he asked disturbed by silence and still staring at the dancing flames. He loved fire. A little too much.

"Music, art, manga, music." That was only a few of her interests, but she couldn't give them all away. It was best to always keep people guessing. If they can't figure you out, you got always had the upper hand. For what, she didn't know, but there could always be something in the future.

"Oh... What's Manga?" he asked. He was a recluse and didn't get out much. He didn't know much of anything.

I don't know where I came from, I was put into an asylum when I was 5 years old for stabbing her father 12 times because he hit her mother. When her mother came to visit her in the asylum, she stabbed her mother in the throat with a fork for putting her there. She was good ever since, and they let her out and sent her here.

*She walks into the room and sees a boy on a bottom bunk in a straight jacket and a girl on a top bunk. She looks at the ground and rushes to the bottom bunk across from the boy* U-uh, hello..... *she tosses her small bag under the bed, and stares down at the clothes the asylum had given her. She had grown very fond of the straps all over her jacket and pants. The only thing she didn't like about them was when one of the doctors or nurses at the alyum would snap all of the straps together so she couldn't move. Her dark red eyes move over to the boy on the opposite side of the room and speaks to herself* He has clothes like mine... Was he in the same place as me? I don't remember seeing him there....
